Hey Guys! Im new on this forum (even though i have made this account some time ago, i never used it )
So.. i just Rooted my HTC Desire, which i've been so afraid of. But now i had to to it regarding the lack of SD-card installing.. BUT! now i installed this neat app called something like "app2sd" which unlocks the installing to SD-card, but it just unlocks the feature like the FroYo update unlocked, just on some other apps?
So my question is.. CAN i move the WHOLE app to my SD-Card, and can i do it without flashing a custom rom or whatever? (which i am afraid of doing) because i want some of those GAMELOFT apps and the main app does still fill up some space unfortunately..
I hope you get what i'm saying (im not the best at english, but im trying )
If you didnt understand me, and want to help me, just tell me and ill try slicing it in pieces
Thanks in advance!
- Mathias
Well the froyo a2sd do in fact move the full app. It just leaves data and dalvik cache behind on /data. But to answer your question, yes it is possible, but the best implementations of a2sd is found in the custom roms. Those are also a natural extend, when you have rooted your phone. And btw. there is no risk involved in flashing a custom rom at all. The risky part is the root process itself.
If you want proper a2sd, you must go about it in the following steps:
1. backup all files on you sd-card to your computer
2. install rom manager
3. in rom manager choose to partition your sd-card. Just pick 512 for ext, 0 for swap and the rest for fat32
4. Move all your stuff back to the sd-card, which should now show up as being 512 mb smaller
5. Pick a custom rom and download the zip file like leedroid, if you like the stock look(or find a flashable zip containing the files for a2sd)
6. backup anything necessary and flash the zip through recovery
edit: and btw. don't excuse your english. It's not bad compared to many other people on this board

Thanks for the fast answer!
Well its not for breaking my phone im afraid of using custom ROM, my problem is that theres always some issues, and i've heard something about the RADIO or some stuff??
But if theres a custom ROM based on the FroYo which allows me to move EVERYTHING from my internal to external, which would you recommend, and wheres a good spot to find alot of those roms?
By the way, i also want them in danish language!
Well as for stability, those completely based on the stock roms(leedroid) are just as stable as the htc-ones. And if you are already on froyo, updating the radio shouldn't be necessary. And the only roms without danish language on here is the one labeled miui(some chinese custom rom) btw. im danish myself.
But the way you want to completely move /data to /sd-ext is called data2ext, and i personally wouldn't recommend it, as everything gets kind of laggy in my experience. This is due to the sd-card being much slower in read/write rates than the nand chip, so keep as much as possible internal without filling it up. I would recommend a2sd+ instead, which should give you plenty of space for apps as well
A great rom build on std. htc with a2sd+ is leedroid as already mentioned or auraxtsense, if you want a different theme.
Yea I see but let's keep it English as some people might find it useful :b
But now I ran into another problem .. which is, that I know used that app2sd unlocker and now I can't put widgets on my homescreen from the apps? Like handcent sms if you know it?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Yes that is because the froyo a2sd solution stores the apps on the fat32 partition which is not initialized before late in the bootprocess meaning the apps is not accessible when widgets are loaded. So using froyo a2sd you should keep apps with widgets on internal.
But with a2sd+ on leedroid or a similar Rom this won't be a problem as the ext partition is initialized early in the boot process. So go with one of the custom roms. That would be my recommendation
Alright then.. but is my data from my apps stored on my sdcard? Like I have "3gwatchdog", and it has stored all of my data transfers. Is that saved when I back up my sdcard and just install the program on my custom Rom?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
No, data from apps is still stored on the internal memory
The ONLY way to get it all onto the SD card is to use a custom ROM which includes Data2SD - but it's still a bit buggy and can lead to a quicker death of your SD card
So theres no way, that I can save my stats from my apps, so I can restore them on my custom Rom??

Thanks for telling me about that app! But my problem as I see it now, is that when I wanna use Titanium backup, I do need "busybox" and busybox fails when I try to install it? On the market it also says that HTC Desire is not supported?
- what am I supposed to do then?

