Try to use kingo root method, its easy and fast, plus doesn't trip your Knox warranty. Just Google kingo root application on your PC and then follow the instructions, is that easy.

look into Kingo and Vroot before you use it or recommend it. Its been know to have malware and even sends your phone's IMEI number to a server in China... ask yourself why would they need to do that. I've also heard from a video on YouTube that Kingo installed a camera.apk once you root... again, ask yourself why... spying?

I recommended because I use that one after use root de la Vega to root my device the first time, after root de la Vega my screenshot with spen doesn't work any more and the palm motion screenshot wasn't working either. I went back to stock ROM via Odin, and then re root with kingo root, I never seen any Camera application installed after root, and I don't know anything about IMEI sent to China, but sometimes this stories are like bigfoot, Aliens, The Moth man, etc. You just need one person to start a rumor about the IMEI sent to china, and then a paranoia start to spread around. Thank you for your concern, and I read those threads before I rooted with Kingo and I'm a happy camper at least until Tweaked come out of the Alpha and beta station then I will brake the Knox flag, and flash Tweaked in a heart bit.

Ya, Mega on FF fails alot. Mega on Chrome worked fine and faster.
I uploaded the smaller files to my box account. I can try uploading the 1.8gb file to my box but I can only host it for a couple of days since I need the space. Ill update my post once its done.
Update: Box wouldnt let me upload. Mediafire was the only mirror I could do. My og post is updated

Yup, except the original *rooted* 1.32.651.1 and 1.32.651.6 ROMS have broken links on flipzmode's link.geekfor.me site (follow all the clicks until you get to the file and you'll see a 404 error).
Try these:
Supersonic_1.32.651.6_rooted.zip:
http://www.4shared.com/file/8udsZ1sx/Supersonic_1326516_rooted.html
MD5: b96ac07e6d201b8832debf98be21188d

Yes, on some ROMs but you can disable it to take photos and then enable it again after. Remember this apk is a workaround not a proper fix.

Not sure how to answer your question because I'm lost as well.
I did download the apk onto my T-mobile Galaxy note II N-7105 LTE stock but rooted and it works perfect, camera works and is NOT disabled
Can any one explain what the real exploit is ? In normal non dev language ? what happens ?

Be careful installing brand new apps that have little feedback... could well be a dodgy app to take advantage of the exploit
Not saying that one is suspect, but just putting the warning out there until this security hole is properly plugged.

I've tried it and
1. there may be problems with the camera if you use it to block the exploit BUT
2. it's safe to use in order to root. just install it and choose root - the SuperSu app will appear and you'll be rooted; in an instant! want to unroot then? just go to SuperSu and choose unroot which will remove any traces of root
and yes, while you're rooted it's worth using TriangleAway to clear the custom update counter and statuses. the good thing with this rooting method is that it doesn't modify the kernel or the ROM so assumign you got back to a stock ROM, on next boot the bootloader won't set the status back to custom :good: after you're done just remove TriangleAway and SuperSu and I strongly believe no one would be able to tell you ever rooted or had custom roms installed.

Of course Yes if this Update is for a custom ROM.
If it's for a stock ROM you'll have to install this app again because a full wipe is recommanded.

Download the appropriate Odin firmware from the link in the first post. (you gotta have a SamMobile account)
Flash using Odin, like you did to originally root your S3. (Assuming that was your root method)
Though i'm almost certain your root privileges will be gone.
OR
Wait until someone creates a flashable .zip, and then flash in Recovery.

No, the ROM version and the modem version don't have to be the same or in sync. But don't cross flash modem firmware, i.e. flash i747M to i747 or vice versa, you can brick your phone.

So I tired OTA, well that didn't work, server probably busy so I went and fired up Kies and got the update that way.... while I was looking for what changed I noticed the SD card wasn't mounted... nor would it mount. So I popped it into the computer, sure enough everything was still there.. back to s3... nothing.... back to the computer again... check the format.. yep fat32.... back to s3 nothing....popped an old card in and it recognized it.... take that one out, put in the one it couldn't read before... and there it is.... weird right? We need to know what software version this is based on. It wont flash if it is the old software. We have no tar for the new software. Very easy to soft brick with no way back until the new tar is released. If you haven't taken the update it might be safe to try. As we have the tar for the old software. Would be nice to have a recovery as well. Thanks for bringing this.

This was given to me by a friend, I don't have any source information or I would have gladly posted it, I also do not have an S6 Edge+ to test with, or I would have posted tons more information about it.
I do apologize about the vagueness.

Then why ask for these files when we don't have root? I'm pretty sure we need root to get these files.

No, we don't have root. Only temp root is available for kitkat and even then, you can't do much with it and it unroots after a restart or shutdown.
No available root exploit or procedure has worked on our phone. The bootloader is locked up extremely tight.
