Hi everyone...
Coffee? croissants? (here in France it's time to).
Before I put my order for the tablet at Google's I wanna know one or 2 things ...
About the 3G H+ : DC 42 Mbps like the Nexus 4 or 21 Mbps ?
About the 4G LTE : class 3 (DL 100 Mbps / UL 50 Mbps) or 4 (DL 150 Mbps / UL 50 Mbps) terminal ?
According to the answers to these questions I will select my service provider.

I'm on the Telecom NZ network with the Vogue.. when I download SPB Monitor GPRS(monitors CDMA as well) tells me I'm downloading at 700Kb/s does this mean Rev A.
With internet sharing on (USB>Touch>Internet) IE said I was downloading at 50KB/s, its been higher too
What speed does the older one do?
The Touch is not (as of yet) Rev A enabled, so no, you are not running on Rev A.
When it is enabled, you will see download speeds ranging anywhere from your current speeds (300-1000 kbps) up to a max of around 2 mbps.
Uploads should also increase from around 100 kbps to an average of about 300 kbps, although some see uploads as high as 6-700 on occasion.
My best speed tests on my Mogul (which is Rev A enabled) gave me about 2.2 mbps down, and 550 kbps up. I can average about 1 mbps down and 300 kbps up everywhere I go. Hopefully the Touch gets GPS and Rev A soon, but there is no official date set.
So what kind of download speeds are you getting? I'm sad to report my iPhone 3GS downloads faster than this phone where I live. This thread is my hope to reach out to the world and see that the phones can download faster than 1.5 mbps.
Thank you all!
Uh yeah,
I'm not in a 4G LTE area, but my "4G" HSPA+ speeds are depressing too, but not quite that bad.
I'm at 3mb down and 1mb up, which is still a joke for a 21.1mbps HSPA+ device.

It's weird, my SGII Skyrocket got around 20mbps and this phone only gets 3-4. I think AT&T does funny things with the data profiles.

is that ok?
22.69 down/ 4.98 up - LTE Houston, TX
Depends.... at my job in the Financial District in NYC I get ~15mbps down/4 up on LTE.
At my apartment in Brooklyn, I get ~21mbps down/6 up.
Go fig.
So why is it I used to get 20MBPS with my GSII but with this phone I'm lucky to get 4? Should I factory reset?
What average speeds are you getting on:

My sig shows what I got on 3g at home in Ireland.
For edge I don't know, but for Rogers around the Toronto area mine's about 3Mbps/1Mbps.
About 5Mbps on ATT.

Copying files across wifi, SMB fileshare. Note 3 - 3-5MB/sec (yes, MB, not Mbit). Note 7 - 500-700KB/sec. Both show similar wifi connection rates at 144 Mbit/sec.
Anyone else seeing crappy throughput on wifi?
No, mine is not that bad. I just did a speedtest.net on a 100 Megabit down 10 megabit up connection and got 50 megabits down (best the router will do in all honesty) and the full 10 megabits up. That roughly translates to 5 Megs a second down and 1 Up. I have read others complain about the speed though.
What app are you using to measure the speed?
I've got cox, pay for the premier package and its supposed to max out at 150mbps download and I believe 10mbps upload. Early mornings (2am or so) I see speeds on my 5ghz network (using an Arris SB 6141 DOCSIS 3.0 Modem and a ASUS RT-68P AC 1900 Wireless Router) well into the 190mbps range on my Note 7, highest I've had so far is 193mbps download. I consistently hit 10mbps upload but when it first starts out it pulls into the 25mbps range and slows down to the 10-13 mbps range upload.

Yeah lol the upload is nothing exciting, it's nice to see it jump into the 20+mbps range for about 10 seconds or so then throttle down around 10-13mbps. But I'm happy hitting over 150mbps later at night. But my Note 7 has been just as fast, if not slightly faster than my Note 4 was with throughput.
I never achieved this speed with my iPhone 6s plus and Note 5
I hit it at my house the other day. I was like.... DAYUM!
Great, you can easy watch poo.... umh winnie pooh? Over 5 MBps via LTE and 10 MBps via WiFi provide that, what we can use (if the most usage is download or watching 1080p movies)
