Been using the P6 on official B106 firmware from 02 UK, I updated via local update after downloading the official B111 and find my signal is so much weaker, If I have signal its mostly on G with 1 or 2 bars then when I do get H, H+ or 3G I get one bar or a red X and it switches between the 3 and It makes using the phone annoying, Any help? I've tried b114 as well with the same issue, Or does anyone have a download link for B106 or B107? Thank you
(Only posted in this section as it wouldn't allow me in the others)

Make sure to send your feedback to Huawei. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2440424

Can indeed confirm that it works well with b111 and Sonera. Factory reset wont hurt if you still have problems.
I'm having annoying issues with signal too. I've noticed that the antenna must be built into the bottom part of the phone (the curved plastic piece just under the 'Huawei' logo). If you cover that up you can see the signal drop off drastically, a la iphone4. When I'm holding the phone normally, I have it sitting in my hand so that the whole back part of the plastic is in my hand, covered. I now have to hold it by the sides so that the signal doesn't suffer.
There's also other stranger issues with the signal though, my phone automatically goes to airplane mode on a night, then at 6am airplane mode turns off and the phone is as normal. However, when I pick the phone up at, say, 06:30 I press the power button to turn the screen on and I notice that there is no signal,,just for a moment, and then I get a few bars. Almost as if the screen is just refreshing. But, when I go to the battery screen, I can see that the signal line is red since it came on at 6am. As soon as I unlock the phone I get a fine signal. This is really annoying! There is definitely an issue with the firmware (I'm on B111 but had the same issue with B107). I know it's nothing to do with my carrier, as I don't have the issue when I put the sim in my Galaxy S4. I really want to keep the P6 but this signal issue is spoiling the phone!

Im not sure if this mobile got any timer for profile changes cause that seems to be whats happening with your device. Either there is, or some app you installed does it.
As for the wifi getting turned off on screen off, that's a battery saving feature. You can change by going to wifi settings -> "Keep wifi on during sleep" option to "Always". If that doesn't work, try going to power manager and switching it to "normal" rather than the default setting of "smart".

OK, I'll try that later when I get my SD card work fist... I'll report did the update help or not.
Sorry about the off-topic, but once again I have problems with updating P6. 2 different SD-cards and always same result: "Huawei SD-card update fail... FAIL"
(dload folder with UPDATE.APP in it) tried normal update and forced update. So I cant tell would update from B107 to B111 fix the signal issue....

Make sure you disconnected the mobile from PC once you have transferred the file. Update doesn't work when connected.

No, I'm not talking about the wifi signal here, I'm talking about the cellular signal. I have no problems with the wifi. I'll post a pic of my battery status page later where you will see the cellular signal is red from 06:00 until 06:30 when I turn the screen on.
By the way, the timer software im using is "my profiles".

Have you forced the phone to use 3g only? Night profile turns data off, i think it goes to 2g as it saves battery, but if forced to 3g it might go off network completely.
I also experience intermittent cellular signal lost on my B111 version. I hope this will be addressed in the later version.

I too have been having week cellular signal issues. I am in Thailand on AIS network. I could make calls but no internet connection. Switching to airplane mode for 5 seconds then back to normal would fix the problem for a short time.
My P6 would cycle between 3g and H+, about 2 seconds on each. I tried B106, B107, B111 and B114 with the same result.
Finally I have updated to blue android ROM and the problem seems to have gone away. Everyone with signal issues should give it a try.
Hi
Well one of my friend has also updated the ROM of his P6 to B111 and yes in the beginning phase after updating , the problem of low signal stops..but later on after some days it started happening again..so still I wont say I have come to know an exact solution over this problem.....
perform a factory reset guys and it will solve this issue :good:

First of all, a battery pull fixes the issue
What i am trying to figure out if what causes the bug and whether other people are having the same issue
As you can see from both images, there is no cell signal but WIFI is on but somehow the phone thinks airplane mode has been turned on
This is the 3rd time is past few days and i have missed loads of calls as a result.
From what i can see from my apps, there is nothing that should be causing the issue.
Also, there doesn't seem to a root cause, It has happened while i was charging the phone and while the phone had been on constant use
Any ideas?

I'm usually in low signal areas and when I move into an area where I know there is signal, it sometimes takes the device 30-60 seconds to recognize there is a signal.
This makes me think the radio polling interval is set fairly slow, perhaps in an attempt to save battery life.
I've used the airplane mode to toggle the radio and "wake it up" quicker than waiting the 60 seconds for the radio/phone to recognize the signal.
By any chance, are you in or around a low signal area when this occurs? I wonder if our two experiences might be related.
Just a thought. Have you flashed a different radio at all? Maybe its crashing?
Not that this helps you, but the one thing I noticed from your pics is they spelled "aeroplane mode" wrong... lol
Why is your Android Build #?
I had this happen once before, but it was before I upgraded.. so not sure if that is related or was just a coincidence that it has worked fine the times I used it after updating.

