It is also for people that flashed ZVB from ZV9 with a stock rooted ROM, and did not take the radio update in the processes. You should be able to use this on ZV9 too.

Anyone try this out yet? Also I currently have cwm so I have to switch to team wins recovery to flash this?

Do you happen to have the version numbers for the radios? Other than zv7, zv9, zvb,

I haven't tested it in CWM. All I have tested it in was TWRP. It may or may not work.

unfortunately it does not change the chameleon service.

Yeah, it seems a few of us who've recently had our handsets sent in for repair received them back still on 4.1.1, but with an LJ5 modem.
While I put a new ROM on, I still retained the LJ5 radio.
However, I don't know how to pull it off the phone.
With help, I could try to do it for you.

So I have done this and have the LJ5 file - it's called modem.emmc.win - can you all install this or do I need to convert this to a flashable zip? If so, how?
Edit: Here is the link for the backup. Just restore this zip to your twrp folder and restore using twrp.

Jellybean ZVB Stock Rooted ROM Flashable ZIP

Alright everyone. Here is a stock ZVB rooted ROM you can flash. I recommend you flash in TWRP because that is all I have tested.
You must be Freegee unlocked
You do not need ZV9, this ZIP can be flashed clean.
It can also be flashed on top of ZV9 to upgrade it, wipe system before flashing.
I also recommend wiping system, cache, and dalvik cache in TWRP before flashing
I also recommend flashing the radio update prior to this. This can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176186
Information:
Odex
V1.25 SuperSu
1.19.0 Busybox
ROM Link: http://goo.im/devs/TheShadow/geehrc/ZVB-Stock-Rooted.zip

After Shelnutt stopped being dumb and corrected Freegee (heh) I decided I was going to upgrade last night, but since it took 1.5 hrs to donwload everything, I wound up having to get to bed before I was able to apply the updates.

[Q] CM 10.1.2 upgrade problems

Please don't tear me apart if this is the wrong thread...
So I'm currently running CM 10.0 and I'm trying to upgrade (through CWM) to 10.1.2 stable, but I am running into a status 7 error. I have done the following (In no particular order)
-made backup and wiped phone (including cache and dalvik cache)
-flashed the latest bootloader
-double checked MD5 sum and it was a match
-upgraded to most recent CWM
-tried fixing the assertions (as highonandroid suggests)
So what am I doing wrong?

Do a search for status 7
Because you've updated your cwm than your bootloader is out of date.

What do you mean do a search for status 7? I've searched all I can, those were all the solutions I came up with. First I updated CWM, then I fixed the assertions, then I redownloaded it for a clean start and then flashed the latest bootloader, and none of that worked.

You can have an old bootloader and have a newer modem.
Modem is your current baseband.
Here's an example. My bootloader is LK4 which is good for flashing and my modem (baseband) is MF1
Go in terminal emulator and type
su
getprop ro.bootloader
It'll tell you your bootloader if it's different than your baseband
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
And now is where I feel like an idiot...
The bootloader does not match my baseband, so since I am clearly incapable of flashing a new bootloader, can you provide me with a link that would help? Preferably one that could work with mobile Odin since access to a computer is limited for me right now

Root and Unlock is confirmed on zvc bin. The update should be no different. Fyi. To be able to install the update, you MUST have be totally stock ROM. Absolutely no changes.

I see. Ok, well I rooted and unlocked my bootloader yesterday. Today I received the update and installed it. When the phone rebooted to install the update, it went to TWRP. Then when the update finished, it booted normally. When I say nothing changed, I meant nothing with my software. Everything was left the same, even my notifications. When I tried to boot into the boot loader, it booted normally so I checked if my phone was still rooted and it wasn't. In a previous thread, you said that freegee and root are confirmed working on ZVC, that's what I was referring to because I'm gonna have to reroot and unlock again since the update unrooted and locked the bootloader.

Gotcha.
We have to have all updates before rooting and unlocking.
I can't remember if this is what it did when zvb came out our not. But we also couldn't unlock zvb for a while. So we avoided taking the update.
Anyway root and FreeGee will take care of you again as they do work on zvc.

Even I did the same thing as you. Installed the update on a rooted and unlocked phone, it went to TWRP, update was installed, after that rebooted and it was all stock with bootloader locked. Data was not wiped, all apps including Super SU was there but no root. It says ZVC in the settings, and google apps are updated.
