Did you use a aosp rom? If so get the revert sd fix in the aokp op. Aosp now emulates the internal sd and puts it in a folder named 0

I have the same problem right now.
In my case, there was a file called "0" in my internal memory, when I opened that file, it was just a double of my internal memory.
Me thinking it was just space being wasted on my phone deleted the file.
So now in TWRP my internal memory doesn't come up for downloads or flashes, but I can still see my internal memory in file managers.
Quite weird, I just concluded to flash things from my external memory lol.

Think you have to be on stock kernel for that feature to work.

There's a thread in the dev section that has a stock rom that boots from emmc used to update prl and what not. I haven't tried using it but it might be worth a shot to boot it and move your apps then boot your original rom. But like the post above I'm pretty sure u gotta be on stock kernel.

That's true, but you can also temp flash stock then flash and use agats kernel and it will work until you go to clockwork. Then that cycle begins again. He explains it in his thread.

Trying to free up some space on my external card and realizing I have no idea what folder the backups are stored in, running clockworkmod based recover v5.5.0.4
never mind, found it, but for some reason every time i back it up, the date is all wrong, just backed up and it is 1970-01-04.06.58.12?
In had this same question, where did you find it?

Check clockwork folder and inside there should be a folder that says backup

Backups on this phone will always have the incorrect date. The recoveries do do not have access to the time.

That's weird, I made a backup with CWM before switching to TWRP and there's nothing in that folder.
Another question, where are the backups stored from TWRP? I can see them while in recovery, but not in any file explorer.

Im new to the s3 and i downloaded 2 zips but cant find them. Im coming off a sensation and i know when i downloaded a zip i would use root explorer>sd card>downloads> then copy and paste the zip and move back to sd for flashing.
if i open my download app in my s3 i see the zips, and even tried an external card reader and saw them but i cant find them on my phone to flash. So where would they be? I wanna flash....
Root explorer>mnt>extSdCard

Did you download the zips from xda or the web?

XDA.
To clarify, /mnt/sdcard on our phones is the internal storage, /mnt/extSdCard is the external (MicroSD) storage.

So I'm trying to install aosp..and my storage gets all messed up after. Something to do with different partitions. It says its empty but all I have is 2 gigs available.
I fix it by flashing a tw ROM then my storage shows up again and I can flash a nandroid.
How do I flash aosp without my storage becoming invisible? This has never happened before when I flashed aosp. My usual method to downgrade is flash a tw ROM then the restore SD card file. Idk what to do lol

I've always just moved the "0" folder contents back to internal storage after going back to TW...then deleting the duplicates...
After that I delete the "0" folder...then the legacy and obb folders...
Back to normal after that...
Your lost space issue is unique...and I've never seen that happen on my device before...g

Are you looking in the right folders?

Where are you downloading from? From a browser it should be in the /downloads and from GooManager its just in /Goo (Downloads or Manager)
Your recovery has a choice for internal or external sd card.
