Crazy storage downgrade help - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

So I'm trying to install aosp..and my storage gets all messed up after. Something to do with different partitions. It says its empty but all I have is 2 gigs available.
I fix it by flashing a tw ROM then my storage shows up again and I can flash a nandroid.
How do I flash aosp without my storage becoming invisible? This has never happened before when I flashed aosp. My usual method to downgrade is flash a tw ROM then the restore SD card file. Idk what to do lol

I've always just moved the "0" folder contents back to internal storage after going back to TW...then deleting the duplicates...
After that I delete the "0" folder...then the legacy and obb folders...
Back to normal after that...
Your lost space issue is unique...and I've never seen that happen on my device before...g

Is any way how to change it back? Can I revert back to stock 4.0.4 and fix it that way? Thanks for the reply.

I guess it has to do with 4.2 using symbolic links and 4.1.2 using hard links.

Thesingle 0 stucture is rhe new file structure. If you're getting multiple nested 0 folders you need to update your custom recovery to prevent that from happening again.
If done properly, you should one and only one 0 folder. Best bet is to: pull all the files from your sdcard, get the latest recovery version, delete your nested 0 folders, then restore your sdcard data.
Easiest way overall: update recovery, backup sdcard, format internal storage, reboot, restore sdcard.

After flashing cm, I can not connect to my PC to Odin...not sure why...I tried moving all my files back to /sdcard but the phone doesn't recognize anything, only the sdcard/0. I need to figure out how to use mobile Odin. Or will formatting the SD read structure the file system?

Just move everything from /sdcard/0 to /sdcard
As Android 4.2 has multiple users feature, all data will be on /sdcard/0 for the first user.
I have the same problem but worse. I flash another ROM after cm10.1 and I can't make any call..it says no mobile networks and no signal bars..I flash wicked, paranoid android and cm10.0 and get no signal and the messed up SD O..but when I flash cm10.1 I get full bar signal :/ what could be wrong?

Thanks for the replies. I don't think my imeis are lost since I flash cm10.1 again and I'm able to use it & I also found I zip on my SD cards that has it back up..I'm guessing i should format all or maybe Odin back to stock then flash

Did you use a aosp rom? If so get the revert sd fix in the aokp op. Aosp now emulates the internal sd and puts it in a folder named 0

I have the same problem right now.
In my case, there was a file called "0" in my internal memory, when I opened that file, it was just a double of my internal memory.
Me thinking it was just space being wasted on my phone deleted the file.
So now in TWRP my internal memory doesn't come up for downloads or flashes, but I can still see my internal memory in file managers.
Quite weird, I just concluded to flash things from my external memory lol.

downgrading from 4.2.2 to 4.1.2

I have a question about the process of moving back to 4.1.2 from 4.2.2
I was Testing the latest MIUI v5 build bu team noob and I flashed back to stock rooted MC2.
After booting MC2 I went to recovery and flashed the ZIP from the CM10.1 thread to downgrade back to 4.1.2
Now I have duplicate data in sdcard and data/media and I also have a folder 0
Should I just delete the 0 folder and the data/media folder or will that break the files in the sdcard folder?
Thanks in Advance!
I deleted the 0 folder after I transfered everything in it I needed. Hasnt been a problem.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
Did you do anything with the data/media folder?
I have 2 of everything right now

I had not even noticed. Thank you. I will backup to a computer and delete.

Lol I was nevvveerr aware of this. Did this JUST started happening for galaxy note 2? Never flashed aosp since almost every Google phone out there has it and really ain't that appealing as the TW UI. But back in the HTC days I never had to flash a zip in order to boot up back on sense UI. How wieerd what happens if you download an aosp ROM and just wipe everything and flash a TW ROM???
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
This started when they updated the base to 4.2.2
Since there are no 4.2.2 TW roms for our device it only shows up in aosp based roms
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
I always odin back when I install aosp roms, that way I know all the partitions are the way they are supposed to be.

Anyone have an answer?

2nd post was your answer just look through to make sure ur not deleting anything in one thats not in the other.use to deal with this on my nexus.i just deleted because its an exact copy was on my nexus anyways.

Dumb twrp question

So I realized when I wipe data before a flash my internal stuff is wiped. Specifically my download folder. On my infuse when I did fill wiped my internal was still ok.i dont use an external card. Whats going on lol.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
I think it is supposed to, why do you not have an extra sd? Even if you just bought a small one for a few bucks you could save your downloads and backups to external.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Your internal nor external memory should not be touched during a wipe unless you have those options checked. Check to see which partitions are being wiped BEFORE you begin the wipe process.
