Hey guys,
I was running blueandroid custom rom on my p6 and it was all working fine. suddenly my phone shut down and since that moment i can't find a way to turn it on further then the huawei logo. pressing all three buttons for the forced update doesn't work. and i can't get in recovery. It simply doesn't make it till that point. sometimes it shows a random color (the whole screen) but most of the time it just shuts down at the huawei logo... i also tried fastboot but it doesn't get recognized...
could anyone help me?
i'd really aprecciate it.
Are you able to use adb?
If yes, try to flash twrp recovery via ADB.
Instructions in forum thread. (I think 2nd post)

Is your p6 low on battery? If it is, charge it up before trying to get to recovery.

It doesnt charge ( the led doesnt turn on and im pretty sure that doesnt) and i havent been able to try adb. Its also quite strange that it wont be in a stable recovery mode ( or fastboot mode) since it turn itself off after 10/20 seconds.
getting really lost
So guys,
i'm really starting to think i need to bring mine to the service center cus it's completely dead.
it won't charge, it doens't get into recovery mode, i can't flash the official firmware with the sdcart/dload/update.app way, i can't fastboot it cus it won't go in fastboot mode (the way it get stuck on the splash screen/huawei logo), and it shuts itself down after 20 seconds leaving nothing else then a black but brightened screen.....
i'm afraid i have to take full costs due my root and custom rom, if they can fix/see it at all.
it worked fine after all and shut down with no reason what makes me think this is a hardware problem.
does anyone else have any suggestions before i bring it to the service center?
thanks
Let it charge for 24 hours, see if you can turn it on after that.

But thats's ok, this is a common android problem, but some phone must be charged for al least two days, and after that try to flash another ROM. Even if the led is not always on, let it for a long time to charge, trust me, the power will be inside your battery, not full but enough to resist/handle a new ROM flashing.

Yea i know that... But it doesnt show the led when i charge it (so the led has nothing to do with the charging state of the phone), only in some cases when i try to boot into recovery. And the battery cant actually be totally empty, it was 40% when it totally crashed so i dont think thats the problem. And if so, it should at least get to the point where it is trying to flash the original firmware

Im trying to flash it thru the sdcard with the update.app in sdcart/dload/update.app but to do that, you have to put in a certain mode (by holding vol+ and vol- and the power button) . But once again, i cant put the phone in A state, doesnt matter which state. It just wont get in a stable mode. Thats why i cant use fastboot/adb

Bringing it back
So guys,
Im going to the service center in 8 hours since my phone is completely DEAD. It doest charge and it does not even react to the power button anymore... (Probably cus the battery is completely drained), it doesnt react to anything else either (usb, power net, anything) and will nog be able to fix by connecting it thru a computer. Aka its hopeless...
Thanks for the support
Ive been to the service center, got a new phone directly, so everything is solved. For the information, my problem was a (like i expected) hardware problem, and there was NO way to fix without replacing hardware.

Good news.

I just rooted my HTC Desire and installed CM7 on it (loved it on my HTC Legend). But suddenly today, after I turned Wifi on, it started rebooting all the time, couldn't do anything to stop it. I thought "Hey, there was the radio flash thing in the tutorial that I didn't do yet, I'll try that out" so I flashed the radio. Then I chose reboot system, but it just booted to a logo with an android coming out of a trash can, and looked kinda stuck there. So I took out the battery and plugged back in. Now if I try to turn it on, it'll just vibrate 7 times - no picture or anything. Also there's no LED when I plug it to the charger.
I had those 7 vibrates too.
Happened after i flashed the cm7 hboot over my stock hboot while trying to enter recovery. After i re-flashed my recovery using fastboot, everything worked again. What happens if you try to power up while holding down vol- ? Did you use fastboot or your phones recovery mode to install the radio?
I am not able to start in recovery or anything. I tried vol. down + power and back + power and no matter what I try, it just vibrates 7 times. I used the recovery mode to install the radio.
You could try to connect your phone via usb and check if fastboot discovers your device. If yes, flash hboot and recovery using fastboot. If not, well... i dont have a clue. Sorry :/
Computer discovers nothing when I plug in the phone.

