Hi everybody,
I'm trying to give a second life to my GSM Desire. Like a lot of people, I had internal memory problems with my Stock ROM Froyo, so I decided to skip on custom ROMs with unlimited memory.
I tried CM7 but I missed Sense. Then I flashed Supernova Xtrem, unlimited memory was good, but my device was rebooting once or twice a day, loosing each time 5 by 10% of battery life...
So I decided to flash another ROM: Cool3D Runnymede v7 by Coolexe.
My device is rooted, S-OFF (Revolutionnary) and I installed 4Ext Recovery (which is really very usefull) !
Coolexe wrote that it's Stock Hboot compatible so I kept my Stock Hboot.
I've a 1GB Ext4 partition (thanks to 4EXt recovery).
The md5 is good, so I flash the ROM in the recovery (Stock Hboot, dalvik to SD, GSM version), the phone reboots and the ROM works.
BUT I can't use my Ext4 partition! The free space on my internal memory is only about 140 MB...
So I looked for a solution in the forum and after many wipe/reflash/reboot/wipe/reflash/reboot, I found the Amarullz'A2SDX script ! I flashed the 40ad2sdx-a2.zip file in the recovery and, fantastic, it shows in my internal memory 330 MB and 660 MB free.
So I install some apps, I use the web browser and I get a message telling me that the internal memory's full..Damned!
So, Could you suggest me a "A2SD" method that works with this great ROM ??? :fingers-crossed:
I unzipped the ROM package to see how it was made and I saw It already has a "initd" folder with a "40a2sd" file in it. Is it a clue?
Thanks in advance!

The ext partition is working. It will not show in the internal memory. You will see that your memory will be filling a lot slower. Just continue using the ROM. You didn't have to install anything.
Reinstall the ROM, and use it like it is.

Thanks for this very quick response! it's just that simple ?!! I'll give a try tonight !
Fhlamby
Woow, impressive! In fact, it was so simple! Seems to work! I installed a lot of apps: as you said, the internal memory fills very slower...But I have to install lots of applications to make it full...
Problem solved!
Thank you very very much!

Hi !
I have no more problems with A2SD but sometimes (at least once a day), the phone freezes. It can be when I open a game (angry birds or fruit slice) or even when I open the internet navigator ! The only solution I found: take off battery and reboot...It's the ONLY reproach I have for this ROM, so if I could solve it, it would be great!
Could it be a RAM problem (in this case, I don't know what I can do) or perhaps a kernel problem (I have this one : 2.6.35.14-gingercakes-0.9-avs, is there a bette one for this ROM) ?
Thanks in advance!
Fhlamby
Try droidzone kernels, prob the best sense kernels around.
Ok, thanks for the advice! Where can I find it and which one is the best for the Cool3D ROM ?

Google would be a good start. Also i never used that rom so i dunno. Droidzone has alot of kernels, all with different features. Have a read at them and test a few of them over the next few days

