No it will not, it will use wifi to get location only IF wifi is on and only when an app needs to determine your location.

Is there an app that will turn off the phone service like you have removed the sim but leave wifi and bluetooth on?

No offense taken as this is really my first smart phone as I don't count my few months with a tracfone s390g becaust it is so crippled.
I knew about airplane mode but did not know I could turn on wifi and bluetooth and it would leave the service off. I figured turning on wifi would turn off airplane mode.

Just in case you wanted to do this the 'fun' way..
Open dialer and type *#*#4636#*#*
Select Phone Information
Scroll down and click Turn Radio Off
Of course, airplane mode works too, but who doesn't like a little back door action? (...that's what she said...)

I think that turning on the airplane mode can use wifi and cant use bluetooth?

On my previous phone I had an app called "Any Cut" that made it easy to put a shortcut on the home screen to get to Phone Info without having to go through the dialer; among other things, I used it for exactly this purpose. I can't find it in the Play Store any more, though. Anybody know of a current app with similar capabilities?

For problem 1 & 2: go into Settings / Global roaming -> Roaming clock settings -> Disable "Use roaming dual-clock"
Now you can change clock style (maybe a restart is needed)
For problem #3, I mine working ok
For #3, do you have a message when trying to put the brightness to max? Might be because the device is heating and won't let it rise.
for 3,i can tell you,if you don't put the brightness to min,the brightness auto adjust will work.and you can use 3845#*180*# to test it.
can't set

LG works in kinda different way:
The brightness level can grow up, but cant go below the minimal level you set.
I set it to 0 and checked auto adjust, it seems to stay at 0 even under sunlight

i have the same problem. i want to remove seoul clock. please help! ROAMING CLOCK IN SETTINGS APP IS GRAYED OUT AND CANNOT ACCESS.
I found the easiest fix guys.. just like the others i have an lgog f180k Korean ics.. dual clock settings is by default enabled.. to disable this u must be within a roaming area ask ur network carrier.. the phone automatically detects that roaming is available and it wil prompt u if u want to roam. Thats why global rroaming is grayed out because ur not in a roaming area. Here's my lockscreen now... luckily here in my place roaming is available.
I have searched and not found the changes needed so I'm posing the question here:
Is there any way we can have the WiFi power saving feature turned off as a default when using the stock rooted galaxy s4 rom?
What needs to be changed/done to achieve this? Simple?
Thanks!
Go into your settings, Wifi, press the menu button, advanced, then set Keep Wifi on During Sleep to Always.

Not sure about the USSD code since I'm on a modified kernel but I am assuming you can turn it off from the menu as well. Set it to off if you can and then reboot and open the menu and see if that setting sticks. Just curious, how is the power savings mode affecting you? If there is something specific, let me know.

I can't seem to find GPS shortcut for the pull-down menu after I did the KitKat update. Did they remove it or am I just blind and cannot find it?
Its called location. If you don't see that then scroll all the way to the right and click on edit and look for location. If its already checked then try toggling it off and back on
Sent from my LG-LS980 using xda app-developers app
I just figured that out. I really liked having 1 click GPS on and off. Now its 3 clicks. Oh well I guess I'll get used to it.
How is it 3 clicks? Once its on your notification panel you just toggle on/off with one click

Doing that also turns off the cell and Wi-Fi location services. I was just looking for the quick GPS sensor toggle.
Yeah it depends if you want to keep it on a certain mode. Thus far using the battery saving mode has still given me accurate GPS location. I haven't tried using navigation with it though so not sure if that would work just as well or not.

I don't like how the screen stays on while charging, I know theater mode can turn it off but I have to get into theater mode every night and I know there is a trick with ambient display from the app but this also takes time. Is there a way to just have the watch turn off the screen ALWAYS when charging without my asking it to?

Get an app called slumber. It does what you're looking for.

Actually slumber didn't work very well for me buy I ended up finding a thing online saying to go into developer options and change the setting, THAT worked wonders

I confirm that setting it "backwards" from what you expect does what you want. Someone's boolean logic was off when they programmed that setting.

This worked for me too. Setting is reversed.
Once on charge, I get the charging screen for about 15 seconds then it turns off and stays off! Perfect!
i can confirm that the setting is reversed
however, this feature isn't all that reliable (the screen doesn't always turn off)