Hi,
First i will say thanks for the great rom, i will try it asap (a little bit more stable)
i read about this rom in the topic since it was started .
i have some Questions, it will be my first "clean" Android (without Sense)
There should be a installer after first start of the rom after flash? Where can i found more information about the things i can chose?
Evervolv toolbox, is that an addtional Settings Dialog with more Options or still a app which can be used as "standalone"
(sorry for the bad english)
When you install it you will get some options to choose a launcher and a2sd-script.
On first start you won't get the app to set your g-acc and so on, you'll have to do that in the system settings.
And the Evervolv-Toolbox are additional settings the this rom it's not a standalone app.
Hope this helps
grtz
Please note that Sandvold ICS v. 0.4.2.1 has some stability problems at the moment. Many people experience "black screen of death", device fails to turn on screen after a period of inactivity, battery has to be removed to reboot. I found that raising the minimum CPU speed from 245mhz to 384mhz completely removes this problem. With this small tweak the rom is great! You *should* be able to change this setting with Evervolv toolbox, sadly it does not work. For some reason the toolbox runs with insufficient rights to tweak cpu speed, I did my own scripts to set cpu speed from the console instead.
cheers

Hi! I use ICS since beta 0.3.9 and I'm now updated to 0.4.4
This release seem very stable now. Just remember that the camera preview doesn't work. Also, you might have some problem with MMS.
App space problem
Hello - some help for a newbie please (well Desire newbie)...
I did try reading though Sandvolds thread, and I have tried to remedy, but I don't seem to get much further ....
I am running an ICS beta on my tablet, so I thought it would be interesting to try it on my Desire too. On the tablet there is more memory, so I have never experienced space problems with apps.
I rooted the Desire OK - and flashed 0.4.2.1 ... ran fairly smoothly, but hit space problems when trying to load up some of my favourite apps. I have a 16gb sd card. I downloaded apps2sd from the market - and moved some of the apps. However still not able to update some system apps from the market due to insufficient space (even though there appears to be enough).
Reading the other thread, I have gathered some/little understanding... and so before flashing 0.4.4 I reformatted my SD card from recovery choosing the largest ext4 that I could.
I was then ready to go to try 0.4.4.
On trying the Amarullz script and Nova launcher - I was having lots of lag after boot and I kept getting prompted to enter PIN number and reboot the phone. (I had done a factory wipe and cleared Dalvik after flashing the ROM).
I then reflashed choose Apex launcher, stock Kernal and data2sd option.
I wiped after flashing, did a few waits and reboots - as others recommended this.
Now seems to run quite smoothly, I have added back a bunch of apps via Titanium Backup ... but I don't see any apps 'automatically' being moved to sd card. I have moved as many as I can manually.
But I can also see that I am going to run out of space again soon ....
If I look in the settings at storage I see...
Internal storage - Apps 104MB Available 26.86MB
SD Card - Apps 239MB
Am I doing anything wrong?

1). www.revolutionary.io use this
2). www.alpharev.com download cm7r2.img
3). flash the hboot
Code:
fastboot flash hboot hboot.img
4). re-flash 4.4 and choose stock a2sd
5. enable a2sd
Code:
su
a2sd install
#choose settings#
Thanks for quick response..... I have a fee more questions....
I originally rooted my Desire via revolutionary .... do I need to do it again?
I guess I then flash the zip file.
The fastboot command - can I do this from the terminal app?
hi,
fastboot command and adb must be running from computer.
you need to instal sdk android sdk android
if you run revolutionary, u don t need to do once again but to flash an hboot you must be Soffed.
dunno if revolutionary does the job... i used alpharev to do son gain S-offed and able to flash hboot from fastboot command.
I saw the option to install agps in the installer but i chose gps. How can i add the agps when i already installed the rom? Because getting gps fix in navigation is taking way to long, so long that i abort it while trying

2. Done OK
3. Done OK
4. Done ... BUT ... no Gapps, no Terminal app ... not much really not even a keyboard (even after 2 reboots)
- The link to Gapps for CM7r2 no longer works
5. Unable to try this as no Terminal app ... and I can't get ADB working on my PC.
where have my apps gone?
So I can't get cm7r2 to work, so I reflashed hboot back to standard, I then reflashed 0.4.4 choosing stock a2sd. I installed a2sd via terminal and moved cache too. After reboot I installed a bunch of apps .... and eventually ran out of space - as if apps not being moved.
I then rebooted, and all of the apps except the paid apps have gone. I installed a couple of apps from the. Market and they have also gone after reboot.
I turned a2sd off, then I was able to keep apps over a reboot ..... but I would like to get a2sd working.
Any ideas?
For now I am manually moving apps to SD card.
Sorry for this question...

Did you do a wipe after flashing the rom? I had a similar problem when doing that. CWM Recovery also deletes the sd-ext partition, and as on cm7r2 there are also system apps on sd-ext, they are gone.
With the included a2sd apps should be moved to sd-ext automatically. It is not shown on the phone.
How big is your ext4 partition? And did you create it with CWM Recovery? If so, try recreating with gPartEd.