Hello guys
I´m new here and also quite new to the custom rom scene.
You can skip my story if you want. The questions are below
I bought a Desire (bravo Amoled) around a year ago with a T-mobile Branding.
At this time the actual android version was 2.1 Eclair. Later tehre was 2.2 Froyo out. Becaus i didn´t wanted to wait for the T-mobile update I debranded my phone so get the open 2.2 Froyo update.
I was so happy Froyo had the App2SD function, because now i can intall more apps then before. But with all the updates for google maps, google mail, facebook apps...and user that have to stay on phone memory and the user apps moved to SD still storing data on the internal memory and the dalvik cache i soon again had space problems. Still i can´t install all apps i like.
So lived with this problem not aware of a solution till 2-3 weeks ago, where i finally rooted my phone and installed a custom Rom with A2SD+.
Now I have a rooted, S-OFF phone with Insertcoin V49 A2SD+ Version. And i thought there would be no more space problems, because the dalvik cache and all apps are now on the fake internal memory (1,5 GB ext3). But NO, there are still apps storing stuff on the real internal memory. At last i had problems to move Plants vs. Zombies (~70MB) from SD (Froyoinstall) to the ext, because the internal mem hadn´t enough space and it wouldn´t let me move.
Next step CM7 Hboot?
So here are some questions to understand how that works.
1. When i install a CM7 Hboot, the data partition (internal memory) will be bigger, yes? Means there will be almost double space for app DATAs?
2. The system partition, where the actual ROM is stored and booted is smaller?
2a. But that means some parts of the ROM need to be moved to the SD?
2b. Doesn´t this make the entire phone slower? Because reading from the SD card is slower then from nand? (8GB Class4)
2c. Is there higher power consumtion because of constantly SD access?
3. The cache partition is dramatically decreased to 5 MB. What is ist used for and will there any diadvantages because of the small size?
4. What happens with the Dalvik? Where is ist stored?
5. Does A2SD+ still work with the CM7 insertcoin version? (big ext 3 fake internal memory) or only Froyo A2SD with the bigger real internal memory?
6. How do people get 160-180 free RAM? I have around 100-110 MB.
So my goal is to get as much space available for user apps and getting a faster device (or at least dont get a slower one)
Hope someone read all my questions and can give me clarity..
Thanks in advance

Hi beegee,
I'm new to this myself, so not an expert, but I just flashed the CM7r2 hboot myself and will help where I can. Note, I am using CyanogenMod7, not InsertCoin.
1. Yes, the system and cache partitions used by the phone ROM are decreased substantially, system decreases from 250MB to 145MB and cache from 40MB to 5MB. This extra space is then added to the internal data partition for your apps and games. I only have a few apps installed at the moment and my data partition is 287MB total, 21MB used, 266MB free space.
2. Yes, see above.
2a. No, the ROM only requires 145MB, none of it is stored on the sdcard.
3. I'm sure the cache must be a fixed size. Mine (with CyanogenMod7) has remained at 4MB since install so a 5MB partition is large enough.
4. I store dalvik-cache on the ext3 partition of my sdcard as you are doing now. If you moved it back to the phone memory it would be stored in the data partition.
5. I use a version of A2SD with the CM7 hboot and it works fine.
6. I've not used insertcoin but as I said in the first answer I have 287MB data partition in my phone now. This is due to using the CM7 hboot.
Hope this helps,
Steve
The larger cache size from the stock Hboot is meant for OTA updates so we have no use for that. It's also used to flash radio images from recovery. If your cache is too small, like it is in the CM7 and Oxygen Hboots, you will need to flash the radio via fastboot but you don't really need to worry about flashing radio's anyways..can look into that later if you want.
Thanks for the answers by now.
What i found out:
The Insertcoin is a Sense enabled rom. The zip of the Rom is about 288 Meg big. Its not an AOSP like Cyanogen, which is so sleek to fit completely in the smaller system partition. I extracted both Insertcoin A2SD and CM7 zips and found that they have a sdext folder. On the cm7 version it is 365 Meg and on the a2sd+ 80 Meg big. So both versions install files on the external partition.
Only open question now is if the CM7 version supports A2SD+
Edit: Obviously the CM7 version has no A2SD+
Also the the new bigger system partition only has ~ 80 Meg free after first boot ?!
Hello. I haven't installed, yet a custom ROM (I'm still on Rooted Stock), but documented a little to understand even better what each ROM does.
1. I saw that you wanted a very fast ROM, the only ones that are really fast are the AOSP ROM's since they are in the most minimalistic form possible --> ~150MB
2. You should also take in consideration that a small cache partition may slow down some games. This was tested and problems appeared at some games, which use some improved graphics. The games also store there some of the "graphics files"? and since the partition is too small, it has to constanly read/write/delete.
3. CM7 version supports A2SD+: you should read the whole thread from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917570. It explains all. As I have read some of it two things popped-up:
-CyanogenMod do not officially support a2sd, i'm working on it because desire (not only) desperatly need it (cutted down Firerat script)
-Other a2sd can be used, this is just the easiest way: use recovery to partition your SD then install cm7_legacy_a2sd_rX-signed.zip
Hope this helps you.