For the record to help some of you out who ended up here Googling: I had a similar issue. My HTC Desire SV did not boot, and when charging, only had an orange flashing light, and the phone vibrated 7 times. I did 2 things that got it back up:
1) left the phone off for say 10 minutes (I read about overheating issues in general, although the phone did not feel hot).
2) removed the battery for a couple of minutes.
VERY IMPORTANT: for step 2: make sure to have the battery removed long enough to drain internal charge. I removed and installed the battery in a second or so at first, and still the phone did not boot. After leaving out the battery long enough, it booted again. It appears to me that the issue in my case was a rather big internal charge capacity which kept internal state (memory and/or CPU?) from booting. Hope this helps...
I just wanted to try the latest CM9 after locking bootloader for a return. It unlocked, flashed fine, rebooted a few times. I was going to relock it so I used "reboot to bootloader". It was charging, it shut down and never turned back on. Removing the battery didn't help either. When I connect it to the PC, it recognizes OMAP4400 but doesn't install any drivers. I don't see how it can be bricked as I just rebooted to bootloader. It's been charging for a few hours and I haven't touched it since. I'm going to try the USB Jig soon, any additional help would be greatly appreciated..
If you're unlucky, you've hard-bricked it, somehow...
Try pressing (Just) Volume down + power...
That also gets you into Oding mode...
If that don't work, then sorry... I wouldn't know any other solution. Try the jig, if you want, but it's not put, that it'll work.
Well, best of uck!!
Hope you fix it!
LG familyguy59
Jig doesn't work, volume down+power doesn't, fastboot doesn't. Anything I do to it, it still shows as OMAP4440 in device manager. Even without the battery in. It must be in some kind of special recovery mode, but how the hell does it work with no battery. I'll leave it without battery over night, it's charged for sure so that can't be the problem.
The phone will work plugged in without the battery in under normal conditions, and that it's showing up at all is a good sign.
Have you used fastboot before successfully? You may need to load drivers manually. This thread links a few different options you can try:

My guess is that if it is showing as OMAP, it is a sign that bootloader is not working at all, I've seen some topics of panda boards (that use the same processor) with the same symptons when bootloader was lost...
Yes I did use fast boot successfully before. I just don't see how it could corrupt the bootloader by simply restarting in it.. It doesn't make sense to me at all.

Well, I have this thought: You last used fastboot (With success), you maybe flashed a ROM, opr something.
You then restartet the phone, whilst it was still updating some internal files.
Maybe, if you did do that (willingly or not), you buggered the bootloader, like that...

It was not syncing or downloading anything, I've been using CM9 for about an hour before choosing reboot to bootloader. The only thing the phone was doing was charging.. I just don't understand how a simple command to reboot in bootloader can screw it up, it just doesn't make sense to me. It seems it's in a loop, Device Manager shows OMAP4440 refreshing about every second. It eventually disappears but if I plug it back in it does it again. I'm guessing the bootloader is gone

Well, it may be gone, but OMAP normally means, that there is no firmware present...

try to boot into boatloader modus ,
If it says battery low cannot program you know what's wrong
If your battery don't charge use McGiver trick ,other battery or else
If it don't boot after flash with rsd

i havent fixed the issue but i am able to use the phone but only if the battery is pre charged. no matter what i did or what battery fix i flashed i can not get the phone to either tell me how much charge is left or get it to charge the battery and sometimes i need he mcgyver trick to even get the phone boot.
basically i still havent properly tested it but i have an external battery pack on its way and will be able to confirm one way or the other tomorrow. if it goes as i hope then i will be able to charge the battery sing an external pack put the battery in the phone and use it until it runs dry. then i can charge the battery again using the battery pack and so on and so forth.
i am using white rabbit rom which has a cm7.2 base and is really very good. it also has four battery fixes you can download and there are a few more found dotted here there and everywhere on xda. you will have to search for them. all told i tried 6 and none have fixed the issue however you may have better luck than i did.
i have been told it is fixable but i didnt find one and have given up now. if the battery pack doesnt work then i am just gonna throw it in the drawer and buy another phone.

