Anyone see this? T999UVALI1 released in September. Seems to be only 7.4mb.

Beat me to it! Downloading now to try it out

This will break root! Make sure you use ota rootkeeper before installing this update!

Baseband is now T999UVLI1
Kernals build date is Sat Sept 1
Build number is IMM76D.T999UVALI1

Were you able to flash or did you have stock recovery

Stock recovery, and yes it flashed fine for me.

Used mobile odin to flash stock recovery then the ota. Kept root that way

Or, alternatively, just download OTA rootkeeper and it will reaply root after the update.

Hey fellas any way I could grab this from you I'm on uvalh2 with h3 rsdio and would love to try this out and would super user elite root keeper work for this? This is a radio I assume?

Was trying to register so I can just download from samfirmware but the registration page stays blank I dont have a pc maybe a cwm flashable of this will come out.

here you go.....dawgboy i guess u have to be complete stock including stock recovery this calls for UVALH2 this is only a little over 7 mb i assume u have to change the file name to update.zip once its on your phone then flash in stock recovery. remeber complete stock or it will fail!....enjoy:}

also make sure u have the uvalh2 radio installed like i said everything has to be from uvalh2 including kernel. before installing this very small incremental update

Thanks sarni is this some minor code that updates uvalh2 baseband or kernel just wondering and did you see any improvements? also is it ok that I asked wildchild if he could make a cwm of this, again thank you sarni for this I tried and tried to reg with samfirmware from my t999 must be browser issues and I don't have a pc.

honestly have not downloaded it im on aokp right now lol but i think op describes what this update does i think its just radio and maybe a few minor things i mean cant be much it is only 7 mb lol and i am sure wildchld is on top of it already

I have flashed ATT TW AND AOSP roms for my Tmobile out of the box and it works. I then change the build.prop with root explorer.

Going to give this a try this weekend. It's a dumb question but could I use this to say port a Sprint ROM to my AT&T phone ? Just a straight port over but just changing the things you list here ?

I can't say for sure, but it should work just fine.
Though I must admit, Sprint is the worst choice you could make for your first port attempt. You could have problems with both libs and kernels.
And I still haven't figured out how to get MMS working on my Sprint port.

hrmmm Verizon doesnt seem like a good port either and most tmo are fairly compatible already. I'll keep searching I guess

I think Verizon would be a good choice.

Is there any way of porting anything from the international i9300 to the AT&T i747 using a similar method as found in the original post?
I understand the processor and radio differences.

There is going to be a lot more than is listed here for that... I doubt its really possible. Kind like you can't easily port a i777 ROM to a skyrocket

It will take much more than what is listed in the OP. I am not sure I have ever seen a ROM ported from Europe to the US (or the other way around).
As you mentioned, the processor and radios are different, but so are the system partitions. Anything is possible, but I think that would be a huge amount of work.
If you try this please be very careful. Many, many users have bricked their devices flashing a ROM from across the pond.

I wasn't going to try it. I had just wanted to get 4.1.2 without the AT&T bloatware and someone else's build that has additional features that I don't need.

Hey all, I was hoping to get some assistance on an issue that myself and stratatak7 have been having. We're trying to port the Intergalactic ROM over to VZW. Following this guide, I was able to get it to boot and everything is functional including calling and texts, but we cannot get any mobile data. We've gone as far as replacing the kernel with a vzw kernel and replacing the modules in Intergalactic with modules from a vzw rom but mobile data refuses to work. I would be grateful for any suggestions because it seems that we are at a loss. Thanks

Just to be safe can you screenshot your APN settings please to make sure they set correctly. Settings>mobile networks>access point names. It should take two screenshots to get it all.

OK, I apologize for having to ask this, but are you sure you followed all the steps correctly? I have to ask because my ROMs are the same version Intergalactic. Also, are you sure you grabbed the files from a VZW BLK3 ROM? Libs are the most important for data.
I have attached the files I use for my VZW port. I would change nothing except the ROM name in the build.prop for now and see how that goes. The eri.xml is compiled, so you can just add the file to framework-res with 7Zip. I started adding the csc files recently, but I don't think they really make a difference.

I saw this post about a phone fc and some other things. But the boot.img didn't work for data which sucks.

All the files were pulled from k3 ROMs yes. I've done the steps correctly to my knowledge, but I'll try again with your files when I get home and get back to you all. Thanks again.

Fantastic news; Using your files worked. I'm up and running with data and everything else seems to be working just fine. Thanks a lot for the help. Now i'm just gonna tinker around and find out where I went wrong.

For your own personal use you should be able to get by with just changing your build.prop. Maybe the apn if you run in to any data problems. You should not need to flash a kernel or radio.

I'm not sure why it would say that, but the firmware in this thread is the same build, MDL, as the update. If you flashed it you are updated.

Atmazzz have you been able to flash this and see if flashing OUDHS Recovery or TWRP Recovery works with ODIN?
I don't know why it wouldn't but someone to verify it would be nice. haha

Not yet. I downloaded the firmware this morning and then had to go to work. It will be about 2 more hours and then I'll install it and Odin TWRP to see if I can get it to root.

This is stock unmodified firmware - use ODIN , not some modifed recovery

Not at all. You can flash the previous firmware and ROM's built upon it with no problem. As well you can still flash Cyanogenmod.

Need Stock Firmware

I hope that I am not posting in the wrong section, however, the links to Stock Firmware in the Unrooting post are now dead, thanks to the USA's wonderful government shutting down Hotfile, I can't seem to find the original stock rom/firmware on another host.
If anyone could give me a hand I would appreciate it.
I need the 4.1.2 stock, so that I can update to 4.3 and get back to Jedi Rom. The instructions said to go to stock, then update to 4.3, then re-root+ROM, or the Wifi module won't work properly.

if you didn't want to go through all of those steps you could just flash devil or agni kernel and wifi would work. there is also a patch for the 4.1.2 bootloader to make wifi work also

Yes he is chomping at the bit just like me. The goodies will be here very soon. I have the tar extracted and working on a stock base now and it will be odexed and deodexed. Of course they will be rooted and without knox.

Well just to state what I experienced. Would not flash with odin 1.85 just hung at getting pit. Rebooted phone and tried 3.07 and worked fine.

Restore went perfect, everything seems to work flawlessly. I am actually going to run this rom for a bit, how would you go about getting hacked hotspot on it?

ETA: any suggestions on what could be causing me to be on roam so much now? never had this issue on MK4 and prior. call quality is degraded too. any issue going back to MK4 or MC2 modem on NE2?

I have tried every modem (1 day at a time) and seen no issues on NE2. That was on the OTA but I doubt that will make any difference.

Maybe a dumb question but would this tar work with mobile Odin. Don't have a pc at the moment and want to brick my phone. Thanks if anything I'll wait to I get home.

Not recommended due to the Bootloader changes. The S3 got a similar build and Mobile Odin didn't play nice.