Hello
Thanks for the infos. I know the ASOP roms are faster, but i don´t want to miss the Sense UI.
To 3. I think there was a misunderstanding. When is say CM7 i dont mean the rom "CyanogenMod7" but the CM7 Hboot Version of Insertcoin rom.
I just tried to postinstall a2sd via http://www.darktremor.info/files/a2sd/dtapps2sd-2.7.5.3-beta04-signed.zip
But after installation in recovery, the phone wont boot Insertcoin. Stuck at Alpharev Bootstreen now.

Presumably the HBOOT and Radio partitions are the same size whichever HBOOT you use, and Radio immediately follows HBOOT. Otherwise you would have to flash the Radio if you changed he partition map by (eg) going from Stock to CM7.

If you've done a nandroid back-up before trying to flash the A2SD+ scripts (which is advised!!!) you should go back to recovery and restore it. You should go back to your InsertCoin again and try the steps once again. Maybe you did something wrong or got a wrong file.

No, i didn´t made a nandroid backup, because ist was a new Insertcoin CM7 install. No personal data to lose.
I just wiped and made a new install. Now i have 199 Meg internal memory free.
Edit: After installing DT A2SD in recovery again, the phone is again stuck at Alpharev splash What now?
Edit2: After installing the Rom over without wipe, Insertcoin boots normaly. But i encountered, force reboots when installing any app.
So i made a new fresh isntall.
Conclusion: Insertcoin uses my Ext4 for its Data. But will not use it as fake internal memory. My Ext4 is ~1,5 GB big. Insertcoin uses 600 MB from it and the leftover 900 MB are wastetd, because no one uses it.
Edit 3: Insertcoin doesnt like Ext4. Everytime i tried to install Astro File Manager fom Market the phone rebootet. No problem with Ext3
hi, i got a little problem.
i installed this rom on my desire
[ROM][Cool3D Sense 3.0][19 Sep]Cool3D AceS v3 |Android 2.3.5|FAST|STABLE|STOCK|CM7/r2]
i still flashed 1 time a new rom before that, so i still got s-off.
first i backuped & wiped all. then i installed over Clockwork then the rom (cool3d Sense -CM7/r2.
it works. but now im wondering about the message "the memory is full" - should i do something to activate the ext4 partition?
I think you need to move your app to SD manually or you can install the version of the rom with data2ext which is in same page
thx - wil try it on sunday(short holiday) - but i still tried the data2ex version - same problem.

I flashed the "stock users.zip" the memory still shows 139MB and goes on decreasing. I installed some 7-8 apps, mem went down to 108 MB.
A 512 MB ext4 would be OK or do i need a 1024 ext4 partition??

Can someone plz provide a step by step guide to install this ROM?
for this rom all you need to do is flash hboot version cm7/r2, wipe through recovery, create a 1024MB partition through recovery, flash the ext4 align file and flash the rom itself.
if you have no idea what i'm talking about then (new users guide):

After flashing the Rom you still have to flash the weather-pack.zip and a2sd.kd.zip. And that guide is immensely useful for people flashing a new Rom the first time.

I had flashed this rom and it worked briefly then hung up on me. I wiped everything and tried multiple times, but couldn't get it to work again. Thanks for the excellent tips. I will try this again when I have a few hours to kill.
Hi,
This is not an attempt to highjack this thread. I am facing a similar issue and hope someone can throw light on it.
I was using Coolexe's Sense 2.1 on by HTC Desire with stock HBoot and EXT4 partition on my memory card and hence had to suffer with 147mb memory.
Recently purchased a Transcend class 10 8GB SDHC memory card with hopes of getting sense 3.0. I followed these steps to install Cool3D sense 3.0 on my phone.
1. Create FAT 32 partition 6.36GB.
2. Create 1024 MB EXT4 partition.
3. Boot to clockworkmod recovery.
4. Installed the zip's in the following order.
i) Alignment_Cool_2.zip
ii) Cool-Sensation-v10.zip
iii) Stock_Users_v10.zip
5. Reboot phone.
Now the phone is working fine and is quite smooth apart from an occasional judder. However my EXT 4 partition does not seem to be active. It still shows 110Mb remaining out of 147Mb!...
Is there any step that I have missed? How do i activate the external partition?
Thanks for the help

