Hello all,
I recently picked up a used Note 2 att which had a bad charger port. The stock OS was installed and worked with some minor glitches from time to time which was caused by the charger port being broken. I sent it in to Samsung and they said it was BER(beyond economic repair). Before I sent it to them I went to android recovery mode and did a factory reset. I sent it off to them and the phone came back and wont turn on. I believe the OS is completely gone.
I have replaced the charger port by myself, but since I believe the OS is gone and the firmware is messed up the phone isn't recognized in odin mode with my computer. I know the charger port works because I can connect the phone to the charger and take out the battery and the phone still stays on.
I need to reflash the firmware and the stock OS but I don't have Clockwork recovery and I cannot access odin because the charger port isn't recognized. So I need to do this with the stock android recovery.
Anyhelp with this issue would be great. I have been trying to flash things and all I get is verification failed after I try and install from the external sd.
Thank you all.
If you cant get into download mode there's nothing you can do. Next steps would be to either contact a JTAG service to have the firmware flashed, or buy a new motherboard. JTAG is $50 and takes a week. A recommended service is www.mobiletechvideos.com

Hi guys,
I used techfanatic9's DIY for going to Jellybean on my VZW galaxy nexus and it worked but I had no mobile network.
After a few attempts they referred me to their going back to stock which used ODIN.
Anyway, reflashing back to stock failed in Odin and after I took the battery out and out it back in (with the cable connected) i could no longer get to download mode or recovery (I was using clockwork mod recovery).
Now everytime I turn the phone on it has a phone a yellow exclamation point and a monitor and I can't get to recovery or download mode.
Can anyone help me at least get to recovery mode again? Odin still recognizes my phone (drivers good) but it always fails to flash back to stock. I just got this phone not too long ago and I'm kind of devastated =(

Follow up.. Did a lot of self educating over 3 days.
I lost recovery. I made a jig using some resistors from radio shack and cutting up an unused usb cable.
Got download mode back and used Odin (which is a very bad tool from my research but also can be good) + a 4.0.2 image and a phone file and restored my soft brick back to stock.
Device: Rogers SGH i747M Android 4.1.2 Rooted with CWM Recovery and AxisM ROM
Problem 1: Phone charges when device is on, when device is off constant vibrate cycle.
Problem 2: Can't connect Phone to PC..
Problem 3: When phone is on and charging and i remove charger the phone still says charging for about 30 seconds. So there is a 30 second or so delay after the phone realizes i unplugged it.
I had my phone rooted for a while now and it's been working perfect. Up until i removed the stock ROM and installed the cyanogenmod for at&t. Once i removed my stock ROM the problems began. I have attempted to use 5 different roms all same problem. I have tried 4 different USB cables, 3 different computers.. I have a second device that's a duplicate that works perfectly fine with the exact same rooting technique, same recovery version, had the same ROM. One works perfect other is sick with this new disease.
Any ideas and help guys?

At this point, I'd probably try flashing stock and doing a factory reset (backup your stuff first). Start fresh from there. If the issues persist, might wanna get a replacement but my guess is that starting fresh should fix w/e is going wrong.
Once you've tested fresh stock ROM, go ahead and try flashing/rooting to see if the problem comes back.
I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 4 SM-N910P
I recently had the misfortune of downloading the update to Marshmallow. After 2 days of boot loops and random crashing, I cleared and factory reset the phone. It was still having the same problems, so I went into Sprint Zone to check whether or not I missed an update or it didn't complete properly and it told me to download another update. When the update got to 97%, it said download failed and the little android animation laid over and died (Samsung rep did not believe me that this happened). I took it to Best buy and the Samsung experience rep wasn't able to flash the software, but another worker told me how to go about doing it on ODIN.
I'm pretty proficient so I downloaded it, grabbed the appropriate TAR and drivers for the phone, it finally all went through (quite easily) and I was back to the recovery mode screen with the (now alive) android animation (not the odin mode/download mode picture, but the updating animation) and the screen went black. I think the battery may have died, despite being plugged in for the night.
Now for the problem:
My phone isn't recognized by my computer. It says I have plugged in QHSUSB_BULK when I plug it in and I am unable to start the phone by any means (not power button, not vol up+home+power, no way, no how... ) I also have no battery animation telling me it is charging.
I've heard legend of a debrick file that can be loaded onto an SD card and used to fix the phone, but cannot find the site/article again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello friends ... I need your help. More than 7 months ago I already have the Blackview BV 6000. A couple of months ago I was covering a problem in one of the charging pins that until today solved by a technical service, because I could only charge it to the current, but the USB storage mode I took it when I wanted.
The issue is this, almost a week ago I got an update by OTA, which seemed strange to me since I have always had my phone rooted, when downloading and installing the update my phone goes from the logo of the start to the TWRP mode and does not happens from there ... Before sending it to the technical service for the theme of the loading pin try to assemble the stock rom using SP Flashtool, something that did not work out, I already got a mistake (I assumed it could be due to the same problem charging pin)
When I received my phone today with the charge pin completely changed, I put my phone back to SP Flashtool to proceed with the flash, but again I still have the same problem of the error in the program.
My question is ... IS THERE ANY ROM STOCK THAT CAN BE MOUNTED THROUGH THE TWRP MENU? since my phone is currently without an operating system, when I turn it on, it sends me directly to the recovery menu.
I hope good answers ... And I thank you from now on. Sorry for my bad english.
Hello,
I have a massive problem with my device. As soon I plug my phone to an USB cable, it immediately crashes. I could charge it when I turnt off my phone tho, but my PC would not recognise my device. I have a custom ROM installed (Havoc OS) and haven't updated it since a year. I thought there's a problem with my charging port and I went to a repair service, but the guy told me the port is fine, it must be a problem with the custom rom. Unfortunately I can't flash a stock firmware on it or reset it to fix the problem, as I cannot connect it to my PC and install TWRP. Is there anything I can do, to remove the custom rom I have installed? When I do a factory reset, it stays. I already tried to install USB drivers, root it with kingroot (it didn't work) to use flashify or something like that. I don't know what to do anymore. Do you guys have any suggestions?
