Enabling LTE?

I heard that LTE is software locked. So would it unlock that function if I flash a GSM gn2 rom on the tmo gn2?

No. That has been tried. There is supposed to be an ota in January expected to heat up the LTE chipset.

Good. Well that makes sense so perhaps they'll be in it. I really hope the OTA encompasses all features. I'm missing screen record and multi view options. Enabling LTE is fine but hopefully users can turn it on and off until their area has services working. Shouldn't we have some test results and leaks in YouTube of beta testers showing off their LTE-A network by now?

The rumor is that multi view will be rolled out at the same time. I know that the LTE retrofit had happened in my area. I have spoken with one of the Tmo certification techs and know one of the subs who is working on it.
As far as testing goes I doubt you will see videos of devices running on tmo LTE until later in the year.

MMS not sending after flashing Jedi X

anyone else have this issue and know of a fix?
it's very aggravating to say the least
Check your APN against what tmo thinks it should be.

Its not the apn settings, and as a matter of fact if I restart my phone the mms send upon reboot however none will send after those initially pending....gosms still can send mms....default and handcent cannot
Do you mean mms sending through wifi or in general through data?

It comes up icon not sending data thanks

You will need to provide more details if you want help.
What rom, version, tether method, plan, services (tmo buy up tethering) etc.
With the info you initially provided "turn on your tethering" is as valid for a reply as a completely technical explanation.

Rom
Using wifi tether app
Plane Unlimited 4g no cap

Looks like you are on the bone stock rom. That will not work for tethering.
Have you tried the process for replacing the apn settings then using an after market wifi tethering app? That will likely be your only chance.

Tethering 4.4

is there a way yet to get past the 4.4 tethering (no tethering plan) upsell yet? That's the one thing stopping me from going to 4.4

How are you getting undetected tether on 4.3? I'm using JediX2 and about 10 gigs in they blocked me.

you just use a user agent switcher.

I am on 4.3. I want to move to 4.4 since I don't need the Samsung features. but tethering doesn't work with using the user agent switcher. the up sell page pops up no matter what. I would use apps like pdanet etc, but they reduce the speed by so much

[Q] Tmobile firmware on ATT phone?

Is it possible to have the Tmobile firmware for Samsung Galaxy Note II installed on an ATT phone? If so, how?

Hopefully i get some good answers....I'm really hoping to hear "yes, this is how.....".
Just keep the I317 modem and bootloader. The firmware etc will do fine. For network compatibility you may need the AWS mod. Don't Odin anything for the T889 on the I317. Lots of people migrate from AT&T over to T-Mobile just fine.

thanks for your input.
I'm just trying to take advantage of some of the software functions from Tmobile specifically the call over WIFI function since my signal is horrible inside my house.