First of all, why did you flash Cool Sensation? And it is normal for A2SD+ ROMS. With A2SD+, still not everything is transferred to the EXT partition only the apps and the dalvik cache are transferred there, the rest of the data will still be placed on the internal memory. Hence the decrease in memory. If you want data to be on the ext partition you will have to flash a Data2EXT rom.
Hi everybody,
I've rooted my HTC Desire and installed the InsertCoin Sense 2.1 CM7 1.1.4 ROM. It works great, but the main resean of rooting my phone is creating more space on internal memory.
So, I've installed Titanium backup and moved my apps to SD. With the 'App2SD' app I can see the apps moved to the SD card. But unfortunately the available space on the phone itself didn't change. So now I'm stuck with 8.41 MB of free internal memory.
Who knows a solution???

it's long, but hopefully your understanding will be better afterwards
Great, this was exactly what I'm looking for. Now I understand the difference between A2SD+ and CM7. I've installed the latter, hence the internal memory problem. Changing to the A2SD version will probably fix this, but I read a lot about the CM7 being faster than the A2SD.
I'm gonna give it a try!

glad it was useful, also reassuring to hear that you're learning along the way!
I solved the problem and compared to rooting and s-offing the phone, this was really easy. It wasn't necessary to install the A2SD version. I stayed with the CM7 version of Insertcoin because of the speed advantages compared to A2SD.
The trick is to install a new hboot table. The original leaves little space for apps to install. I downloaded a new partition table from alpharev.nl (Bravo CM7 r2). Make sure you pick the PB99IMG file and after downloading rename it to PB99IMG.zip. After checking the checksum, I copied it to the root of SD card on the phone. Switched off the power and went into fastboot (hold power and volume down and navigate to fastboot). There you'll be prompted if you want to install the update. Select yes and the new table was installed in seconds. I rebooted the phone, and without re-installing backups, it worked instantly! Now I have 145 MB free! It sounds like an advertisement, but it wasn't any more difficult than this. No need for using command prompts or android flasher...
Hi
I have a question regarding the available internal memory for installing new apps.
One of the main reasons i rooted my desre was to gain additional space to avoid the constant low memory space warnings.
So from my understanding, the additional space is achieved in 2 ways. Firstly using a custom hboot which gives more space to data/apps than the standard stock hboot. I've updated to alpharev cmr2 which should give me 287 internal mem.
Secondly with the use of apps2sd+ more apps should be moveable to the sd card.
So far I have flashed a miui rom and now I've got the cooleve runnymede v5 rom.
When i was using the miui rom - internal space appeared to be showing approx 400mb available. When I have flashed the coolexe rom internal space available appears as approx 120mb.
Why is there a difference between the 2?
What I want is sense 3.5 rom which will give me approx 1gig memory to install apps to without worying about space. is this possible or have all recent efforts gone to waste and I'm back at square one???
Thanks
manny
Wipe the phone and then re-install the ROM but before rebooting it flash amarullz ADSDX script then reboot. Should get 1gb but it will take 10-20 mins on first boot so wait!

Whats the difference between using x2sdx and apps2sd?
Is one better than the other or do they both do different things? And are all roms compatible with this?
Thanks
Same issue
Hi,
I have rooted my desire for the same reason as mannysroot - low memory!
I have rooted with unRevoked and installed CM7. I got some more freed up internal memory as the stock HTC apps were gone. However, after installing a few apps, I again got the low memory issue!
My Titanium Backup shows:
System ROM: 262 MB (122 MB free)
Internal: 154 MB (15.8 MB free)
My queries:
1. Now, while my internal still remains a measly 154mb, I have got free space on the system rom! Can I use this for my apps?
2. Do I need to install the app2sd scripts mentioned above? Cos I already can move most of the apps to the sd card. Of course, some apps refuse to move.
Just to complete, my device info:
HTC Desire GSM
CM7 - through - Unrevoked & ClockworkMod Recovery)
S - ON.
I have searched on xda forums and a whole host of others. Sorry if I'm being a noob.
Thanks in advance (for reading at least)

