How much takes for you to charge phone?

Woww that's a lot ..... I think the problem is from the battery because I used to have a phone which used to go from 10% to 100% in 20 min ....so you may have to change your battery because the charger isn't related(I think )

Wait for other answers ... IN 20 MIN YOUR PHONE IS FULLY CHARGED FROM 10% TO 100% ??
Yes,that's a lie !(in my opinion)
Try this:
Try to use the battery till the shutdown point.
let it switch off.
charge the phone untill the light turns green (100%)
Boot into recovery and wipe battery stats
now reboot.
Maybe that'll help.
Normally i guess it takes some 1.5 - 2 hours to charge using HTC charger. I'm not quite sure as I never noticed this before lol.
Also try to charge your phone when it reaches below 20% only and until it's 100% in one go, I've heard it gives a little boost to life by saving a recharge cycle and also it charges much efficiently.
Hello everyone,
I observed a strange behavior of my arc s , when the phone reaches 100% charge and later when i unplug it my phone spends almost 20 minutes at this point and after some time it starts to discharge ie. it comes down by 1%.
But if i use it hear after it discharges rapidly.
I find this behavior very odd !
Can anyone explain me this behavior ???
Thank you in advance.

Check battery use
Check battery use to see what is consuming the battery
Maybe WIFI and sleep policy,Bluetooth,Network type WCDMA/GSM ,GPS and accounts sync ?
Observe the diagram or the slope in the battery use to see is your battery draining fast or is it normal, also what rom and kernel are you using
Isn't that the normal behaviour of a battery coming from a smartphone? .-. Mine's like.. 20 minutes on 100% before starting going down, and it doesn't affect my overall battery life at all..
!!!!

I have observed all of that.
Everything is fine, as the display uses the battery predominantly.
My guess is that is a sign for use to change the battery.
And also i see spikes in chart instead of going down the charge goes up and down.
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
how old is the battery?
how old is the battery ?if the spike goes up that means it is connected to USB and the phone is charging .attached is my battery usage 7 % in 11 hours the slope is continuously going down as it's been unplugged and running on battery only ,phone and battery are a year and half old
The "spikes" you refer to are because your battery isnt well calibrated...
You can charge it fully, use it and when its around 5% charge it again to full. And if you delete the battery stats your battery must sette down over some day or two.
But for a better response you need to upload a picture of your battery stats.
My battery sometimes stays in 100% some minutes, some other times is goes down to 99 very quicky, but its normal for me cause it usually lengths for two days + with normal use

Its a year old.
Yes i totally agree the oly time the graph should go up is when its plugged in and not wen unplugged.
But i sometimes see the spikes when unplugged.
Nevertheless it has not degraded the performance.

Drain your battery to 0 percent then do a complete charge from 0% to 100%
Worked for me.
I have the same problem.I tried two different batterys and from both i get the same result.I think it's a problem with the sensors, when it reach 100% stops charging but in reality isn't charged at all.

Did you recalibrate the battery?
Here is a link to an app in the google play store
http://goo.gl/xRHjp7
I discharged it yesterday and then it charged completly in 15 minutes.I see in the app's screenshot that at 66% he has 3882 mv.On my phone at 100% it shows 4mv.
Hi there,
I just got my phone and I thought the quick charging should charge my phone fron 0-80 in about 35 minutes...
I turned off the phone and from 0-35% took around 32 minutes which does not sound right...
Is it because the phone was turned off?
Or something needed to be set? Its the factory default charger.
Thanks in advance

Did you literally just get it and plug it in, or did you run it all the way down to 0% and then plug it in?

Well, the first thing you'll probably hear around here is never let it discharge all the way to 0% because it's bad for the battery. I'm guessing that, if you did let it go all the way to 0%, it might take a little bit to get going again, so the charging time would indeed be longer.

