Hi.
Is any chance to connect USB 3G/4G modem via OTG and use it?
Anyone tried? I would like to use it, but I don't know how to make it work.
Any suggestions?

I don't know about connecting with USB/OTG, but there are a lot of 3G modems that would allow you to connect using wifi. Seems like that would be a good way to do it. Likewise, you could tether to a phone.
does ure modem have instruction on how to connect to it ? it shouldnt be to hard also tethering qpair to mobile phone should get you connected
I am using qpair, but i don't want, beacuse huge battery drain during connection.
I would like to use usb 3g modem.
In many tablets ( for example samsung galaxy tab) I can connect usb modem, set apn and it's working good.
In G Pad it's not so easy..
ppp widget
I've tried using a Huawei 3G modem on my G Pad running CM11 but I haven't gotten it to work.

I have the G pad tablet lg 8.3, I would use it with 3g modem cable OTG, someone already did. Viatinamita has a forum that demonstrates a young man using. Could someone confirm if it is possible.

I have recently acquired an Alcatel L800 4G modem for my netbook but would like to connect it to my Nexus 7, which does not have 3G. I have tried the PPP widget but without much success. The modem seems to connect to LTE but there is no indication on the Nexus that it is recognising the connection, nor is the PPP widget doing anything. I am sure they might be an easy solutuion to this problem and if so, can anyone please tell me if i am able to connect the N7, either with the L800 or another dongle, and if so how i go about doing it please?
Many thanks
It won't work. 4.3 disabled USB tethering with a internet dongle.

No one has an answer????
nobody interested in this technology that can save money by using one internet for many uses or no one knows about it!?!
What are you trying to do? I'm confused by your post(s).
Which rom supports this app. I tried it on stock kitkat and it didn't work
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbibpepper.WiFiTxPower&hl=en
I am having issues witth my wifi range on Lg optimous g pro e980 at&t. I am able to connect to wifi on Htc explorer while with optimos g pro on the same spot signal strength is too weak for optimous g pro to connect. This app can perhaps increase wifi tx power so I can get connected to wifi. If I take the mobile close to router wifi connects but it doesn't when its a little far and other mobiles are able to connect to it at that spot. Can it be a hardware problem? Please help..........

That one was last updated like 3 years ago: eek!
Maybe something in the *#*#4636#*#* menu could help figure out the problem?
Try disabling Bluetooth since it runs on the same frequencies. Also try changing the channel on your router to something in less use.
Might not hurt to put Tomato or DD-WRT on your router and up it's TX power. I imagine that app you found is just snake oil.
Hi guys, I try to figured out if it's possible to connect a 4G USB Dongle to have internet without Wifi.
I see a lot of you use the Huawei e8372 or E5573. My question is about using one of these (or something else cheaper) without Wifi, and directly through USB. Is it possible?
cheers

I don't know about your unit but should be no problem. Get mobile data SIM card from your provider and set connection as per modem instructions. Like your mobile phone. Ask your provider for details about plans and prices.

I have a z2f that I used to connect to Ethernet with a USB otg Ethernet dongle, but after some ota update this stopped working. Anyone knows what stock version has support for ethernet? Is it possible to downgrade?
The same happened to my z play

Z2F has 867MB/s Wifi 5GHz. Do you know that?
Here with glass fiber internet no problems at very high speed.
On Z Play there is no fast Wifi, just 150MB/s.
Maybe I don't understand your problem. Internet over usb for the phone, right? Better you use WiFi HotSpot, if it is in the another way. In both ways Wifi should be fast enough on the Z2 Force.

Thanks, but I want to use Ethernet, not WiFi.
Ethernet still works for me on the Jan 1, 2019 patch on the Z2 Force. I am using a Plugable USBC-E1000 dongle and it works like a charm.

Turns out it was an internal network problem. It works now
