Root???
Root doesn't work anymore on B117 or it's just me?
EDIT:
It works with EROOT
this rom use dload folder move to sd card and open update app "local update".. in this way no data/language and gapps loss..
Tried to update using the local update. The phone restarted, went to the update mode ... and then blank... frozen black. I just took my eyes off it 2 secs. Now it is writing yellow lines for update status, now it's gone.
Don't know whether I bricked it or not. But given the fact that I get not even a charging amber led when I connect the cable, it seems it's in "coma".
And since the battery is not removable I cannot do the tricks I used to do with my ol' DHD.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

There is always a brick risk rom update..If the screen opens previous version dload folder move to sd card (sd card remove and card reader with pc connect) and power+volumeup+volume down push force firmware update..
may be a solution..
With wifi stability, any improvement in battery ? I read one review of p6 that shows battery drain on internet is quite high compared to other phones. So perhaps it got something to do with these signal issues.

Hi !
I did today updated to version B117, and I had a big surprise : after update -> device with white screen :crying:
( can not put device in recovery , even on power off ; pressed 10 sec. on "power" or "power + volume down + volume up" - device only reboot on white screen ! )
Now waiting to be discharged the battery was nearly full - I hope to fix it on warranty My device is Huawei P6-U06 !
( This rom was flashed : P6-U06V100R001C17B117SP01 -> downloaded from here ! )
I "dirty" updated from b116 to b117 without any problems.
just lost root, but got it back with eroot

Did u try connecting usb and put it in huawei recovery mode?
It seems that the only solution to do anything in case of bricked devices might be to wait for the battery to get fully discharged and the phone to shut down by itself. Then charge it and afterwards trying to enter the recovery mode.
I've seen in my case that when the battery was low the red led blinked. When I connected the cable after several minutes the led just turned off by itself. It should have been amber to show a normal charging status. So, if the bricked phone did shut down, the led should be amber when charging. It's the only logical way to validate the off state and of course charging.
For the older phones, pulling the battery out did the trick, but in this case this is not possible. Therefore, just be careful with any update/ROM upgrade. The risk of having to go to service with issues and not being able to DIY it's a lot higher.
LE: In my case the screen was all black and no other trick worked. Not even connecting to the PC and trying to force any script with adb or fastboot.
WLAN about 2%

Hi,
first i have to say that i read a lot of unbrick guides but none of them solved the problem.
My defy is right now stuck on white led when connected to a pc and no reaction when not connected.
This just happened after flashing the retail de sbf. before flashing the screen was blurred and flickering.
Therefore i have no possibilty for wiping or resets
Sry if i forgot any relevant information.
Hopefully anyone will have a good advice.
Greats
Hi. It looks to me like a flat battery. Have you charged the battery before flashing?

Hi
I've encountered the same problem
The fw I flashed in this site: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_jordanplus/list.php (mine is Defy but the FW is for Defy+)
As you can see, there are some FWs with Unknown Carrier
I flashed one of them
When I flashed other FWs, the phone was stuck at boot screen (like you)
Here is the solution for my Defy:
- Unplug the phone
- Start RSD with your chosen FW (try your last run FW first)
- Plug the phone again
- If RSD detects your phone, your phone is alright. It just doesn't have the right FW
- Prepare a universal charger in case your Defy runs out of battery
- If you don't success with your last run FW, contact modder for solutions
Crossed fingers
The battary is ok cause i checked it on my dads Defy+
Even mr_5kools trick wont work cause i am not stuck at bootscreen. It does not even start up
Have you tried these threads:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1807899 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1767672&highlight=bootloader
I was changing my android version from 2.2.2 to ICS, and everything was fine until my battery died, i thought that it was a software problem and i did changed my system again using RSD Lite and i did bought a new battery.

The battery didnt die during the process, it just die an afternoon...
When i replace the battery it works fine for a while, until i used the RSD lite to change the Android version...
I cant remember exactly which SBF file i did used from the list, i think that could be the Claro Latin America´s file.

