Hi, how can I use my laptop Usb dongle internet on my LG G3 phone? Wifi internet was easy to use.
Read about reverse tethering app, is this it? I can use my G3 internet on my laptop through G3 Hotspot wifi active, but want it the opposite way..
Thanks

Hello everyone! First time poster here.
I've been looking for solutions all over and i can't seem to find one...
Internet at home is down and I'm tethering on my phone (tilt2 energy rom w/ att). Tethering works fine but i have to disconnect from the LAN to make it work.
Tethering internet creates another connection independent from the LAN.
I am using windows 7 and i'm wondering if there's any way i can tether internet on my phone and be connected to the LAN at home?

You could tether via Wifi or Bluetooth instead of USB.
thank you! that did it
Hi guys!
Just a thought, I have a PS3 and I have access to a local wifi, but due to the wifi having a MAC Filter the PS3 can not connect so I had a thought of USB Tether my Wildfire to PS3..
BUT
When I read online, I saw that I must use a computer & Cross over Ethernet cable to the PS3, and I don't have a the right cable..FYI My computer is also allowed on the local wifi.
SO
My question is this: Is there anyway to DIRECTLY USB tether my Wildfire to the PS3?
Why not white list the PS3?
I wonder if just using the USB Tethering option in Cyanogenmod 7 would work?
Does your Wildfire have access to the Wifi?
I wonder if you were to use a USB Wifi Adapter connected to your Computer/Laptop to create a 'Hotspot' from which your PS3 could connect? Alternatively you could I guess try this maybe...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1172528 - (Reverse Tethering PC/Laptop Internet to Phone) and then whilst connected... setting up the portable hotspot feature on your phone?
I hope one of these works for you.
Hope I've not confused anyone too much lol

I do not have access to the router & I can't contact the guy who owns the wifi because he's working away for a while.

From what I understood, Portable Hotspot only uses 3G / hsdpa connection and I want to use WiFi connection as I do not have an unlimited data plan.
I have seen the Reverse Tether guide before and have used this for another Buzz I own.
There are a number of excellent Reverse Tethering tools for Windows. However, I am unable to find a solution for Reverse Tethering from a Macbook Pro. (And yes, I have tried searching.)
Short of setting up a virtual Windows PC on my Macbook, does anybody know of a reverse tethering solution for Mac?
(Just to clarify: This is not USB tethering where I use my phone as the modem; this is using my computer's internet connection and passing the internet through the USB to the phone so I don't need to use my data connection.)
Thanks.

You could try setting up a WiFi Hotspot on your Macbook, and connect to the WiFi on your phone and tether that way.
Why not just use whatever WiFi the notebook connects to?

I'm new to the Macbook (coming from a Windows environment). I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the tip.

It's for when I'm at work...they only have a wired connection.
A quick search on Apple Support brought this up: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH6589
OS X 10.6 or later versions have tethering built-in.
So my WiFi is really slow but with a wired connection its fast. Is there some way I could connect to my router my lg g3 to take advantage of the speed or maybe to the computer.

So you want to create land line of mobile phone?
I guess, its sounds stupid but I need fast internet to download some things.
Better repair wifi because its something wrong with wifi if its slow, but wired internet is fast.
So i had my g4 set up to do this as one of my pcs are to far from ethernet. I reset my g4 and now for life of me cant remember. How i had this working. Any one got any ideas.
I know i had an app on g4 and an app on pc to detect the incoming usb internet connection. I am stating this now too. I do not want tether from devices data connection. Or hotspot. I want to share g4s incoming wifi to my pc usb. And i know its possible. Just cant remember how i had it setup