I have had a similar issue, except that I am able to enable connection again by selecting to turn airplane mode off. I sometimes have to do this 2 times, but the phone does not freeze during this process. I have not been able to determine a cause as it happens in use and idle. This happened using stock 2.3.4 Samsung ROM (with being rooted) and with a recent flash to VillainROM 2.5. Through that I would assume it is deeply embedded bug that is being carried over with ROM's or, perhaps more likely, one of the apps I got is causing this.

well, my nexus experience just keeps getting weirder. the phone just restarted itself and hasn't gone past the google logo. it restarts (hear it vibrate) at that point and wont go past that screen. no idea what could have caused it as phone was right next to me and i wasn't using it
past the point of caring to be honest. i will try a factory reset when i get home tonight
I haven't had this issue since I flashed a new build of the stock rom, here:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/349407-odin-firmware-i9250xwkk9-itl41f-newest-build/
I've been using it for the past 8 hours and have had a consistent 4-5 bars. It's supposed to be a later build of the ITL41F firmware.
Unforturnately, it's got compatibility issues with most of the mods. If you flash mods on top of this, you'll lose the the status bar and the 3 buttons.
Will continue to monitor and update.
I can confirm that the problem happens to me on a completely stock phone - no apps installed (just the ones included with the system), no root, no tampering whatsoever. It has to be a Android 4.0 and/or SGN problem.
Here another victim of the sudden loss of signal. Toggling airplane mode on and off does solve the problem, but what worries me is that I am incommunicado in the period just prior to the moment I discover that the signal is lost.

similar thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20816554
I also recently encountered this issue. My phone was working fine while rooted and bootloader unlocked until today. Usually when I wake up, I check my email and I'm usually on 3G because I don't get 4G at home. Gmail had not refreshed, couldn't get on browser, had to reboot. I left my phone alone for about two hours or so, turned it on to check email and again, no signal in a place I typically get 4G. Had to reboot again to get signal. It doesn't look like my phone is going into airplane mode like some people are reporting as I don't see an airplane icon or notification.
I have not tried toggling airplane mode yet to get signal back. My phone does not run custom roms or themes, only has some root apps. I have the Verizon version.

yeah im use to format...I had original focus with the sd card fiasco!!!
Hmmm, its updating my phone too. I'm skeptical to why, unless the "Green Dot" fixed phones were missing some of the fixes Nokia intended.
After the update, my phone now get no signal what so ever. Reboot, get the signal back. But after one phone call, no signal again. The update seems to make it worse.
wow nokia is fast at updating

I just want to know if any of you noticed that after the update that the screen color has changed in low light. I noticed that my keyboard is now a warmer color, like purpleish when brightness is set to low and if it is set to medium or high it is gray. It is bothering me because when brightness is set to auto and when i'm browsing the web I notice the color change from purple to gray when the automatic brightness changes from low to medium.
I know for sure my phone was gray on low, medium and High before I had it replaced for a mic issue. The new phone I got already had the updated software installed. I was just wondering if the new phone I got has a defective screen.
Hey guys!
I'm having a tricky problem right now... i hope it's no hardware fault
I am losing my connection to my network provider as soon as the screen goes off.
I noticed it when starting a call a couple of hours ago. I had full bars and as soon as i put the phone against my ear i lost my connection --> all bars down and grey.
The weird thing is, i can call somebody no problem as long as i dont let the proximity sensor let the screen turn off. This is the same case with mobile internet. As long as the screen is on ---> no problems. Screen Off --> Signal lost
I am on an ICS Rom (AOKP build 38) and had no problems with this rom for about a week. Just changed the Rom and noticed the problem and reverted back to my backup which was supposed to still be running fine.
I even reflashed the newest radio... still losing signal
Please tell me, i'm overlooking something and this is no hardware fault from me flashing...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: Wow... problem solved. Flashed back to the rom that brought the problem (Elitemod). And now everything works again. Weird...
Hi. I have same problem. I flashed CM7 7.2 and it looses signal and mobile internet always when turn screen off. And it comes back right when screen turns on. WTF.. @_o. So that means at nobody can´t call me. ****.

Same thing here- wifi disconnects after while, when phone is standby...No matter of power profile or wifi settings- sooner or later it turns wifi off. Can't use therefore "Profile Flow" wifi based features ( turn BT off, when at home wifi). I keeps turning BT on/off in some period of time, I can see it in Profile Flow history...As soon as I take the phone and unlock the screen, the BT is on again, then wifi connects and BT goes off...
It happens to my phone too.. I guess you can't fix it unless there is some app that can fix this but my guess is that its saving battery life on our android phones..

Isn't this an Android problem, instead of Huawei's?
WiFi disconnection during deep sleep is an Android problem, since God knows when.
That's why there are apps (such as REGPON wifi KeepAlive) out there to ping websites to "warm" the connection, at the expense of battery.
I programmed a macro using E-Robot to do this. My connection never drops. Mine is B111.

How do you install firmware B132 ? I have tried all possible ways to keep wifi always on but it does not work. It will be my first and last huawei. They put money in advertisement. the phone even does not work with screen off.
I recently got my Fold3 and I'm loving it except for one really annoying issue: my wifi keeps turning off, 90% of the time I turn on my phone the wifi is turned off.
I have already tried disabling turn on wifi automatically and the wifi power savin mode, I have also reset the network settings and it still does it.
A couple of times today while I was trying to fix the issue I would go, turn on the wifi, then start looking at the menus just to realize that the wifi turned itself off within 10-20 seconds of me turning it on.
I have searched but apparently there is no previous threads about this.
Thanks
Vinny
This problem is very similar to the "bluetooth issue" that some users are having
Have you tried to keep your phone closed and see if wifi goes off too ?
Or is this only happening when you unfold it ?
Does it happen when you're on every Wi-Fi network or only your home network?

Maybe you should consider doing a factory reset .
Not ideal , as you will have to set it up all again , but... best way to know if its a hardware or software issue
use Nice Catch to see what is changing the settings on your phone.

That rules out a network issue then.