Now flash that SBF again, see if you can boot into recovery and wipe data/factory reset.

Connect your phone to your PC via USB cable
Make sure everything is OK
Locate downloaded SBF. In popup dialog press Uncompress and start flashing

actually i did understand totally what you said and if you had read the thread i linked to you would have found the answer in there but no big deal because neo.ank has spelled it out for. do that and the phone will boot again.
the problem comes after you have got the phone flashed and running again and i guess in that respect you didnt understand what i wrote.
if when you get the sbf up and running can you please post back on this thread and let us know if the battery charges and is registered as being used... ie the percentage drops down after 2 hours of use from say 100 to 90 or whatever.
i am very keen to hear if your battery will work when you have the sbf flashed and running though so please do post back and confirm one way or the other. cheers and good luck.

i already searched a lot, but i didn't find anything useful so i post here hoping that someone can help me. i really need my phone so before send it to htc service i have to try to get it back working.
simply yesterday my phone went off because of low battery. when i got back home i try to charge it, but nothing happened. so i tried using pc in order to see if something happen, and led started to blink slow (orange led). so i turned it on, and it worked. then i was using it (connected to the wall charger) and it frozed, at 9% battery. so i tried to restart it (by pressing power and vol down), but nothing happened... it was completely dead, i tried:
-wall-charger;
-pc-usb;
-change different charger/different usb cables);
-i left it the night connected to the charger);
-no adb, and obviously i can't get the phone in recovery/bootloader/fastboot...
i was on hboot 1.3x... don't remember which number cause i updated the hboot a few days ago. i was on viper rom and i was using the tripndroid kernel based on official nvidia sources (really like their works )
hoping that someone can help me
however in the next days i will send it back to htc but i need to try something cause i really need my phone in those days and i have no replacement. will htc repair my phone for free? (remember that i unlocked it)

That means your phone is broken. It needs a new motherboard.
Nobody has recovered from that. Some people have managed to get the phone working after APX, but it seems to go back to APX mode.
Sorry. Back to HTC it goes...
ok thanks... it is and hardware fault or it's because of the custom rom/kernel?

Hi I,m hoping someone can help me on here , I tried to root my phone a couple of weeks ago I successfully unlocked the bootloader but could not root for some reason, then i recieved a settings update from orange UK in the middle of the night , next morning the phone won't turn on at all not even to the boot screen , I sent it off to orange to be repaired and because I unlocked it they won;t repair it however they did manage to get to the boot screen but won't tell me how , they have returned the phone to me and its still the same, so any ideas what I can do now , thanks in advance
Try factory reset and see whether the phone boots up or not! if not then post the result of the following command here:
Code:
fastboot getvar version-main
You can do two things now: Go full stock or flash a custom ROM...

Hold down the power button + vol down button together until you get to the bootloader...(white screen with 3 android figures at the bottom)...
Keep it pressed together and make sure you didn't release any of the button...
If it still doesn't show up then connect it to your wall charger and let it charge for an hour or so and then try to do it!

So you mean to say that the phone is completely dead?
No LED, no screen, no vibration?? Connect it to your PC... does windows recognize the device??
Let the device charge fully .... keep it for 5-6 hours continuously...

hi yes its fully charged but nothing the led flashes for about a minute but no vibration , when you connect to windows it sees the phone and tries to load the driver "qhsusb_dload" but then says it won't install , so I'm at a loss

Hmm... So no screen response whatsoever?? Usually in such cases, charging the device fully with a wall charger fixes it...
If you are still under warranty, try sending it to HTC or your carrier...
Just try one last time to hold the power button and volume down button for as long as possible to see whether bootloader shows up or not

That's great news! If your phone can get into bootloader, you can might be able to go to fastboot USB.. which means you can flash a recovery and hence flash a custom rom or go full stock!