I created the extra partition via CWM recovery - maybe too large as I made it 4gb.
I wiped the device and Dalvik cache after flashing the ROM.
I then set a2sd via terminal and allowed reboot.
I then downloaded apps (or restored via Titanium)
Eventually ran out of space when downloading apps - so they were not being moved.
Apps run OK.
When I did a normal reboot - the apps 'disappeared '.
Reading Bortaks debug guide the only thing I can see that looks relevant is to try reformatting the SC card with 2 primary partitions.
Read what i wrote? Do the following:
1) Recreate the partitions on your sdcard using GParted
2) Do a full wipe BEFORE flashing.
3) Re-flash the rom and select stock a2sd
4) Do NOT wipe again
4) Reboot, start Terminal emulator, set up a2sd
5) See if apps stay
On my first try I selected stock A2SD and set it up as explained using the terminal. (using a 2GB ext3 partition, placed after FAT32)
I rebooted and everything seemed fine, and I installed several apps. After a while, though, I got the "insufficient storage" error whenever I tried to install something. In the application manager the internal memory available had a large negative value.
I then wiped everything, reformated the 2GB ext3 partition to ext4, using "Minitool parition wizard" and reinstalled the Sandvold ICS ROM with Amarullz. Everything seems fine, and it shows 2GB internal memory. However, I've noticed that the ROM gets more unstable the more apps I install (it shows 500MB installed apps now, after removing around 50MB)...
Most of the time what happens is that system apps start crashing (Google Music, Dialler, Contacts, etc.) out of nowhere. After a while normal apps crash on execution as well. Google music is useless, as it crashes after a few songs and brings down the whole phone. Other music apps don't have this problem.
Am I doing anything wrong with the way I set up Amarullz? Should I retry stock A2SD with ext4?
I'm using stock HBOOT, Nova launcher and stock kernel.
Got there ..... but.....
After repartitioning my SD card for the third time ... I finally have this working.
Thanks to all for help/advice ..... but (isn't there always a but) ....
Downloads from the Market/Play are extremely slow maybe 5+ times the same apps took before .... I have tried on different WiFi connections - still the same.
Is this a consequence of the write speed of my SD card (it is only class 4) ... I did see a post in another thread where a class 4 wasn't recommended, but this was refuted by others using a class 4 card.
Otherwise all apps seem to be running OK, with no real loss of performance.
I guess once I have finally loaded up on all the apps I want, the Play updates will be more infrequent and less of an issue.
I've rooted my phone about a week ago and have been fiddling around with all the different things i can do with the phone, but my main reason for doing it was to help with the crap internal storage it has. So i got Link2SD setup and partitioned my SD card with a second ex2 partition, and for a while it will work well, i will have around 70-80mb listed as free on my internal but that won't really change much even when adding and linking new files with l2sd, but lately i've been running into a problem where it will drop down to 10-20 mb and just stay there. I've already tried formatting and doing a clean install which will fix it for a day or so, but it keeps dropping low and staying there even when i delete things to clean up space. I've clean installed 4 times already with the same effect, and now it's getting annoying since i started fresh yesterday and had the issue come up almost instantly, wiped again and now i'm already back at the same spot.. is there some folder that is filling up that i'm unaware of? I'm just very confused about this issue now hah, any help would be greatly appreciated
Link2sd doesn't prevent your phone from thinking that internal storage is full, I think.
I'd recommend trying s2e instead.
-----------
"You can overclock as much as you want, your phone will always seem too slow."
hmm, s2e won't run on stock rom will it? i think i've read that it will only run on cm7/9
Hmm. When I was new to link 2 sd I had same problem. Don't worry I got a fix. ^_^
1.Uninstall stupid system apps you don't use. We need to make space in system partition.
2. Download titanium backup and when u open it. Go to options select integrate davlic cache into rom. It'll take few minutes, when it's complete reboot.
3. Make sure all files are linked.
4. Clear cache occasionally.
5. If you still are low on space you may use this command as the last option.
Warning: you may have to reboot phone after installing a new app to run it for first time.
Go to terminal
Type 'su'
Accept superuser request.
Type 'a2sd cachesd'
Phone will reboot and may take some time to start.
6. That should be it. I'm running cm9 with link 2 sd and I have more than 100 apps still I got 75 mb free.

When you flash a new rom, make sure first thing you do is installation of Link2SD.
Tick auto link on it, and then install whatever you want.
It's how I solved that problem.
Now I have 107 apps installed with Link2SD, and around ~40mb of free internal space.