Actually i can change the android version using the RSD lite system...
But none work :S
It is just stuck in the bootloader screen
does the battery charge when turned off?
problem...
i dont know if this is being charged when is turned off, but the battery works fine, it is on during all the process with the RSD lite...
try to boot into boatloader modus ,
If it says battery low cannot program you know what's wrong
If your battery don't charge use McGiver trick ,other battery or else
If it don't boot after flash with rsd
Factory reset from stock recovery would solve your problem

I did flashed my defy with this sbf version:
DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B50AA009.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRIRD15_P015_A030_Service1FF.sbf

The sbf that i flashed was this one:
DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CN_SIGN_UCADEFYEMARAB1B50AA009.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNGIBRIRD15_P015_A030_Service1FF.sbf
you have flashed the worst sbf you could have. i am afraid to say that the phone is now in dire straights.
the battery fixes dont work for that bootloader on normal defy red lense phones. the only chance you may have is to read through my thread but ultimately it may not help so please do your own research before you come knocking down my door.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836958&page=2
i havent fixed the issue but i am able to use the phone but only if the battery is pre charged. no matter what i did or what battery fix i flashed i can not get the phone to either tell me how much charge is left or get it to charge the battery and sometimes i need he mcgyver trick to even get the phone boot.
basically i still havent properly tested it but i have an external battery pack on its way and will be able to confirm one way or the other tomorrow. if it goes as i hope then i will be able to charge the battery sing an external pack put the battery in the phone and use it until it runs dry. then i can charge the battery again using the battery pack and so on and so forth.
i am using white rabbit rom which has a cm7.2 base and is really very good. it also has four battery fixes you can download and there are a few more found dotted here there and everywhere on xda. you will have to search for them. all told i tried 6 and none have fixed the issue however you may have better luck than i did.
i have been told it is fixable but i didnt find one and have given up now. if the battery pack doesnt work then i am just gonna throw it in the drawer and buy another phone.
sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Seriously.!! Why you didn't read before doing anything. Full SBFs kills the option to revert back.
Now flash that SBF again, see if you can boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset.

Go into bootloader by pressing Power button and Vol+ button
Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable
Make sure everything is OK
Locate downloaded SBF. In popup dialog press Uncompress and start flashing
If you get " Please manually power up this phone " in RSD Lite pull battery out > put your battery back > reboot into stock recovery by holding Power button and Vol- button > Choose Wipe data/cache > Choose Reboot system now
That's it, you unbricked your Defy!

actually i did understand totally what you said and if you had read the thread i linked to you would have found the answer in there but no big deal because neo.ank has spelled it out for. do that and the phone will boot again.
the problem comes after you have got the phone flashed and running again and i guess in that respect you didnt understand what i wrote.
if when you get the sbf up and running can you please post back on this thread and let us know if the battery charges and is registered as being used... ie the percentage drops down after 2 hours of use from say 100 to 90 or whatever.
i am very keen to hear if your battery will work when you have the sbf flashed and running though so please do post back and confirm one way or the other. cheers and good luck.
THANKS!!!!

Hey guys,
I was running blueandroid custom rom on my p6 and it was all working fine. suddenly my phone shut down and since that moment i can't find a way to turn it on further then the huawei logo. pressing all three buttons for the forced update doesn't work. and i can't get in recovery. It simply doesn't make it till that point. sometimes it shows a random color (the whole screen) but most of the time it just shuts down at the huawei logo... i also tried fastboot but it doesn't get recognized...
could anyone help me?

Are you able to use adb?
If yes, try to flash twrp recovery via ADB.

It doesnt charge ( the led doesnt turn on and im pretty sure that doesnt) and i havent been able to try adb. Its also quite strange that it wont be in a stable recovery mode ( or fastboot mode) since it turn itself off after 10/20 seconds.
getting really lost
So guys,
i'm really starting to think i need to bring mine to the service center cus it's completely dead.
it won't charge, it doens't get into recovery mode, i can't flash the official firmware with the sdcart/dload/update.app way, i can't fastboot it cus it won't go in fastboot mode (the way it get stuck on the splash screen/huawei logo), and it shuts itself down after 20 seconds leaving nothing else then a black but brightened screen.....
i'm afraid i have to take full costs due my root and custom rom, if they can fix/see it at all.
it worked fine after all and shut down with no reason what makes me think this is a hardware problem.
does anyone else have any suggestions before i bring it to the service center?
thanks

But thats's ok, this is a common android problem, but some phone must be charged for al least two days, and after that try to flash another ROM. Even if the led is not always on, let it for a long time to charge, trust me, the power will be inside your battery, not full but enough to resist/handle a new ROM flashing.

