I ported 4.3 PA from E975. Right now I am connected to Sprint and can use the phone, but have no mobile data. I have swapped the apns-conf, and eri.xml in framework-res. This is the only thing stopping me from posting. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I didn't think you could update profile on AOSP.
I think my aaa key is fine because I was reading that data would be messed up on stock ROM too, and I flashed back to nexOGen and data was fine.

You'll have to make a backup of your aosp ROM then restore/flash back to stock to update prl and profile. Then you restore your aosp ROM. Hopefully that works

Even if that works, I want a fix that will allow everyone to use it without going through all this.
It IS possible to update prl/profile on AOSP ROMs, because I could do it on Helly Bean for my old Samsung Epic. That doesn't speak much for us LGOG users, but maybe it could help somewhat.

Getting closer
Ok guys,
I got data to work early this morning by swapping out an apn file from another 4.3 ROM.
Here is what I've got now:
It booted and ran fine, but when I went back to recovery and flashed 4.3 gapps it would not boot past Google screen.

Whenever I have this problem I do a full wipe of everything on my storage device, and then push the file via adb/sideload in recovery. Install the ROM zip, and then side load the gapps and install. Clear cache/dalvik reboot...Profit? :0
I have formatted data, wiped everything, and pushed it with adb every time I flash it. Still the same result. I think it is the kernel, but don't know enough about it. I've asked a couple of people for help. If anyone knows what I could change in a 4.2 kernel to make it compatible with 4.3 that could fix it maybe?

People really need to stop saying that. It has happened with both recoveries. There is a thread on the issue with TRWP. There does not seem to be any correlation at all regarding which recovery you use.
Ya that has been discussed so many times out of the 500 times it has happened about 10 of them were from twrp that were reported.

Even if your 50-1 stat is correct, and I am not sure it is, you would have to know how many people with each recovery have successfully flashed without losing imei to have any meaning. Repeating an unproven theory like it is fact does not help. No offence because you are a good poster that is always helpful.
You have to account for the fact that even at this point there are probably still more people using CWM simply due to the fact that it has been around longer and a lot more people are used to it. If there is even a single person (and we already know that there is) who has lost their IMEI while using TWRP, that negates the concept that it is a CWM only issue. You also have to consider the fact that 500 reports is still not enough to establish a baseline, and also the fact that quite a few people have probably resolved the issue by searching and finding the solution without reporting it at all.
With all this in mind, it seems to me that it may be a more common problem on CWM, but we have no way of knowing whether that is because of TWRP being better or because of CWM being the more common recovery. However, we do know that the issue can happen on either recovery.

Recovery doesnt have anything to do on this. Our phone is build like that.
Best thing to do is back up ur imei .
Either recovery is true for lost IMEIs. I have used both and lost them on both.

Thanks, and I understand. I just did not want people to think one recovery was full proof when it is not and skip making a backup thinking they are solid. As suggested by others, making a backup of the IMEI is good idea.
Ok I got my imei back after a million tries, but still have no 4G data / signal. I tried all the mobile network options but no matter what I will be on edge network.

Why not just Odin back a factory jelly bean image and start from scratch.
You can at least eliminate the phone as being defective if it works when you go back stock.

If you do not see that it means you are on an AOSP type Rom. Your not on a Touchwiz type rom. Your going to have to create a nandroid backup of what your on right now if you wish to stay with that rom. Then your going to have to do a clean flash of a TW rom whichever you prefer I recommend either Freeza's Stock rooted MD4 or The People's ROM TPR. Once your on a touchwiz rom you can update your profile and prl with Sprint and you should be ok. Then you can simply restore your nandroid if you wish to go back

No that is a nandroid. So yes go download a TW rom, go into recovery Wipe cache wipe dalvik and do factory reset. Then flash the TW rom. Just boot it up log into Google you don't have to set it all up or anything so don't go through the whole restore process. Then update profile and prl and while your there it won't hurt to key this ##72786# into your dialer . Then reboot into recovery make a nandroid of that for future use if need be. Do factory reset again and restore your previous nandroid.

I believe on cspire you dial *611 and speak with a Rep, or Technical Support. They will reprovison it for you. As far as I know you cannot do it online. Not sure about doing it through the Device itself. The codes are most likely different.

Chad created versions for different LGOG models. He's legit. Wouldn't post in the Sprint forums unless he had something. There is a link for a geespr model (that's us).
By no sound I mean no sound at all. Can't play music or hear ringtones.
idk how I got here...

Weird cos UI sounds work. But all in all, the ROM feels somewhat daily enough for me. Data, Text, and Camera are all i need anyways.

The ROM worked for me as well. What I did was flash the Mako recovery first in our regular recovery, rebooted back to recovery from TWRP to put me on the Mako TWRP, then wiped and flashed ROM there.

How does the camera work? SMS/MMS/Data, etc. If everything basically works I might just go for it.

Well, I didn't get that far in the ROM because I noticed I was getting the bug where I wouldn't get data after switching back from wifi. Really killed the vibe for me. Maybe an APN switch would've fixed it, but I didn't try it, haha.

Do I just flash the recovery img or do I change the extension to zip?
