[Q] HTC Drivers - Verizon HTC One (M7)

Hi all,
I'm looking into potentially S-Off'ing my phone using the beaups route, but I'm not entirely sure where to find the HTC Drivers he says we need to complete the s-off.
Does anyone have a link?

Just hook your phone up to the pc, let it install the drivers and sync, uninstall sync and delete it. Run beanups. And sit back and smile in shock and awe at how awesome your phone it's after.

I rooted and flashed clockwork orange. Now I want to revert back to complete stock recovery and all. How do I do this? I don't know if this is the right area for this topic.

flash the RUU .exe which will load the stock system, recovery, kernel and everything.
If I were to restore my EVO to stock, then run the official Sprint OTA update that just came out, will I still be able to root it? Or does the new update block Toast's root method?
Clockwork ORANGE??? lmao! I loved the movie though, loved it... U mean clockwork mod right? Oh yea just get the stock RUU.

The second OTA breaks RUU bootloader according to reports.
I tried the ruu and when it tries to open the bootloader it fails.

This is EXACTLY what I say in my head when speaking about Clockwork Mod.
I was able to get past waiting for bootloader by putting the phone in bootloader mode before running the RUU. But it gives an error message saying the bootloader version is incorrect.
dammit all i want is to go back to stock no root no nand because 4g is broken with these new ota rooted crap that came out today!
Can someone post the stock recovery or a method of going back to a stock recovery pleaseeeeeee

The steps below worked for me. I had the latest clockwork,dc rom and The latest rooted ota updates installed.
http://www.htc.com/us/support/evo-sprint/downloads/
I unplugged/plugged my phone into the computer a couple times, switched to htc sync mode when it asks what type of usb connection I wanted(to install more driver updates), and did 2 reboots on my computer (windows 7 ultimate x86) to get all the drivers updated/installed and working as they should,
then I just turned off the phone, held volume down and held down power button to get to bootloader,
then I pressed Power button one more time to get to the menu where I can reboot bootloader,
then I rebooted bootloader once or twice BEFORE the unrooting process for good measure.
Stock RUUs
http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Supersonic/
RECAP
Download and install HTC Sync Update http://www.htc.com/us/support/evo-sprint/downloads/ (if you already have it installed then click the repair option, or better yet uninstall your current one even if it is the same one, reboot your computer and then install this one again, all for good measure.)
Download either one of the RUU Stock Roms, I would do the first just to be safe http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Supersonic/
Plug your phone into your computer, make sure ALL Drivers install properly if any, you may already have drivers installed, but double check, switch to HTC Sync mode and let it install any extra drivers, then turn off your phone and start it in bootloader (Hold Volume Down +Power button) Reboot your computer for good measure too, to make sure everything has been properly installed.
Then you can finally double click (right click run as admin imo) RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26_release_171253.exe and start the unrooting process, good luck!
Will this work if I have clockwork mod as my recovery?

if you have clockwork, you still have system access and should beable to use any of those RUU's to downgrade back to stock.
i did the same thing and now im back at stock and have latest update running stock rom.
put phone into bootloader mode, then run RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.6_Radio_1.39.00.05.31_release_171253.exe
follow steps. and then you should have stock evo.
check for OTA updates and install it.
wait 10-15 minutes before rebooting after the update completes..
mine kept saying there was an update. which there wasnt, it just kept trying to download same update.
Yes it should I had clockwork too.

[Q] 2.3 Problem, please help!

So, my Desire HD popped up with the new Android 2.3 Gingerbread update last night, and i downloaded it. After downloaded, i plugged it into my charger, and startet the softwareupdate. But instead of updating, the phone rebooted with this screen.
Edit: I'm unable to post the picture since i have less than 8 posts, but you can see the picture by googling Android exclamation.
How do i get out of it? Does anyone know?
- Thanks!
Doesn't anyone know a solution for this?
Did you delete any system apps?
I had this problem because I rooted and had S-OFF on 1.32.
That verification error is coming up on boot up because you have S-OFF like I did.
The solution is to flash your phone with the 2.3 Gingerbread RUU which is the same as the OTA.
You can then use Gingerbreak .apk to get rooted in Gingerbread I did this and it worked day before yesterday when I had this exact same issue.

Could you maybe explain it a little more detailed?
Where do i download the Gungerbread RUU, and how do i install it when i'm unable to boot?
1. press power and vol- and go to bootloader download the ruu 1.32 from here and run exe on your computer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824357
2. make a temp root with visionary
3. Download radio s-off tool from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537 and make a stock cid which is HTC_001 and leave your phone s-off in case tou wouldn't like 2.3.3
4. Restart phone and check for update
I'm not at home at the moment but there are threads here with the download links to the official 2.3 RUU. You want the .exe 2.3 RUU make sure you have usb debugging enabled and attach your DHD to pc and run the 2.3 RUU .exe program to update its easy to follow the program, once done use Gingerbreak .apk to root as I did.

I was the last time i was able to use my device.
The computer doesn't seem to know that the device is connected.
I send an email to HTC, waiting for response.
You need to make sure you have connectivity between pc and DHD. Put your DHD in disc drive mode does your pc open the SD card ?
Also have HTC Sync installed on pc. I had an issue like this on win 7 64bit ultimate, downloaded and installed android sdk, then from android sdk downloaded 'platform-tools' this has the same adb inside.
If your HTC Sync is syncing you have connectivity. Just have your DHD in usb debugging and charge only when running the RUU .exe

How do i put the phone in disc drive mode when i'm stuck on the android warning screen?
Take the battery out and switch on, it should boot up to normal stock 1.32 or whatever you were on before trying to update via OTA. Then check connectivity between pc and DHD. Have usb debugging enabled and try syncing with HTC sync. Then you can see from that if you have any connection problems. If all ok proceed with running 2.3 RUU .exe on pc while DHD is connected in charge only mode.

