Device: Rogers SGH i747M Android 4.1.2 Rooted with CWM Recovery and AxisM ROM
Problem 1: Phone charges when device is on, when device is off constant vibrate cycle.
Problem 2: Can't connect Phone to PC..
Problem 3: When phone is on and charging and i remove charger the phone still says charging for about 30 seconds. So there is a 30 second or so delay after the phone realizes i unplugged it.
I had my phone rooted for a while now and it's been working perfect. Up until i removed the stock ROM and installed the cyanogenmod for at&t. Once i removed my stock ROM the problems began. I have attempted to use 5 different roms all same problem. I have tried 4 different USB cables, 3 different computers.. I have a second device that's a duplicate that works perfectly fine with the exact same rooting technique, same recovery version, had the same ROM. One works perfect other is sick with this new disease.
Any ideas and help guys?

At this point, I'd probably try flashing stock and doing a factory reset (backup your stuff first). Start fresh from there. If the issues persist, might wanna get a replacement but my guess is that starting fresh should fix w/e is going wrong.
Once you've tested fresh stock ROM, go ahead and try flashing/rooting to see if the problem comes back.

I purchased two note 3's. The black one boots up fine on 4.4.2 just fine, but the white one however out of the box
experienced serious rebooting issue that almost made it impossible to root and attempt to tweak. Both these phones were factory sealed in the box. I was eventually able to get white note 3 rooted. I unlocked using chainfires region unlock.apk, and sure enough that unlocked the phone
domestically for use on At&t's network. However, when I attempted to flash back to Jelly Bean modem the phone accepted modem, but still had reboot issue. I tried to install HyperDrive Rom, and even that couldn't fix reboot issue. I turned OFF wifi scanning, and all of the other tricks that have helped people, but this phone continues to reboot about 30 seconds to 1 minute into main screen boot. Any IDEAS??
I am open to trying a myriad of ideas to fix this, I really need to get fixed to sell ASAP. Thanks for your help!
Neither of these phones can be sent back to Samsung. Need to fix myself
Thanks:good:

So u have a recovery on the device? If so, try this zip out.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/okx7op92cirn3l1/Brick_Loop_FIX_afterRestoringBackup.zip
Have you reset it from the menu or have you full restored to stock