I am not sure why would it be bad for the battery?
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
If you Google something like, "lithium ion battery discharge 0%", you'll find all types of reasons why it's possibly harmful to your battery.
Nope.
Mine charges to about 40% in 30 Minutes. That's normal.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=66920323
Don't worry about that 0% nonesense.
Smartphones are Idiotproof. You can't do anything wrong to damage them with normal usage.
Yes of course it's Bad for battery life (long term) if you drain it to 0% every day but until 4% is completely fine.
Why is it Bad to drain a battery to low? Take a look at the battery Voltage Graph in my Charging Chart. Charging is even more Voltage than discharging. If you use and App to check battery Voltage you will see about 3.7V at 4% and it Drops to 3.6.... 3.5..... 3.4V the closer it gets to 0%
Batteries don't like that.
Feels like my nexus 6 charger charges faster than stock HTC 10 charger
Don't just tell us about your feels.
Install the batteryLog app and let it run for a charge, then Export to file and show the csv here.

OK, quick look.
A Li_ion battery has a life cycles 400 - 500, that means battery can go from 100% to 0% normally 400 - 500 times, after that, battery will start to get problems, e g, you see it's 100% battery but in 30 minutes normal usage it goes to 0%.
If you charge the battery to 100%, then recharge it only if it gets down to 0% every single day, then after one year it's very likely you'll face the battery issues.
Yeah.... so if you recharge your phone not when it's at 0% but at 50% you will have around 800-1000 cycles...
AND you charge your phone about twice as much as the other guy who only charges at 0% so in the end you both end up with the same battery capacity after a year xD
P.S 400-500 life cycles means until the battery has 75% of its original capacity left, and not untill it's totally unuseable

Hello guys,
whats your opinion about charging Redmi note 5/Pro mobile battery from 0% to 100%, Is it really safe to do ?
As some user reported, charging from 0% to 100% may spoil lifespan of battery..
Whats your charging routine?? When do you guys start charging redmi note 5/pro ?? Share your opinion on charging routine
I usually change my phone about every 3 months so, i never worried about the health of my battery, i always charge from 0 to 100
No trouble full chargin. If u able, better to not discharge below 50%, as all lithium batteries, but influence of this behavior on battery lifespan is not measured.
Personally I feel anxious when see 30% left and charge at this time, but its only my habit

Yes.. thats good habit... I used to charge my mobile from 15% to 100%
for me , i will charge the phone anytime i needed
They say 50% to 80% is optimal for long term battery health.
But, who would do that. Charging from 0 to 100 isn't so bad if your phone lasts 2 days and if you keep the temps low.
I usually put on charge at around 30% sometimes ~40% if I'm going out and need a top up. Even when around 30% I usually average about 8hrs screen time over 24-36hrs, so batty life is good for me. Generally never run battery to empty, try to avoid ever going under 20%.

I usually selled or give it to someone of my family, right now im waiting a few months and i want the mi 8 explorer, but i dont know, is very expensive
I Always Charge My Phone When Battery Below 40% and Disconnect Charger When Battery Between 80% to 92%
100% Charge My Phone one time in 15 day
i charge mine between 20% or 15% upto 100%
not sure about depleting to 0. wasnt that for nicds batteries that had a memory but not lithium or lipos.. but yet again ive seen many articles about lipos not to discharge to 0.
its been a while since i knew about batteries when usw=ed to fly rc helicopters.. more then 10 years ago.
not sure whats new.. i also think fast charge affects battery life.

its safe but when u do it it resets its log... so better do 20-70
It's best to stay between 30 and 70% but that counts for every phone
It is good to be concerned for your smartphone's heat but don't be too worried about it. What matters most is to enjoy using it and not being anxious for such things. Just try to not let it discharge completely and unplug it before it is fully charged when possible. As someone else said above, you can change the battery with a fresh one in a few years. I doesn't cost much. That's my personal opinion though
Xiaomi recommends to keep atleast 10% of charge all the time to extend battery
Any phone I used, charging no more than 95%, discharging no lower than 25%. In this range, I charge when I want, no rules!