Try deleting files in /data/tombstones (if there is any), using a file explorer.
Many apps will save their data in your internal memory, even if they're linked to your SD. There are some programs (like S2E) that can move all your data to your SD but you may loose performance if you don't have a fast SD. One alternative is using Titanium Backup to move to SD data of individual apps, this way you can keep in your internal memory the data you want to access quickly (ie your contacts) and you move to SD all the other data. The process is reversible and if you think it slows down too much a specifc app you can move back its data to internal memory.
To do dat you have to go to "Copy/Restore" in Titanium Backup, long-press one app and scroll down until you find the option "Move app data to SD".
This way I've been able to save about 60 MB of additional internal memory and I haven't noticed any change in performance.
An additional advantage is that this Titanium Backup feature is available in the free version; the Dalvik cache integration proposed in a previous post is locked if you don't have PRO version.

Hi,
Can anyone confirm if this is still true. I've just installed Titanium Backup Free v5.5.2 and in the "Backup/Restore" screen I follow the instructions above and see a 'Move to SD card' option, but no 'Move app data to SD' option. Choosing the 'Move to SD card' option does not move the app data. Is it still available in the free app?
I'm very happy with link2sd with my stock rom HTC Wildfire S except that it doesn't offer me the ability to selectively link /data/data application files. Perhaps there's another linking app that does a more complete job? I've seen this thread mention simple2ext but that seems to require Cyanogenmod.
Cheers,
Mark

I can provide an answer to my own question here. It turns out that the 'Move app data to sd card' option only appears if Titanium Backup sees a valid mount point, as per this documentation: http://www.titaniumtrack.com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-technical-faq.html#requirements-for-using-move-app-data-to-sd
If you have a phone like mine (Wildfire S, stock rom v2.3.5) then you don't have one of the TB supported mount points so you have to create it yourself using Terminal Emulator and Busybox
e.g.
Code:
$ su
# ln -s /data/sdext2 /data/sd
# mkdir /data/sdext2/app
Also I've now discovered that for the functionality to work properly the second partition must be a unix filesystem type like ext2, ext3 or ext4, but not vfat (FAT32) since that doesn't allow TB to create symbolic links.
There's more discussion of this and gory details on this thread
Cheers,
Mark

Brother u are a life saver, I just followed your syntax and it worked like charm. I am now having 98 mb of internal memory from 38mb.
But have Couple of question for u....
1. Can u tell me if I have to run this command again and again after installing new apps or will it work on its own if once executed?
2. I have link2sd installed before this command and have linked all the files to 2nd partion of my sd card.
Is it safe to uninstall link2sd app now?

1. You only need this command again when the memory runs way too low. Don't try it again coz it reduces performance too.
2. I guess you can/ I've never tried it tough.
I ran into problem with your command...it force closes some of my apps which I noticed later ....
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using xda premium
I had the same problem a while ago that i had to reflash the rom because apps were force closing all the time
The reason this happened was because i downloaded several apps at the same time, so Link2SD didnt had enough time to link all files
and the internal memory became full and went crazy
the only solution for me was deleting all apps and reinstalling them
so my recommendation would be not to download more than 1 app at the same time, wait for Link2SD to link files, and then download the next one
Actually I did that I did a factory reset and then ran the command..bt after that my internal apps was also force closing like playstore, etc

i have the same problem and the solution (2 steps) is a bit stupid but here it is:
1 - go into (manage applications) in settings and wait till it calculate the storage of every app (under every app's name), where you will find that the memore increased usually from 12 mb to abou 20 mb.
2 - you have to go into link2sd app and do one of these 3 things:
1. link library files
2. link dalvic cache files
3. clear cache (not clear dalvic cache)
one of these options or more will do the track. now check storage and you will find more 30 or 40 mb
if anyone know a good application that links data too, i'l be very thankful
I am using link2sd with ext3 partition created through cwm recovery after re booting some apps disappear and i have to install them again
Any fix?

