Unroot using OneXRoot.com, now stuck at bootloader - HTC One X

Hi guys, seriously need some help.
Was on LeeDroid ROM and Bricked kernel.
Restored my phone to stock ROM using CWM recovery.
Followed the unroot method on OneXRoot.com
All the way till step 13 (factory reset using stock recovery).
Now I can't get out of the bootloader. Seen people mention RUUs. How do I flash them?
Please and thank you,
Laz.

When you are in the bootloader menu. Select fastboot. Have HTC Sync installed but closed. Download the required RUU for your device if you need help with this just ask . Plug your phone in when it is in fastboot and run the RUU.

Will HTC Sync Manager do? Or does it work only with HTC Sync?

Im not sure actually I installed HTC Sync as I know it comes with the drivers.

[Q] Install RUU from recovery or fastboot

Can't get my phone to boot into a rom, but it will boot into Recovery and I have S-OFF + Fasboot. Trying to flash on the 'RUU_Bravo_Froy2_UK_2.14.207.1_Radio_32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2_release_144166_signed' so I can just send it back (think it has hardware failures).
Please could someone help me on how I can do this? Never used an RUU before
Thank you
To start with, boot your phone into fastboot (power & back key).
Connect to PC, phone should show 'fastboot usb'.
Turn off antivirus.
Run the RUU as administrator if not using XP.
let it do its stuff

Oh, thank you!
All the tutorials kept mentioning I needed to use HTC sync etc, glad it can be done via fastboot.
EDIT:
Yeah that all worked, phone is back to stock. Still doesn't boot into the ROM so I can assume it's a hardware issue now?
Yep but at least they'll deal with it as it's stock
thank you thank you thank you. This thread took forever for me to find, HTC sync hates me but this worked! and my warranty is up next week i needed to send my phone back.
Many thanks guys - xda is the bomb!

A RUU is a Windows program that you execute on a PC and then connect your phone with the USB cable to perform the ROM update.
Thanks to specify it, when i run the program , nothing happen . my phone is connect using HTC sync

Your phone needs to be in 'Charge Only' mode, not HTC Sync. Also start the RUU on the PC and then connect the phone to the USB cable when the program tells you to.
ok i will try again . thanks
For the inc 1 there's a stock image RUU that you can flash in hboot. Not sure about the inc 2, I thought I saw a link to them somewhere. A lot simpler to just do it through hboot than having to run it on a computer.
Thanks ,i am checking a full RUU to run using hboot . But the first solution still not working in my computer , i dont know why .

[Q] Help Please - Bricked One X

Another thread like this... I know. Sorry.
In an attempt to load the modified battery management file, I've managed to brick my One X. It just sits at the 'HTC quietly brilliant' screen and that's as far as it gets.
I can boot into bootloader and then use fastboot, which in turn has allowed me to load the Clockwork Touch Recovery. I can reboot and load this recovery fine. But whatever I try, I cannot get it to boot back into the normal OS.
I cannot mount the phone on my laptop as that's not an option (that I'm aware of) in the One X recovery mode. Therefore I cannot copy across a new ROM to the SDCard and reload via 'Update.zip'.
Battery is healthy, everything was working prior to this failed attempt at being clever.
What other options are there to re-load a ROM and get the device working again?
Thanks in advance for your help
Rob

Thank you, very much. A question, where it says:
'After that download RUU specific to your handset and run. This should install fine and return you to stock.'
I've downloaded what I think is right and I have a .zip file, how can I get this onto the device to install it?
It is mentioned in the instructions. You will need to use adb.
Edit: I presume that you have fast boot and adb installed on your PC. If not you will need to do that for your device to be recognized

That's the trouble, I can't. Because there is no USB access in recovery, ADB doesn't work.
Unless I'm missing something obvious?

I just edited my reply. Do you have all the drivers installed on your PC?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
No adb.
Boot into fastboot on mobile and run the RUU from pc.
You need to have your bootloader locked before the RUU can run.
fastboot oem lock
Also did you try a factory reset in recovery and then tried to reboot into system

Thanks guys, sorry for the slow reply...
I do indeed have ADP/Fastboot on my computer still.
Where can I download the stock RUU? I can find a .zip version from this very forum, but how do I install that if I can't transfer it? I had assumed there would be a .exe version to run from my computer. Is there?
skywalker1970 - I did indeed try that, thanks.
Thanks again