[Q] Help Please - Bricked One X

Another thread like this... I know. Sorry.
In an attempt to load the modified battery management file, I've managed to brick my One X. It just sits at the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen and that's as far as it gets.
I can boot into bootloader and then use fastboot, which in turn has allowed me to load the Clockwork Touch Recovery. I can reboot and load this recovery fine. But whatever I try, I cannot get it to boot back into the normal OS.
I cannot mount the phone on my laptop as that's not an option (that I'm aware of) in the One X recovery mode. Therefore I cannot copy across a new ROM to the SDCard and reload via 'Update.zip'.
Battery is healthy, everything was working prior to this failed attempt at being clever.
What other options are there to re-load a ROM and get the device working again?
Thanks in advance for your help
Rob

Thank you, very much. A question, where it says:
'After that download RUU specific to your handset and run. This should install fine and return you to stock.'
I've downloaded what I think is right and I have a .zip file, how can I get this onto the device to install it?
It is mentioned in the instructions. You will need to use adb.
Edit: I presume that you have fast boot and adb installed on your PC. If not you will need to do that for your device to be recognized

That's the trouble, I can't. Because there is no USB access in recovery, ADB doesn't work.
Unless I'm missing something obvious?

No adb.
Boot into fastboot on mobile and run the RUU from pc.
You need to have your bootloader locked before the RUU can run.
fastboot oem lock
Also did you try a factory reset in recovery and then tried to reboot into system

Thanks guys, sorry for the slow reply...
I do indeed have ADP/Fastboot on my computer still.
Where can I download the stock RUU? I can find a .zip version from this very forum, but how do I install that if I can't transfer it? I had assumed there would be a .exe version to run from my computer. Is there?
skywalker1970 - I did indeed try that, thanks.
Thanks again

Unroot using OneXRoot.com, now stuck at bootloader

Hi guys, seriously need some help.
Was on LeeDroid ROM and Bricked kernel.
Restored my phone to stock ROM using CWM recovery.
Followed the unroot method on OneXRoot.com
All the way till step 13 (factory reset using stock recovery).
Now I can't get out of the bootloader. Seen people mention RUUs. How do I flash them?
Please and thank you,
Laz.
When you are in the bootloader menu. Select fastboot. Have HTC Sync installed but closed. Download the required RUU for your device if you need help with this just ask . Plug your phone in when it is in fastboot and run the RUU.

[Q] Desire hd 2.3.5

My desire hd is 2.3.5, Sense 3.0
I have done nothing about root/ s-off. It's like a new phone.
i want to upgrade to android 4.0+.
What should i do?? (i guess root and s-off, but not sure)i searched in xda and Google, but still no idea.
Can anyone can help? Hope u can give me the link as well.
Hi.
YOU NEED 100% Battery for this!
Fist off you will need to download AAHK (Advance Ace Hack Kit) http://tau.shadowchild.nl/aahk
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER I can not stress that enough. This WILL wipe your phone so if you want to keep SMS's use this download http://tinyurl.com/csl5qx7 (linked to play store)
Do the SMS Backup first if you want to. Then do the AAHK. This will downgrade your phone (wiping) and then root it for you with one button (Easy Right?!)
Now, you need to turn your phone off compleatly, so take the battery out and back in again. Then you need to press the power button and the volume down at the same time. This will take you to the Bootloader screen, There should be some little android guys at the bottom of a white screen. Now you need to navigate using the volume rocker to something called recovery screen and press the power button to select it. In there you will need to find the backup and restore menu using the volume rocker to navigate again. And then you need to make a backup of your current ROM. This WILL take a while.
while that is happening you need to find a ROM. Its personal preference really but one that I use that is JellyBean is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 (JellyTime) Very good ROM. Store that somewhere one your computer where it is easy to find.
When the backup is complete reboot your phone by the option in recovery.
You now need to transfer your ROM's zip file over to the phones SD card and rename it update. With the JB ROM you will also need to transfer the Gapps zip that should be on the same page as the ROM that I linked. When that has done then you need to reboot and go back into the recovery screen the same way as before.
When in recovery, you need to "wipe Data/Factory reset" and then just to be on the safe side "wipe cache partition" you then need to find the "apply update from SD card option and select it. This will now update to the JB ROM. When that has done navigate to the "install zip from SD card" option and install the Gapps zip. When that has done reboot and enjoy your shiny new ROM!
Enjoy!

You can use the guide in my signature to learn the basics, if you are not used to it. The rest is reading the manual and the Hack Kit site...:good:
If you need a backup of your current rom, you can unlock the bootloader, flash recovery, make a backup, relock and run the hack kit.

Is the driver installing succesfully? after installing and plugging the phone, you will see the device manager install the driver and will prompt "device is ready to be used".
If that is happening, then make sure that you are using the oem cable and that the usb port is 2.0 and not 3.0. Use a different usb port...that is merely a connectivity issue. Have you checked connectivity per le effen manual?