Hello Folks,
I have just moved from MW CM 5.0 to MW 4.3 (Oxygen) due to some call-delay issue of the first one.
MW 4.3 is quick and with no major bugs. the only bad surprise is the memory availability. Making a Titanium restore of all the previouse app+dada I crashed in the annoying "not enough memory" message.
I imagine that the fact that the M2SD is managed internally change the performance of it (true?). By the way I was playing with the different option trying to gain some space and I came across a new functionality (new for me) such as "bind /data/data to sd-ext/app-data" not really sure what it does but it increased my free internal memory from 12mb to 89mb. GREAT !! the only problem is that the overall speed of the system went drastically down. I guess it s normal as application will read their data from the SD instead of the quicker internal memory. Unfortunately with this option on the whole gsm was not usable anymore.
My question is: Is there any way to free more memory using this ROM? (with a decent GSM's response time)
Thanks for your help

GREAT !! the only problem is that the overall speed of the system went drastically down. I guess it s normal as application will read their data from the SD instead of the quicker internal memory. Unfortunately with this option on the whole gsm was not usable anymore.
My question is: Is there any way to free more memory using this ROM? (with a decent GSM's response time)
Thanks for your help
Stefano

Well... that's the only option available on that rom, is to enable and mount sdext, that way it will move apps to the sdcard. I don't think it moves dalvik. Either way, what's your sdcard and class? Usually moving only apps doesn't really slow nothing important unless it's a class 2 card or some card with slower speeds. Even moving dalvik the rom should stay fast IMO. There's a slowdown but not that much.

I think that option I used "bind" move app and data to sd-ext. my sd is a class 4.

if u check the attachments for the rom in the development thread, there should be a dalvik2sd.zip there, i think i posted it there ages ago. just flash it in recovery.

Jm,
I have a comment for you. First while I was looking for you post (could not find it though) I came across something that goes against your post, please read the following
<<
Do a clean installing!
Tips:
To enable Apps2Sdext and/or Data2SdExt visit Settings|Applications|Development.
To set the default installation partition go to Settings|Applications.
To move applications from sd-ext|sdcard|internal Settings|Applications|Manage Applications.
There is no Dalvik2SdExt because .dex will follow the location of the apk, so if you install an application on sd-ext the dex will be on sd-ext, the same applys for internal or sdcard.
Do not use A2sd scripts. >>
So where is the truth. Do I need this script or not. If you can explain me why could you also provide a link to this script?
Thanks in advance
Stefano

The part that confuse me is that "There is no Dalvik2SdExt because .dex will follow the location of the apk, so if you install an application on sd-ext the dex will be on sd-ext, the same applys for internal or sdcard."
I do not understand .. what he is saying, there is not dalvik2Sd and there is not need to have one (something like the A2SD) or there is not dalvik2sd so go ahead to install one.
if you know that the dalvik2sd script can free some space without side effects...pls post it
thanks

basically if u check the box to install apps in sd-ext, from "now" on apps will install on sd-ext, but there is aready dalvik cache on ur phone before u check the boxes and thats what the dalvik2sd.zip moves(i think). iv used the zip and has no effect on performance or anything, it just free's up a wee bit of space.
il post the zip in bout 2 hours coz im busy. if u look at the OxyZM thread, click the attachments, the file is there.

...hello jm just coming back to thank you for your support. Finally I have a stable situation. Nevertheless after installing the script you have uploaded nothing changed. I had to factory reset, reinstal CM 4.3, install your script and everthing went smooth. Now it s 2 weeking I am keeping installing new apps and my free memory stay basically stable uner 80mb free space.
I have just one curiosity..if I go to Settings--> storage I see SD-ext "unavailable". After all I do not care much but if it is unavailable...where my apps have been stored so far? ps I reserved 1Gb of SD-ext .
Cheers
ps I just installed another apps of 3mb...no changes in the free space, so cool I feel like "no-limits"

not sure if it's been mentioned, but you should also be on cm7r2 hboot to maximise space (need to be s-off).
then follow the instructions on the first page of the thread to enable sd-ext. this will move user apps + user app dalvik cache to sd-ext. in other words, most of the dalvik cache should already be on sd-ext.
the dalvik2sd script should only move system dalvik cache to sd-ext, which will save you a little space.
to check everything is working, use an app like 'diskusage' to browse your partitions.
Hey everybody,
Have a strange problem. My phone keeps saying I'm low on space, despite the fact that I have a 1,5 gb sd-ext, and still ~880 mb free.
The sd is formatted with 4ext, and the partition is ext4. The SD card is class 10.
See the attached file for a visual of what I'm talking about.
Hope that someone can help
Cheers,
- H
EDIT:
Aaaaannd, now it's stuck on boot...
I had simmilar problems with various APP 2 SD scripts, including INT2EXT (+)
I had problems downloading form Play Store, because it told me that I don't have enough space, nor I could install from SD Card.
My suggestion is:
1.Wipe everything except SD Card and flash the rom again, you can't boot in it anyway, can you?
2. Find a rom to install, and flash it.
3. Search for better app2sd scripts, ( If using gingerbread you could use Link2SD - Used it alot in gingerbread, it doesn't work well in ICS & up )
My questions:
What rom are you using?
What APP2SD script are you using?