[Q] Desire hd 2.3.5

My desire hd is 2.3.5, Sense 3.0
I have done nothing about root/ s-off. It's like a new phone.
i want to upgrade to android 4.0+.
What should i do?? (i guess root and s-off, but not sure)i searched in xda and Google, but still no idea.
Can anyone can help? Hope u can give me the link as well.
Hi.
YOU NEED 100% Battery for this!
Fist off you will need to download AAHK (Advance Ace Hack Kit) http://tau.shadowchild.nl/aahk
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER I can not stress that enough. This WILL wipe your phone so if you want to keep SMS's use this download http://tinyurl.com/csl5qx7 (linked to play store)
Do the SMS Backup first if you want to. Then do the AAHK. This will downgrade your phone (wiping) and then root it for you with one button (Easy Right?!)
Now, you need to turn your phone off compleatly, so take the battery out and back in again. Then you need to press the power button and the volume down at the same time. This will take you to the Bootloader screen, There should be some little android guys at the bottom of a white screen. Now you need to navigate using the volume rocker to something called recovery screen and press the power button to select it. In there you will need to find the backup and restore menu using the volume rocker to navigate again. And then you need to make a backup of your current ROM. This WILL take a while.
while that is happening you need to find a ROM. Its personal preference really but one that I use that is JellyBean is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202 (JellyTime) Very good ROM. Store that somewhere one your computer where it is easy to find.
When the backup is complete reboot your phone by the option in recovery.
You now need to transfer your ROM's zip file over to the phones SD card and rename it update. With the JB ROM you will also need to transfer the Gapps zip that should be on the same page as the ROM that I linked. When that has done then you need to reboot and go back into the recovery screen the same way as before.
When in recovery, you need to "wipe Data/Factory reset" and then just to be on the safe side "wipe cache partition" you then need to find the "apply update from SD card option and select it. This will now update to the JB ROM. When that has done navigate to the "install zip from SD card" option and install the Gapps zip. When that has done reboot and enjoy your shiny new ROM!
Enjoy!

You can use the guide in my signature to learn the basics, if you are not used to it. The rest is reading the manual and the Hack Kit site...:good:
If you need a backup of your current rom, you can unlock the bootloader, flash recovery, make a backup, relock and run the hack kit.
Thank you all.
But there is still problem there.:crying:
I had uninstalled htc sync and install the htc driver in AAHK, but still don't work.

The hack kit installs it the first you run it, so there is no need to install anything.

Is the driver installing succesfully? after installing and plugging the phone, you will see the device manager install the driver and will prompt "device is ready to be used".
If that is happening, then make sure that you are using the oem cable and that the usb port is 2.0 and not 3.0. Use a different usb port...that is merely a connectivity issue. Have you checked connectivity per le effen manual?
Yes, I did everything, but its still don't work. I don't know why.
I try to uninstall everything, then redo completely.

[SOLVED] Can't boot to recovery/Stucked in fastboot

Hello guys.. Hopefully someone can help me and I hope I didn't violate any rules of XDA...
Here's my problem.. I tried to reverse my HOX back to stock ROM and followede this tutorial of Hansoon2000 on how to reverse everything and go back to stock (part 3 of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069904 ) when I clicked relock bootloader it shows in command that there was no device found, I closed it then show that my phone already relocked (awesome!!) but my phone didn't reboot normally. It went fastboot mode (white background and three android at the bottom and shows on top RELOCKED).. at this point, I cant go anywhere, I can't boot to recovery, can't turn off. It seems stucked on fastboot...
Any suggestion guys?? Please help me.. My last option would to go HTC repair center and it will cost me a lot.
Ok so you need to download a recovery. (I recommend twrp)
Flash the recovery in fastboot. (White screen your on about, select "Fastboot USB".
Run the command fastboot flash recovery recoveryname.img
Replace recoveryname with whatever the file is called.
Then, reboot into fastboot and choose recovery.
If all goes well, TWRP/CWM should open.
Since the bootloader is already relocked, a better idea would be to run a RUU. Do
fastboot getvar version-main
Sent from my IceCold One X
He should unlock his phone again before he wants to flash the recovery.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Why do you want to do it the hard way ?
A RUU would be only one download and one double click...
Unlocking again and flashing a recovery and flashing a boot and flashing a stock ROM in recovery would be a pain in the ass and woild take longer !
Just sayin'
@OP
Do
fastboot getvar version-main

Hello guys.. Thank you for all the replies.. I really appreciate those feedbacks..
1. I already have RUU file saved on my computer.. It's .exe, may I know how will I run this file? Since my HOX didn't normally boot and I can't go to recovery mode..
2. I am still trying to download TWRP, for some reason it stucked on 99.9%, I think it's not my luck right now..
My question also about recovery, it shows that my HOX bootloader should be UNLOCKED.. Mine is already relocked, is this still possible?
Again, thank you for all the replies, I'm getting hopes here..
I was just responding to the post before ^^ running the ruu is definitely the better choice
