Headphones keep disconnecting - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi guys since yesterday afternoon for some reason my headphones or even my headset keeps disconnecting automatically. If I insert them they will work for a few seconds and then itll stop. If I place it in a certain position it stays connected but if it moves just the slightest it cut off again.
I looked at the connections inside the jack port and it seems fine.
When the problem started I was on stock .211 firmware rooted locked bootloader. I then updated to .96 firmware hoping it would.fix the problem. But it didnt.

It is phisycal problem, conector inside is damaged.
I got the same problem, and that why i will sell this and buy some newer phone.

I dont understand how that could happen because this was a replacement phone about two months ago as my other one was damaged. And there has been no physical damage to the phone.

Don't know mate, i listen to music a lot with headset and On speaker.
My jack input have been damaged somehow, external speakers, headset, any kind of external speakers conected to my Sxs must be holded tight or it gets disconected.
Sorry mate, faulty unit like my. :-/

Apple Earpods Not Working with My Xperia Play

For some odd reason, whenever I plug my Apple Earpods into my Xperia Play I get a notification telling me that the accessory is not supported. However, if I hold down the middle button on the Earpod's mic not only on does the phone recognize them, but they work fine. The catch is, if I stop holding down the button, the audio becomes much more quite. Worse, is the fact that there is a constant beating sound coming from the Earpods when no audio is playing.
Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Is there maybe an setting in the phone that I can tweak to make them work. Also, keep in mind that my other headphones work fine, it's just that the Earpods are much better, and I'd like to get them working.
Had the Holding down issue on my old Satio, and Im afraid it is possibly either down to a hardware issue or the fact that Sony decided to f* the 3.5mm jack as Im sure that only a few and selected headphones with Microphones will work bar the ones that Sony decides to rip of people like me.. I've managed to order a set of livesounds' for this reason..
My apple earphones dont work for my xperia play. Solution: get another set of ear phones.
I may have found a fix for this. Apparently this adapter should fix the problem.

I had the same problem with my old MP3 player, where the connection from the 3,5mm socket to the board was defect, I fixed it with soldering the connection.
Im not sure if your problem is also caused by a defect connection to the board, but a suggestion is better then nothing

I assume your headphone jack is going bad. Mine is doing the same thing. If I twist the headphones just a little they flicker and come in fine. It's super annoying.

It could also be the ROM you're using if it's Cm based. I had a problem with this once. My work around was simply just to use a different release of that ROM.

Have you tried cleaning the headphone jack? That can get dirty real fast. There are several how-tos around the Internet.

Broken speaker

Hello everybody!
I have a problem with my gf's desire z.
Edverything was working fine, but about 2 weeks ago front speaker stopped working.
Headset and back speakers are fine during call.
I have reflashed radio and rom to be sure that it's not software related and disassembled the thing and cleaned speakers contact pins.
My question is if it is a way to tell for sure if only speaker is broken and replacing it would help, or if it may be something with other parts of the phone?
PS. Sorry for my english...

Try flashing stick kernel through fastboot. If it fails repair bootloader with testpoint.

To fix this, you need to desolder the USB-port from the mainboard and solder a new onto the mainboard. This is very hard to do if you haven't soldered a lot before, and it requires a lot of flux.
Just replace the mainboard, order a cheap Arc S from ebay with cracked screen and swap the mainboard.
