Hi! I just installed DN3 on my note 2 and now my baseband is MJ9. But I need to unroot it to use some apps root protected.
If I do the unroot through SuperSU I will be able to re-root easily If needed?
In order to search the correct file to root by odin I have to look for the correct archive for my baseband?

You can do using odin but i had custom recovery installed philz touch, you can try other recoveries like twrp also. Recovery would make it easier for flashing supersu zip file whenever you want to root.
Is it possible to restore my stock ROM from nandroid backup and delete every trace of rooting?

I just update via OTA but now I can root or cwm my phone?
I try the old way I did before on my bricked s3 but today when I got my new one I update to h9 and when I try to install cwm via odin it didnt work...
Any help

It worked but when you reboot your stock touchwiz ROM reinstalls the stock recovery automaticly everytime you reboot.
In odin uncheck "force reboot"
Flash CWM
Remove battery of the phone
Put it back
Boot directly in recovery with the volume up+home+power combination
You now can boot in CWM to flash your .zip files.

Another question
Ok after flash cwm...I can flash any rom I want and not worry of loose the recovery?
I meant I flash x rom and then I can boot on recovery every time I want
Enviado desde mi SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 usando Tapatalk 2
Exactly! Once you'll install a Rom like AOKP, the CWM recovery will stay installed as your default recovery

Hello,
I want to flash a custom rom to my Galaxy Gio, but before, I want to make a backup for the device, I guessed using CWM Recovery will be good, so I searched about it, I read that it may brick my phone when using if with an rfs filesystem, which is my case because I use a stock rom and want to flash the new rom.
Any help or advice about backing up my phone which has stock rom ??

Wi-Fi problems ?
Like ?
Currently I don't have any problem with Wi-Fi
Did you already rooted your phone. You need to root your phone before flashing custom roms. There is a chance your phone get bricked but when you read very much and do exactly what the guides says there's no problem.

Yes I did, and I know there is always a chance, it depends on how much you follow instructions. But is it related to filesystem ?
U can't backup stock rom via CWM. Moreover, u need to have only CWM to flash custom roms(which are pre-rooted).
Hope this helps...!!!

your argument is invalid.
you can backup a stock rom, as long as you gained root acces and are using the right version of CWM

Well, It bricked when I made a restore from that stock ROM backup, now fixed it and restoring things back manually.

Oh so you are rooted right now?? If so just download triangle away and flash a stock firmware
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, I'm rooted but everytime I I'm using the Triangle Away, because of the CWM, the flash counter stays at 1 and Device Status: Modified.
That's why I asked If I can only Root without installing also CWM

Thank you very much for your help. Have a nice day
Use Framaroot, I've never had any trouble with it. Use SuperSU and Paragorn method. SuperSU will allow you to fully unroot, then unroot in Framaroot. Reboot your phone, then factory reset and it's back to stock
Thank you very much
Hello, guys I just installed cwm through odin. The recovery works fine. .and I flashed the supersu zip file through the recovery and rebooted. I tried opening the supersu it says thus message. Use cf-auto root, you may have to be in stock recovery though I'm not sure, so flash back to stock just in case and then flash cf-auto root, after that you will be rooted.. Of course since you have a custom recovery you can also just flash a custom ROM if you wish

Well, installed n preview, rooted and installed custom recovery. Now I wanna get back to marshmallow, but do I have to reflash factory image? Or I just have to wipe and flash a rom? thanks

I think you need to flash all img, that includes the userdata.img which will wipe your device.

that is one way, but he could also just flash a custom rom and matching vendor .img after doing a wipe in TWRP.
Can't he just opt-out from the dev preview and it will send an update? From there just flash the stock N recovery.
Here's just the recovery IMG
Link to opt-out: https://www.google.com/android/beta
If you manually flashed this will still work. Just opt-in, then opt-out.
how did you root root on N?
