rom help

i have put the file into intenal storage ready t flash , so when i do a hard reset the what do i do next , do i press vol up? , or vol down ? , really tried both and still have same rom??

i have copied DIAMIMG.nbh to internal storage , held down vol enter rese , what do i choose , do i press vol up? or down?
what is a different way of installing a rom and how

Rename ..NBH file to DIAMIMG.nbh
Copy to Internal Storage
Soft Reset + Hold volume down button + back button <----
After i do the last step , i get to a screen like 3 colours , but then when a loading screen comes up how long is it meant to be there
because i get a screen saying loading and that screen never seems to move and it seems like phone i s stuck on that screen?
anyhelp pleaseeeeeeeee?

Often explained,
1. HardSPL your device !
2. Place DIAMIMG.nbh on internal storage root
3. PRESS volume down AND <- button while you do softreset
4. Hold them pressed until it says ... do you want to flash (then follow on screen) mine says press power (the button on top of my diam) to flash
...... so i do and successfull flash

Have you got a Hard SPL installed?
this has to be done using a USB cable and Active sync FIRST!

if you have done Hard SPL correctly then the following procedure will work:
Rename ..NBH file to DIAMIMG.nbh
Copy to Internal Storage
Soft Reset + Hold volume down button + back button <----
then it will check the .nbh file and ur phone
then if it is all ok prompts you to press the power button (one on top the phone) to start flash process
once this is done, it says "Complete" and you can just do a soft reset. (often recommended to do a Hard Reset after a flash)

Phone Stuck On SPL and IPL mode

Hi all,
I have a HTC P3300 phone, it was freezing, soi decided to do a hard reset, by pressing the two button and the pwr button - i get the screen where i can see the screen stating that the Phone wil be reset to the manufactures default, and whn i press the send button - there is an error " format Failed" and then the phone boots and i see a gree bar'd line with the :SPL" and the "IPL" numbers displayed on the screen , and then the phone switches off , the phone when plugged into a pwr socket has the charging light "orange" that comes on/off at intervals, i have tried to flash the phone using the flash utility but no luck, i have also tried to press the Rest button with the camera button "still no luck"
- I have tried to replace the phones battery - still nogo,
cold sme one help me on this in a step by step procedure ( and the links if i have to download any file)

ROM upgrade failed !!!

Hi everybody,
I look through the threads and I couldn't find a solution to my troubles. So here it is: I just bought a htc touch pro 2 which came with a window mobile 6.1. Before I transferred anything from my old phone, I thought better to do the official upgrade to 6.5 ROM version 1.86.401.0.
I wanted to flash the ROM through a USB cable as described on the HTC site, but after after having done 22% of the work, everything got stuck. And 5' minutes afterward the update windows on the PC disappeared and I had to disconnect the phone!!!
So now I have a beatiful telephone, which cannot boot up. Indeed, it gets stuck in the 4 colors bootloader.
i) I tried to do a factory reset (pressing power, send hang up buttons) to no avail.
ii) I tried to take out the batteries and pull them in again, then switching on the phone holding down the vol down + power up buttons, then reset.
iii) reconnecting the phone back to the PC by usb, I was never able to get a switch from "serial" to "usb"
Nothing is working, if anybody has an idea what I could try next.... I am wondering if it is possible to flash the phone from the SD card. I am really a newbie here.

*Go into BootLoader Mode (do a Soft Reset while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. Keep holding the "volume down" key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it)
Flashing Via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do)
2. Download your prefered Rom from the Rhodium Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your PC
3. Goto the Roms Folder and rename the .nbh file to RHODIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RHODIMG.nbh file to the root of your MicroSD Card
5. Plug the MicroSD Card into the phone
6. Enter the BootLoader screen, you will first see a tri-color screen with the phone and SPL Information at the top
7. Follow the On Screen instructions to start the update
8. After flash has completed, press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

Thanks for your help and the link to the thread!! I will use your approach next time. Indeed, in the day afterwards I was able to finally flash the phone from the same PC. I did the manipulation, which failed miserably, with a 64 bit Windows 7 RC. Then, I realised I had another version of W7 on the same PC, a 32 bit version this time. Thus, when I tried it with my dying telephone, the "serial" message on its screen switched "magically" to "usb" and I finally could flash the damned mobile! Frankly, I don't know what's wrong with my 64bit W7 if anything.

i tried this option but didn't work, is there any help, the phone can't come up again

Did you try the stock rom from HTC loaded over the usb first?
Information about what unlocker you tried to use, what kind of phone you have, what kind of rom you tried to load would be helpful.

Ok. Try to pull your battery out for some minutes. If this isn't working i think the only solution is the way to the service. This can be solved with jtag. I had simillar problem with a friend's galaxy mini and going to service was the only solution.

try this from your computer:
1. Prepare official firmware files for your phone
2. Open Odin and put all the files on it as on this thread but do it only till step 6..
3. Remove battery, sim card, and micro sd from your phone
4. Connect your phone to your computer by USB
5. Press the downloading mode buttons (Volume down + Home + Power)
6. Release home button and insert the battery..but never release the volume down and power button.
7. your phone should be now enter "downloading mode" and you can release volume down and power button.
8. press start on Odin and your phone should be flasing
9. Your phone should be back alive again.

[Q] HTC 8S wont boot and flashing

HTC 8S dont turn on and someone posted that issue 2 years ago.
I followed this video youtube.com/watch?v=gjtTK2TcnyE with RUU_ACCORD_U_APO_00_HTC_Europe_2.00
1. Copy UEFI_signed.nbh to sdcard
2. Rename UEFI_signed.nbh to RIOUDIAG.nbh
3. Turn the phone off and put sdcard into the phone
4. While holding Volume down + camera buttons press power button
Still got the screen of the bar code, it does not install the RIOUDIAG.nbh file like the video, it goes directly to the bar code
so i try this step with RUU_ACCORD_U_APO_00_HTC_Europe_2.00:
I Turn off my phone completely.
I Hold Power to turn it on, and quicly press volume + and volume - at the same time to enter bar code screen
I Connect my device to PC, the “serial” text changed to “USB”
I Run the ROMUpdateUtility.exe on PC
The phone is detected and it starts to load files
on the computer there is 1%, on the phone there is 1%
but the phone turns off and I get the following message on the computer
” ERROR 296, UPGRADE ONLY, This NBF fil cannot be used for your PHONE, please get newer file.”
same result with RUU_RIO_U_APO_00_HTC_Europe_1.04
Now I followed the same video with RUU_RIO_U_APO_00_HTC_Europe_1.04

the screen is dead, when i press power button ,the phone vibrate but i have always black screen
when i plug the phone to the PC , the phone is detected like a hard disk 2GB