Yea i know that... But it doesnt show the led when i charge it (so the led has nothing to do with the charging state of the phone), only in some cases when i try to boot into recovery. And the battery cant actually be totally empty, it was 40% when it totally crashed so i dont think thats the problem. And if so, it should at least get to the point where it is trying to flash the original firmware

So guys,
Im going to the service center in 8 hours since my phone is completely DEAD. It doest charge and it does not even react to the power button anymore... (Probably cus the battery is completely drained), it doesnt react to anything else either (usb, power net, anything) and will nog be able to fix by connecting it thru a computer. Aka its hopeless...
Thanks for the support
Ive been to the service center, got a new phone directly, so everything is solved. For the information, my problem was a (like i expected) hardware problem, and there was NO way to fix without replacing hardware.

Good news.
Hi,
My Note-II has some issues with the power button, most probably something with the power chip.
The Technicians say that repairing it might leave the phone useless.
I was OK with that as I was using a widget to put the phone to sleep and using some battery removal tweaks to start it if it was switched off.
The problem now is that my phone is still on 4.1.2 I am in Oman my friends having the same model and build got the update but I haven't received it yet so thought I would upgrade manually via Odin or maybe Root it.
Is there any way I could put the phone in Recovery Mode without using the power button????
Please suggest a work around.
TIA

Strange question lol...
If you are rooted you can use quick reboot app to boot into recovery...
Not an issue..
And prefer rooting and updating Cz official updates give you knox.. And thats what most of the people dont want...

Yes I know it's a strange situation.
No I'm not rooted.
I want to enter recovery to either root the phone or just update it.
But as the power button is messed up so I can't do any of the above by the normal method.
I need to know if there is any other method to enter the recovery...

@djgrubas
You need to use the NEWER ClockworkMod that is in the CM11 main/first post. Its actually an newer version than the one that's in the .exe and in the CWM thread.

If you installed the largest GAPPS package available for CM/AOK/SP this will happen. This ROM works just as well with the core 4.4.2/4 GAPPS as well and will give more space available.

Is there a way to flash the new recovery.IMG other than pushing via fastboot, ? And what do you mean by offline charging?

Yes there is an app called Rashr that can flash recoveries. And I think he means now the phone can charge while in recovery mode. Not sure though.

sudden death and no sign of anything
hello ,
i've bought the desire 816 2 months ago and i started using CM11 the unofficial 4.4.4 version two weeks ago
and from one week i started using mount2ext and moved everything but system apps , libraries and dalvic to the the sd card
everything was fine till this morning the alarm ranged ( i left the phone in the electricity the day before ) so i stopped it removed the phone from charging and went out for an hour while the phone is home . when i'm home the phone is dead. i can't power the device i tried the power bottom , power + vol up + vol down , power + vol down and nothing happened ! the screen won't even open. also i tried charging it and even the light of charging didn't light. the only place when the i knew it's somehow alive is when i connected the phone to pc and try to power it the pc says unknown device and also nothing happens.
any ideas ?
Iam getting force closes.... The message system ui has stopped working pops up and when I press ok it returns to the lock screen..... Does anybody else have this issue?

To hard reset/force power off the device it is volume up+power for 15 seconds. That'll get your device turned off and you can boot back up.

not RECEIVING mms messages
I can send mms messages but not receive them. Running the 10/18 build with xposed, but it didn't work before xposed either. Tried fiddling with apn settings but nothing fixed it. Thoughts/help/fixes?

You need to flash the APN fix, then the MMS fix.

Where can I find those?
So this ROM states it supports all models, but I had an issue. When I flashed the nightly zip, I get an error 7 saying it is not compatible with my model. It claims my model is htc_a5dug (my phone is the Virgin Mobile model) while it only supports plain a5_dug. Any ideas? Oh I'm running newest available CWM if that's any difference..

The Virgin Mobile model is a5chl. And I'm assuming it's because you didn't use the recovery in the OP. Try to use that recovery then flash it, however I recommend you just use the Official CM11 as it works with any recovery.
a little off topic here

First of all, wrong thread! But anyways, just hold volume up (or power down i forget) and power for ten second's till it reeboots. Or just wait till the battery dies...
