Bezel problem - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Got my phone repaired for an SDS freezing problem and seems to be working well. I have noticed now that there is a larger gap at the top of the phone between the screen and the bezel. It must have been caused as they replaced the mb. You can actually push the bezel down and feel it click into place but then it pops up slightly on release.
I admit I have got slight ocd when it comes to phones but this is going to collect dust and will annoy me.
I have seen how you can remove the bezel but were thinking has anyone fixed the gap by removing and refitting the bezel or shall i just live with it?
Cheers
Paul

Gap between top of bezel and casing?

Hi all,
Just got my HOX on Friday. I have noticed that there is a small gap in between the top of the bezel and the casing on my device. It has started to collect bits of grit.
I was wondering if people could check their phones and see if this gap is present for them - or whether this is not normal.
Thanks a lot

no gap here!
Just had a look.....
And yeah I have a small gap, the smallest of gaps will always collect dust =/
A small soft paint brush seemed to have done the job removing the dust...
Yeah. There is a very small gap. I use a post-it note and carefully remove any dirt. I'll eventually get fed up of doing this and just live with the dust.

[Q] build quality & service

Well, I got my Nexus on thursday, but immediately I noticed a problem .
At the bottom, the glass is slightly tilted, on the right is raised above the frame, while on the left is recessed ...
these are some pictures I took
I talked to the shop and they told me that they will solve the problem (repositioning of the glass) ...
What I wanted to know is what happen when the phone is opened, because on my current Nexus One, after first service, i have tons of dust entering between the display and the glass, and obviously I don't want the same thing also on this phone
So, do you have some experience with samsung's assistance ?
thanks!
anyone ?
As long as it's purely cosmetic, I wouldn't risk (or waste the money) having some guy open the phone to even out the glass.
Mine is the exact same way at the top of the screen, and I only noticed mine a few weeks after having it just because I was looking very very closely at the screen.
However, the problem it's quite visible on my phone, the difference between the two corners is about 1 mm, and with the glass that protrudes from the frame is even more subject to scratching ...
I don't know what to do ...
there is no one who opened the phone ?
The what you call a "glass" is the whole screen, so there no any way you get dust particles under it, as there no "under" , maybe the glue that hold it not have not dry good, I remember SGS2 have some yellow tint, or maybe it was SGS1, anyway things like that do happen to some devices.
Are you sure?
I have always found that touchscreen ("glass") and the display are two separate things
I'd return it for a replacement, that's an obvious build defect cite that you fear it'll either get worse or become a leak source.
Also, I am relieved I don't have this issue although I'd expect that I'd notice it quickly as you

Loose Front Cover

Hello everyone
I just bought a Galaxy Nexus last week and I am so far very satisfied with it.
But I do have one problem with the build quality.
At the front top, with the speakerphone and front facing camera, the plastic seems a bit loose, I can push it inward a bit and it will creak.
If I will push it inward with some force it will stay there solidly for a bit, but after a while it while go out again. I'd think it should remain flush with the case in any case. I check the screws under the battery cover already, and everything there seems to be fine, nothing is loose, so I have no other idea what might cause that.
Is this a common issue, or does anyone else here have this problem? Anyone know a possible fix?
I heard about this problem when I bought my GN (it was last year in December). It is the adhesive which is supposed to keep the glass and the LCD beneath together that fails to do its job. I recommend you bringing the phone back to the store from where you bought it for a replacement. That's what I would do.
Do you have any source of that?
I did not read anything like that yet.
And I don't think that is really the problem, the screen and glass seems to be well connected, it's that it separates from the casing.

[Q] Do you have creak issue?

Do you have creaks right side or around of screen? I have creaks of right side near irda blaster.
Mine 10.1 has creak issue near left speaker. It can be even seen as the frame is on same level as silver border
Creak like creaking sound or ???
Yes mine started as creaking and now the whole right bezel is separating from the screen completely. Along with burnt pixels.
Yes. Right side and bottom left are creaking on my 10.1. No separation though. I always have it in a case so I don't notice it.
I passed the device under warranty. Waiting for the result from the service center. Quality is terrible.
I thought I was dreaming, so there are creaks
yes!
Dood yea mine does the same thing. I was wondering If this was something to be worried about because I dont see or feel anything wrong with the device even though it creeks. I really dont want to get a refurb but do you think its something to pursue?
I have it too on the left side of the screen, where is the slot for micro sd card. I didn't notice it, before i read this thread and look on my device deeply. I hope it wont be expanding more.

[Q] gap between glass and edge of phone

After about a few days of owning this phone, I noticed that I have a gap between the glass and the top rim of my phone. I'm really noticing it now more than before because of the amount of dust that is building up. The gap isn't on any of the other three edges. Does anybody else have this issue?
I don't have a good way to snap a picture of my phone right now but it's really similar to this guy: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Compact/Z1c-Screen-Issues/td-p/704223
Not much response to his questions, which is why I'm asking.
I too have the similar issue. But, If you look close enough(at right light), you can see the dust at the bottom gap as well. This dust doesn't seem to go even after a swim/wash. And this dust thing does bother me a lot sometimes.

I don't have any dust at the bottom since there isn't a gap. The top gap is about .75mm wide. Not huge by any means but big enough to notice. I almost feel it would be better if it were even all the way around. Dust on only one edge looks more obvious to me.