Zanyguy - from my understanding, firstly you need to S-off which gives you access to write to a part of the memory which is currently locked. Once you have achieved s-off you will have access to this area. To do it - i used the revolutionary tool.
Once you've done that, you can update your hboot. Again from my understanding, updating the hboot will update the layout of internal memory. I updated to CMr2 hboot (downloaded from alpharev.nl website). What this gives in theory is 287 internal mem. The area used for storing the rom will now be a lot smaller, which will mean your stock rom ownt work. So you will need to flash a custom rom which will fit - look for the cool 3d runnymede v5 which I am currently using.
Once you've done all of that you will probably get to the same stage I'm at - whilst you've gained more memory, its not as much as expected.
You will also need to partition your sd card to have an ext4 partition. i used gparted tool for this. I allocated, 1gig for the ext4 partition, thinking that I will have 1gig to use for apps etc. However, so far this hasnt been the case, but having an ext4 partition appears to be a requirement for a number of roms.
Thanks
Manny
Can anyone help with my original questions?

Is one better than the other or do they both do different things? And are all roms compatible with this?

XD2SDX makes your ext4 partition look like internal memory, e.g 1gb ext4 will look like 1gb internal memory!
It's only for certain ROM's. It works fine in coolexe's sense 3D 3.5.
Here's the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18911182&postcount=1784
Steps:
Change your HBOOT to CM7r2 using the bootloader
Wipe all of your system using your recovery
Flash the coolsense 3.5
Flash Amarullz XD2SDX script
reboot
Wait 15-20 mins when the HTC screen appears
And follow the setup
And you're done!

Hi,
I have rooted my desire for the same reason as mannysroot - low memory!

I suspect you're using the stock HBOOT.
You need a 1gb ext4 partition on your memory card using GParted
Flash CM7 again
You'll need Darktremors apps2sd script
Follow the instructions:
http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=158809660835039
Flash the downloaded file straightafter flashing CM7
You'll now have loads of space for your apps!

I followed the steps above, but I'm not sure it worked. After I installed the Darktremors script, my phone hung on the HTC boot screen. After awhile, I pulled the battery and it rebooted fine. However, I'm only showing 100 mb free. I ran Quick System Info and it appears my ext4 partition is working fine. Are there any settings I need to change? I have a Desire CDMA, does that matter?
By the sounds of it there isnt much point/advantage to apps2sd+???
I tried a newer version of the Darktremor script and the phone rebooted fine. However, I'm still at less than 100 mb free. What can I try next?

To a certain point there is. The darktremors app2sd script allows the apps to be installed on the ext partition and therefore allows you to install more apps!
Although XD2SDX is now my favourite script but you need the cm7r2 partition to use it. As you already have it, it is all good
System ROM: 262 MB (117 MB free)
Internal: 154 MB (58.9 MB free)
SD card: 14.0 GB (13.3 GB free)
SD card (a2sd): 1.55 GB (1.51 GB free)
It seems that Darktremor is working to some degree (or maybe the CM7 rom is just better). It's moving more of the app to the SD card than my stock rom did. However, it's not moving anything to the ext4 partition.
Would I be able to do the cm7r2 partition with XD2SDX and have better results?

How do I check whether the apps2sd is writing to the ext4 partition or not? Or how can i see how much is being used of the ext4 partition?
Download sebastiaan15 Runnymede AIO V3.0.5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1315961 Make sure you have CM7/r2 Hboot and have partitioned your sd card with Gparted.
First partition fat32-primary second ext4 primary.
Put rom zip on sd card and boot into recovery full wipe, even in advanced settings wipe dont touch battery.
Flash RoM and at the end it will ask you if you want xd2sdx or normal a2sd+ you want to select YES. thats it reboot and enjoy 1GB storage.