Silly me, noticed your signature.
If you are stuck in a bootloop, and don't know what to do, do following:
1. Turn off your phone.
2. Boot in recovery
3. Connect your phone to pc with USB
4. If you're using 4ext then it will be toggle usb storage, if clockworkmod ( classic ) then it will be under mounts
5. Copy a downloaded rom to your sd card.
6. Flash it!
Hey bro,
Thanks for the response..
No, it boots just fine.. it's just weird.. but I think I get it now.. It has something to do what the script actually moves to sd-ext, what HBOOT u use, i.e. how much space is allocated for system, data, etc.. ..
You see, before I got a Desire, I had a Samsung Galaxy Gio, running a custom CM 7 ROM, with Darktremor a2sd script. That worked PERFECTLY for me, coz I had set it up to move more or less everything to sd-ext. And although I had almost 1GB of apps, I didn't notice any lag or performance loss.
But now, I'm new to Desire, and I don't know a lot of these "new" a2sd scripts and how to configure them properly.. So it's gonna take a little time experimenting what works, and so on.
The first custom ROM for Desire I installed was a MildWild GB ROM - great ROM. Fast, stabile, just awesome..
But then I started experimenting with various ICS and JB ROMS, and then the problems began to show.. but basicly I think, and I sure dont wont to offend anybody, that the devs should make their ROMS without a a2sd script of their choosing, or at least give us an option to install it or not. Then we're (more) free to install whatever a2sd script we wish, without having to go through /init.d and removing existing script, and what not..
But yeah, it's all good.. Just got play around with it some more
Thanks anyway tho,
- H

Try re-flashing the CM7 and try using INT2EXT+, sometimes APP2SD scripts doesn't work as they should, If you don't want to use scripts, you could use Link2SD - good choice aswell.
My setup:
Previously:
Stock Alpha Rev HBOOT
1.5 GB SD-EXT
4ext
cm7.2
Int2ext+
Now:
Everything the same except app2sd script and rom.
Evervolv Kitkat w/ built in App2SD

Yeah, tell me about it.. altough, I've never had problems with the "old", original DarkTremmor a2sd script.. it's this "new" modified a2sd xdata thing that bugs me.. And I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to remove it completly, and replace it with the original DT a2sd script.. (it's built-in VJ's JB ROM, which I'm currently playing with.. )
But thanks anyway man,

If there's app2sd in rom, but you need to activate it with terminal, then you might consider not to. Just give other APP2SD / Mount 2 SD scripts a try.
Link for INT2EXT:
CronMod Scripts ( INT2EXT )
I suggest you taking Int2Ext+
INT2EXT+
-Mounts /sd-ext to /data
-Leaves /data/data on internal for speed
-Works with EXT 2/3/4 filesystems
-ZipAligns /data/app on every boot
-No symlinks

Never really had problems with space running out on internal w/ it.
As ICS / JB roms go, I find them slow, and unresponsive, but kitkat is opposite

Wow, thanks a lot! These CronMod scripts look great. Gonna try it out tomorrow.
But this is just weird.. I tried pretty much everything; not activating it in terminal, then try to remove it; stuck on boot, tried replacing the script manually using root explorer --> stuck. Tried replacing the script in the ROM package (zip file) before flashing it --> stuck.. I'd just LOVE to see the decompiled framework, to see how the f**k it's embeded in this ROM, to make it so impossible to get rid of...?!?
Cheers,

If you want the same rom:
Open .zip package of the on pc.
Then Go in system/etc/init.d
delete something like: mountext and app2sd ( should look simmilar )
Then archive it (System, BOOT.img, META-INF ) Swith archiver program - Winrar perhaps? ( Using .ZIP ) extension.
Then put it in your sd card.
Then Wipe everything ( except sdcard )
Flash the rom.
Flash the Int2Ext script,
Wipe sd-ext again.
Boot.
If this doesn't work for you, you're doomed!
j/k. Just try another rom.
Highly suggest trying latest nightly for Evervolv Kitkat. (Evervolv / Bravo page.)
Since it's nightly you'll gonna find bugs, but from my experience it's better than all the ICS / JB roms. Might argue about GB roms.
If you decide to get KitKat, you can enable App2SD in it's terminal (not in the rom - fetch it at google play)l:
su
a2sd install
