[Q] internet calling (SIP) Quality for Gingerbread Desire HD?

I got a Telus Desire HD running CyanogenMod 7 Rom (final version).
I heard some people having sound quality problems during calls, however it's supposed to have been fixed with this rom (my calls sound good).
My internet calling sounds pretty mediocre though - (SIP).
I'm using voip.ms I do get better call quality on my Nokia n95 native SIP client.
I'm wondering if there's an issue with SIP call quality on the desire HD with modded roms? Perhaps the old issue that was causing GSm call quality wasn't fixed for SIP calls?
Any input is appreciated.

[Q] How is your quality when you call from skype when it connected to cell unternet

So i tried to make a several calls from my skype when I was connected to the cellular internet and the quality was very poor
I wanted to know is it my provider disease or it is something global?
I think it is your provider.
Personally I use skype only when I'm connected to Wifi and the quality is very good.
On my 3G data connection, VOIP is not allowed.
@++
On WiFi i have a grate quality but the problem is with the 3G i have a delay and sometimes the other side cant hear me
Depends what speed you are on.
You need at least 3.5g for it to work well.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
You should have least 5 MB synchronous for it to work good..
IP telephone need a lot of bandwidth in both directions
My provider is horrible, so its not very good, however, for some reason viper works better for me

3G while using HD voice?

If you are in a call when HD voice is being used, can you still use 3g during the call?
I was calling my wife who has the evo 4g lte and every time I call her 3g doesn't work. When I call some other land line I can still use 3g during the call.
Ok so the Sgs3 doesn't support hd voice.

Hmm then why can I sometimes use voice and data but sometimes not?

Alternative to T-mobile Wifi Calling for signal deadzone

I work in a small office in the middle of a building. There are no windows and apparently the only provider you can get a signal with at our current location is AT&T. I can't hook up my picocell I got from Tmo and don't want to use any alternative call forwarding services, as I'm already using Google Voice and don't want to add more on top of it. Is SIP internet calling a possible option?
What about Skype?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
If you are already using Google Voice, the easiest option is to just buy Groove IP, then instant wifi calling.
Or, bongostl made step by step directions for getting it to work with SIP for better call quality:

SIP VOIP services can be an option but are a bit clumsy. Lots of info in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646755
If you're at a PC you can always use the Google Voice number with Google Talk to make calls.

Reboot on call

I don't use my Z2 for much voice, but during the last two calls I got a reboot. Anybody seen this? Advanced Calling, BT, Wifi are all on.
I use mine daily for voice (via BT) and have not experienced a reboot. However, I have the advanced calling features disabled (both HD voice and WiFi). My wife's Droid turbo 2 had such bad voice quality with HD voice enabled that I won't even try to use it. But that's a different discussion.
I do face random reboots but not on calls.