Thanks for your help guys. Yes, I have performed a factory reset. Flashed stock firmware in Odin and Heimdall, flashed JB modem. Rooted, flashed Hyperdrive Rom, turned wifi scanning to off, and seriously tried every trick in the book. Perhaps try another rom on JB? I've heard some Note 3's have a Kitkat issue. Someone suggested hardware could be faulty but that doesn't add up since the phone doesn't reboot in download or recovery mode..
I've got two gnex (gsm) devices, one was mine (until switched to nex 5) and one my wife's. They were purchased about 6 months apart, and both worked with stock roms for over a year.
At some point, my wife's device began working super slowly, and shortly after, it started rebooting randomly. The reboots became more and more frequent, and hard resets didn't help. I tried installing Cyanogen, didn't help. She switched over to my device and the same happened. Eventually, both devices somehow became soft-bricked - they're both stuck in bootloop, without any interference on our side (my device was still on stock rom).
I tried returning them to stock via the toolkit (didn't work), manually using fastboot (didn't work), and eventually flashed both of them to 4.3 using Odin, with re-partitioning and the whole shebang.. Nada. One device was flashed using Odin 3.07, worked for about one hour, then started bootlooping again, the other device couldn't get flashed with 3.07 (got an error on system.img write) so I tried with Odin 1.87 which completed successfully, but once reset it was still somehow on Cyanogen and still bootlooping.
I've tried all the methods I'm familiar with, and several different stock roms. Tried switching the batteries, fully charging them, even flashing from different PCs.. To no avail. As far as I can see, the only explanation right now is that there's a hardware issue, somehow in both devices.
Will greatly appreciate any input from you guys as I'm pretty much at a loss here. :crying:
i would say its hardware but try flashing multiple roms idk why when stock fails or CM i got full on rom switching and it fixs my problems
Similar thing happened to me, I bought whole new batteries for my two phones and it fixed it. The batteries went REALLY bad.
I have the ATT sgh-i747. I was using it as normal. The battery was low and i could not charge it before it got to 0%. After it died, I connected the charger and started it back up. When the screen came on, the "no sim-emergency calls only" message was there and the touch screen did not work. Also, the time and date were off. it said 3:59 September 15th. I tried the normal reset (take battery out, replace, turn back on) several times and still the same thing. I had just replaced the sim reader a month ago, as well as the rear camera and speaker, and everything was working as normal. I opened the phone up to make sure all connections were set. Still the same message. I did a factory reset and after I turned it on, still, the touchscreen does not work and it says no sim. I find it odd that both these things would stop working at the exact same time. Also the phone is long past its warranty. Any ideas on what this could be?
Anyone?
Have you tried flashing another ROM?
I don't know how to do that, if you could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
Before anyone can give you advice, we need as many details as you are able to provide.
Was your phone running a stock ATT ROM? What ROM was it running? Are you able to boot into download mode?
Stock Rom, phone is not rooted and I can boot to download
What stock ROM? It's important that anything you flash does not try to downgrade the bootloader if you were on stock 4.3 or 4.4.
I'm not 100% sure. I want to say 4.3. There was a software update for the phone that automatically downloaded about a week ago but im not sure if that is related.
Since you received an update a week ago, you may be on KK.
I suggest flashing Philz Touch recovery via Odin and see if you can boot into recovery. In recovery you can see if the digitizer responds.
Flash the latest tar version from here in Odin: https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/d2lte/
Ok so i will try and explain step by step what is the matter here.... Since i have been trying to fix my Note 2 since 2 weeks now and i got nowhere.
I was running 4.4.2 and i had TWRP on it but it wasnt Rooted. (Bought it like that) Had some custom Rom on it etc...
Used it for 2 months with no problems whatsoever, decided to root and went on installing AGNI Kernel for better audio (Eargasm ON). Everything worked as a dream for 4-5 days...was enjoying the crazy sound. Till one morning i woke up,received a call and i had to swap my sim cards, after i did this i had Emergency calls only on screen. BAFFLED !! Went on factory restoring the phone, still Emergency calls only on screen. JUST LIKE THAT !! All of a sudden, with no reason at all !! o.0
Anyway, after that i tried again factory restore and wipe cache and something else from TWRP i think it was a FULL DELETE or something like that, including System and all... so i can install a new fresh ROM on it (As i thought it`s the ROM). Well that didnt went well for me,as the phone got stuck into Samsung bootloop. AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN !!!
I gave up on TWRP and connected it to the laptop so i can use ODIN and flash stock ROM. Worked !! It went pass the Samsung boot,i set it up,still had the same `Emergency calls only` error,BUT THEN as soon as i unplugged my usb cable from it,BOOM !! Phone restarts itself, and gets stuck on Samsung boot. I connected the charger, works fine. Stays in menu, apps work, etc. As soon as i unplug the charger or the usb cable,it kept on restarting itself and going into Samsung Bootloop.
Went on different threads, tried a lot of ROMS and Kernels, nothing worked,so i gave up and BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY.
With the new battery, phone worked ok,no more bootloops, but still the same `Emergency calls only` issue.
Tried installing the modem fix with twrp, phone got stuck on samsung boot, tried installing nb4_N7100_Patched Modem_CWM with philz_touch_6.46.3-n7100 phone got stuck on samsung boot.
Then tried installing back the Android that Worked as a dream before (TWRP-Android Revolution HD) but this time i had the philz CWM and guess what, whatever Rom i install with philz, the same Samsung boot comes on.
Right now i tried installing Phoenix ROM,got stuck on bootloop, then cleaned the WHOLE DEVICE by a MEGA WIPE with Zoot's-Wipe-Scripts_SGS_N-II then tried installing again Phoenix Rom with philz, phone still NOPE,stuck on Samsung bootloop.
I am dead !! Please somebody give me some hope here,as i am dying.
I will put back TWRP now,and install again the only ROM that worked for me that is Android Revolution HD and stay with the bloody Emergency Calls Only on screen till somebody will be able to help me out here.... Please guys... i dont know what to do anymore,i am actually loosing my hope,it`s been 2 weeks since i am REALLY REALLY trying to get it back working....i feel i am growing white hair !!
use odin and go back to stock
HERE
there is factory firmware with pit file.

Hi,
I have searched this forum a lot and found many solutions to my restarting problem but i am still not successful in getting rid of this issue. Let me explain the problem and solutions i tried without success.
Phone Specs
LG G3 D-850 AT&T When i got it, it had stock rom lollipop 5.0.1
Problem
It restarts automatically. It restarts whether i am using it or it is in idle state. It restarts even when being charged by Laptop USB cable. It restarts more often when battery is low like 5%. It restarts even without wifi without sim card.
Sometimes my phone does not start and i have to pull the battery out and put it on charge for a while then insert battery in and then it is able to start.
Solutions i tried but without success
1- Bought a new IbestWin Battery from Amazon 3000 MAH but the issue is still there. I also tried my colleague's OEM battery and restart was still there. His phone is also Lg G3 D850 ATT but from a different vendor and his phone is working fine on a custom rom of Fulmics marshmellow.
2- I tried custom rom of Cyanogen 12.1 lollipop through TWRP recovery but restart issue worsened, In fact the cyanogen did not always load correctly, phone shuts down at cyanogen pulsating logo.
3- I reverted back to stock rom successfully using the .Tot and DLL method (KitKat stock rom) but it even restarted more. I never installed anything, only built in apps already in the rom.
4- I read somewhere that putting a piece of paper between battery and card slot might resolve it, but still no success.
I took the phone to a repair technician and he thinks that this is either the software issue or the battery issue, phone seems okay.
Kindly help me resolve the issue.
Any one?

Yes i did (By pressing power button and volume down key) but still the frequent restart issue is there. I notice one thing though, that on Stock rom lollipp with stock firmware the restart was less as compared to stock Kitcat rom (.tot and dll). That leads me to believe that it is related to software and not hardware.
