Hello and Thank you for any help you all may have.
I have a T-MObile S III rooted, stock with 4.1.1 Kernel 3.0.31. I'am able to place and recive calls with WiFi Calling on however after about 2 minutes the calls start to break up be do not drop. If I call over the network I have no issues, it is just with WiFI calling. I have wiped Cech and reset to factory but it is still happening. Please help!!! Thank you!

Connection doesn't seem to be the problem. My GF has the same phone and no problems. I have also confirmed the connection breaks up on 2 other wifi networks. All 3 are home networks. I'm going to unroot and see if that helps.

It won't. I can only recommend trying 4.1.2.
I'm going to have to go with Aerowinder on this one.
I had problems with 4.1.1 call quality on every ROM I used a custom kernel on. When I hit 4.1.2 all of the call quality problems just disappeared out of thin air. You could also update your bootloader with the MD5 firmware script (search for it) and flash a different modem like MD5.
And once you update if you're looking for a problem free kernel, I'd try the newest stock kernel from AT&T, MG2.

Recently I've noticed my wifi doesn't connect to any of my normal networks. When I check my wireless setttings, it'll say "connecting" but not to any specific network. Then just says disconnected. Finally, it'll say out of range for all my networks. I haven't done anything major with my phone, just small things like downloaded GO Launcher and played with icons and themes. Any ideas on what I can try or what it might be? Thanks.

I'm currently using the Tiamat-sbc kernel. But I'm pretty sure I haven't touched that kernel because it was working fine a while back. As for the router, it can't be a router problem. I have issues connecting to other networks as well. Should I clear my delvik cache?

I am having this very same problem. For the longest time I was sharing my internet connection from my iMac(mac acts as hot spot). But recently purchased a real wireless router. The problem is my phone connects for awhile then it quits working, it shows its still connected. But doesn't work. I am running Cyanogen mod 7 nightly latest with stock kernel. Anyone have a fix for this? I am thinking about re-flashing the radios.
Thank You
How soon does it disconnect immediately, screen off, after 5 mins, we need details in order to assist you

It is random. I could be browsing the internet and click on a link and it just sits there. Other times I could use it upwards of an hour without problems.
On the same network??? Sorry I'm just trying to help and get a gauge of the issue

The first wifi network I had it on was just my iMac acting as a hot spot and it had the problem. My new network has the same problem:
the iMac hot spot was an open network no security. The new network is WPA/WPA2 PSK.
Wired Router Cisco RVS4000
Wireless Router Cisco WRVS4400N
Modem Motorola SB6120 (same modem as last network)
I connect my phone to the wireless and open a page up it may or may not open it is completely random. My dads Nexus S 4G has no problems nor does his Kindle Fire.
please give me any details of what you need so that you can help me?
Thank You so very much for your assistance
Well I would recommend a full clean wipe everything except sdcard 3x put on a new Rom then let it settle but since I can't recreate the issue hard to say mayhaps a radio issue have you updated recently if so downgrade back to working radios

I had the same problem when I would use the CM7 nightly builds. My WIFI would work, all of a sudden, it just won't connect to any network. THEN...out of no where, it connects...a couple days later...The only way to fix is to use a stable build lol...I just remembered...try enabling airplane mode and then disable it again...

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note II - AT&T version.
I flashed Jedi X-9's rom and noticed I couldn't connect to the Play Store nor the Internet.
I wasn't able to send SMS but could call and receive calls.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005141
I then flashed the atti317ucalj2modemfixed, rebooted - same thing.

Is anyone else having this issue?
Please let me know!
Thanks,
- J.
I had the same issue. Try flashing over to the k7 modem. Its seems pretty good for alot of users. I prefered the j2 that cam with it because its seems more stable for me.

Is that what you did, was switch to the K7 modem?
Thanks!
Yeah. I actually backed up when i had the j2 and flashed the k7. For me, it wasnt too stable so i went back to the j2. But maybe you might have better luck with the k7 depending on where you live.

Awesome, I'm flashing it now. - I'll let you know how it is.
EDIT: No Dice. the k7 did not work. :*(
Also, it seems the Jedi X-9 rom doesn't like my SanDisk 64gig class 10 card.. doesn't read, nor mount
have you confirmed you APN settings are entered correctly? these settings allow you to connect to data, SMS, MMS, etc. i'd also confirm your IMEI is still present.

