[Q] updating to 4.3 -> error -> note 2 bricked..help plz - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi to all,
I tried to update the note 2 to the 4.3 version (india one). The rom flashing wasn't finished (it taken a lot of time, more than 1 hour and the laptop battery discharged).
Now when i switch on the note 2, it shows me the error: " firmware upgrade encountered"
I think it loaded the new bootloader, in fact if i boot my note in recovery mode it shows me "knox warranty void: 1".
I tried to flash the cwm recovery and now i'm able to boot it in recovery mode but i'm not able to mount the sd card (it mounts only as usb storage, not in the other mode).
I tried to flash the note 2 with:
- the factory rom: N7100XXDMB2_N7100OXADMA5_N7100XXDLK7_FACTORY_XEF.TAR
- using PIT: PIT_N7100_16GB_20121102.pit
but odin shows me this error:

<ID:0/003> File analysis..

<ID:0/003> Initialzation..

<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
and on my note 2 there is an error: "unsupported version"
what can i do?
thanks

Yes i' able to format it. Just do it. But after that, i'm not able to mount it.
I made a search, and i read that it could be a cwm recovery problem. I have to try with another recovery

Hey you wanted to upgrade right? So why don't you just flash that stock 4.3 mk4/mk3 rom with the new bootloader..? Because you already have the new bootloader, you can't do anything about it now...until dr ketan finds a way to downgrade

Yes, it is what i'd like to do. But i'm not able. If i try to do it, odin shows me this error:
imageshack.us/photo/my-images/200/4nxc.png (add http before, sorry but i'm not able to insert a pic or a link because i have less then 10 posts )

UPDATE: using windows XP i wasn't able to flash the 4.3 rom. I try with Windows 7 and it works

maybe you can try to flash a third-party recovery like CWM with odin and watch if it flashed successfully and if you can enter recovery. the recovery file is a normal tar.md5 which can be flashed like stock firmware.Drivers works well under windows 8 8.1even the newest windows10 tp

Do these at your own risk.
search for PIT file made by dr ketan and flash it together with the stock n7100 firmware in odin. that will solve tour problem.
somebody posted pit file here.. be sure that your n7100 is 16gb
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1927983
extract it and use that together with the stock firmware in odin. select pit for pit files and pda for stock firmware
after finish flashing it will be stuck again in samsung logo. boot again to recovery mode and wipe data/reset to factory mode and then reboot

[Q] Sprint Samsung Note 2, boot Loop after NK2 OTA , L900VPUCNK2

Hi,
My samsung note 2 (sprint) was NOT rooted, I got the latest OTA update (NK2) the phone run out of charge and got stuck on boot loop ( samsung note II screen), it wont charge ( it shows battery but no progress). I tried a different battery but did not help.
I went to recovery to do "wipe data/factory" and "wipe cache partition" but there was a lot of error messages ( e:failed to mount /cache no such files or directory)
I tried to flash a stock rom (NE2) from rwilco12.com using odin 3.09 but Odin failed:

Anyone knows how to fix this?
Should I flash a custom recovery?
Any help will be VERY appreciated !!!!!

I just posted a thread that can help you. Please see the section on soft brick after NE2 to NK2 update. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine. See it here:

Good luck!

Unroot... I'm going to lose my mind!

I've been searching the forums for 3 hours and it's gotten me nowhere.
I am trying to unroot my Note 4. Here are system specs and what I've tried:
Device Model: SM-N910P
PAC version: LP Beta-1 Nightly
Android Version: 5.0.2
Baseband version: N910PVPU2BOE1
I have tried to unroot with BOB7 using both Odin 3.07 and 3.09. Both times I get the error message on ODIN:
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..

And on the phone:

I have tried rerooting then using Odin to the same result. I am currently downloading ANIE to try that.
I have also tried swearing loudly, promised to throw virgins into a volcano to whatever deity will listen, promised my phone sexual favors and/or savage beatings, and I've consumed some whiskey.
What am I doing wrong?
U have to use a oe1 tar file and use odin you cant oding back to bob7 now that u have oe1 once u odin backto stock oel then you will be root less be careful that tar with most likely wipe internal info make sure u do a backup

Use OJ6 tar (latest☺). You'll find it in Sprint Note 4 general forum.
Backup what you want to keep, wipe everything but extSdCard. Delete the Android folder on extSdCard. Power down and pull battery for at least 30 seconds before going to download mode. Use latest Odin with defaults, let it boot and run the setup wizard.

Thank you so much. I have downloaded the file. and tried to update it and i was able to flash it and phone booted well, but it restarts again and again. it happens with all the file. Thank you so much for this atleast phone booted. I loaded all the 4 files except the PIT file.
Should i also try to load the PIT file? How to load a PIT file what should i do, should i check the partition option in ODIN with PIT file. What should i do, is it any solution? of this restart again and again, i also tried to wipe cache in recovery, now my phone is able to run into the recovery.
Thanks a million time.

I had USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking enabled (Tried with OEM Unlocking disabled also)
Now the phone won't boot at all. I have tried to Factory reset it and get no errors BUT I'm stuck at the Boot logo forever (left it for ~2 hours)
I don't know if it matters but since the phone doesn't boot anymore so I cant enable OEM Unlocking again
Sorry if i'm being an idiot i'm new to this

Tried flashing stock firmware, It gives the same error. Maybe I have the wrong firmware or something? Can you give a link to the current firmware?

I managed to flash the original firmware using the Verizon software recovery thing. During first boot I was also able to skip/cancel updates so now my note is running without any limits and updates disabled via Package Disabler
