Not sure. Im guessing the problem because im using the tmobile note 2. I did read through the DN3 posts and someone got theirs to work...

I don't think your tmobile note 2 is causing the failure. My i317 also have this problem.
I tried different MJ5 but still failed at the same way and also after I flash the DN3 4.4 for , my the baseband will become unknown.

Check that Kies is not running in the background as it usually interferes with Odin. Hope this helps and good luck

If you updated via Ota or Odin, you're hosed AFAIK. Unless you used doc's ROM and special kernel setup, that's not possible to go back

If you're on the latest NE2 firmware it is impossible to downgrade back to mk4 due to Knox boot loader, download the NE2 tar and flash it thru Odin... good luck! You might have to look for a partition fix posted by jlmancuso somewhere in a buried thread...
I was able to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541395 using twrp and abd. After that i downloaded mobile odin and installed stock mk4

A friend of mine bought a refurb note 2 a while ago and im trying to help her fix her phone. The problem is it's stuck on tmobile bootscreen and it wont boot to recovery mode for some reason. Although it can boot to download mode and I doubt its rooted cause knox warranty says 0, I could be wrong though. Has anyone had this problem? Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: I just tried premiatul's suggestion earlier but odin gave me an error.