I don't think I had to configure any APN settings. I did connect to my local router.
I see an IMEI preset, dBm, signal strength.
I'm thinking of just trying a new rom.

Connecting to your router has nothing to do with your APN. (If that's what you were inferring). Did you at least confirm your APN settings are there? With some ROMs you might have to manually add them.

So first off, im running The Devil's Reject v6 with a cwm touch 6.0.2.3(?)
and i flashed over the intergalactic v2.5 kernel, soon after that my messages werent going through so i thought it was just the kernel that didnt wanna work with my phone, so i flashed the intergalactic 2.6 and same issues, i could connect to wifi and i have one to two signal bars but the 4g or 4g lte never came up. i then flashed the stock kernel that the TDRv6 was originally running and the issue was still the same. no service but wifi connection and signal bars. later on after some research i learned that i had lost my imei number. i was able to recover it but still the service never came back..
Please any help would be great!

Sounds dumb but verify that your imei came back and is the same as behind the battery.
Check to make sure your APN settings are set up correctly.
There has been instances where no data after restoring imei, there is a thread dedicated to it. Simple search will help you.

Yeah I did the restore imei thread and the number was good but then the service was still bad. Like it would go to G and then drop. I couldn't do anything on network. But I found this thread and it worked amazingly.

Do you have lte in your area? My area just got lte this weekend. And when the change was made, I did not have data service until changed back to the pta apn. I thought it may have been the rom. But it wasn't.

Yeah I have lte in my area. Ive had it for a while but it wasnt that, I had just flashed something and somehow in the process I lost my imei number which didn't allow me to do anything under the network. Idk if it was an issue with the recovery or with the zip file but I got it all worked out, thanks.

Can you give us some info? Is your device stock? Is it rooted? What Android version are you running and are you on a custom rom? If you can, post a picture of your About Phone page so we can see versions and firmwares please
With those questions answered we can take a look and see why you're not receiving your calls. There are a few reasons this could be happening, ranging from data toggles to APN settings. Without knowing what I'm working with, I can only speculate. When noticing these missed calls are you on a particular data network? 4G LTE through AT&T will momentarily disconnect and run on 3g while a call is implemented, then return to LTE 2-3 seconds after the call has ended. Maybe you have an option to prefer LTE and it's not disconnecting the data to allow the call? This may only occur on a custom rom though. Check your APN settings under APN type and make sure things like default, supl, mms are there.
If you're on a stock rom with stock recovery, you may want to consider backing up your data and performing a factory reset. This may not help at all though.
If you know what you're doing, and have root on a custom rom, then chances are you know how to flash a new radio (modem) and may want to research ones available to you and try flashing one of those. (NOTE: Be sure you know what you're doing before flashing anything, and remember to flash a radio (modem) twice for good measure. - MAKE SURE the modem is compatible with your phone model and your rom.
Mine does this every now and then. I assumed it is a network thing, but it may not be.

That is when it happened the first time for me also...and for a few days got 2 different stories. It started up again yesterday, I thought that I would post on here about it. I have come to a pretty safe conclusion that people on here know more about these phones than the people at Sprint. And I am thinking it is a network issue again...it has been ringing like it should this afternoon.
Area code 336? That's in NC, and where I live. Seven of my coworkers have switched from Sprint due to issues with the network. It is a local issue here though, and in Sprint's defense, they are trying hard to fix the issues. (I'm not knocking anyone or any carrier
If we are sure this is a network issue, it may be best to contact Sprint and ask if they have had others complaining about the same problem.

I tried, nothing that is close. most are "reset to factory" solutions
Im thinking of installing a different rom that may work, suggestions?
I don't like to suggest roms.... I say try them all. Lol Everyone has different needs and tastes.... So it's pointless to give my opinion.
But yes... Flashing a new rom should fix it. Just make sure to read the opening post for instructions.... Carefully. Reading through the last however many pages of the thread is always a smart idea also. You'll find out about bugs and stuff, and see what folks at saying about it.