I guessed as much after seeing S-ON. Well, I guess I'll first try S-OFF and then go for the 1 gig partition if required. Scared of tinkering with things I hardly understand!

I guess I will have to go for the partition sooner or later looking at how measly HTC has been with the internal memory! But, then I will have the guts only when I need to do it
Another thing I noticed were the number of guides now available online! Its like the information overflow problem. Just that you don't know which to go with!
Which one should I go with - in particular for turning s-off, changing hboot and partitioning sd card! Any help appreciated.

Will this Runnymede ROM work with a CDMA Desire? It looks like the Cool3D Runnymede works with CMDA, but it doesn't say anything about xd2sdx or even a2sd+.
I'm going to try re-partitioning my SD card with gparted to see if that makes a difference. I read a negative comment about Minitool, which I used, and I'm wondering if that's my problem.

Think its only GSM you should always use Gparted, I like to stay away from recovery partition and windows partition.
Recovery partitioning is as good as partitioning with GParted. One should only be aware of programs like MiniTool Partition Wizard.
Hello all!
1st post and 1st day registered, thought ive been monitoring desire activity in these forums since 2011. Thank you al for the help provided through these years.
THE BACKGROUND
I have been using HTC Desire for about a year with oxygen rom and was more than pleased with the results. after that i had to give away my phone to my wife, for some time, in witch i flashed stock rom (some women cannot appreciate the use of custom/rooted phone!?!? haha) .
Now the phone is back in my hands, and as much as i would like, oxygen is outdated (or better say non existent).
THE QUESTION
Is there a current rom JB+ (up to date) that meets the speed and stability standards set by Oxygen2.3.2 with Data2sd support(or data2everywhere) and preferably without sense UI ? i currently have a class4 4gb microsd partitioned with ~3.5gb Fat32 / 512mb ext4 partition.
Thank you again for your time
PS: i have tried some roms around, but ive found them a bit slower even in touch experience , than GB AOSP roms.
In short, doubt you'll find a JB ROM that matches the speed and stability of Oxygen or GB AOSP ROMs. Oxygen still is one of the most stable ROMs despite being abandoned, mine is still based on it. Just because it isn't updated doesn't necessarily make it bad .
The only way would be to keep trying a few JB ROMs yourself, see if they are good enough for your standards. (I don't think any of them have Sense UI).
Data2sd is a bit different, most ROMs now just use normal A2SD, moving apps and dalvik to the sd-ext, JB ROMs tend to need to be activated by terminal commands (read the OP of the threads / search), so you don't have to flash anything extra.
512MB ext4 partition is a bit small, you might run out of space on it depending on how many apps you want to install. Consider repartitioning it to ~1.5GB if you can afford the space, do this using 4EXT recovery or gparted only.

i found a working copy of flashable Oxygen 2.3.2 but im having trouble enabling A2SD support on it. you see, all Oxygen specific guides are on "404 page not found" state, and i have no memory of what i did to install it 2 years ago.
i tried as i said a couple of other roms, and none matched the speed of GB Oxygen
Thank you for your time,
Dimitris

Try the one in my sig, it's no longer being developed, but based on Oxygen 2.3.2. It works best in terms of space if you are s-off with cm7r2 hboot.
You don't have to do anything with this one to activate A2SD, it's already built in. As long as the partition is properly created in gparted or 4EXT recovery, just keep apps on internal (don't 'move to SD') and apps and dalvik will be tricked to sd-ext. You won't see your actual internal memory read 'internal + sd-ext', but the A2SD is working.
UPDATE:after a few hours of testing, and flashing, I managed to find Working copies of oxygen 2.3.2 and compatible version of a2sd.
Today I will upload those files to my server for distribution, along with a «short guide» post in case anyone wants pure oxygen experience on his desire.
Regards
Dimitris

iIF you have CWRecovery V3+ you have to flash an older version, in order to be able to flash the a2sd above. You downgrade using Android Flasher.
Steps that worked for me:
1 Create 2 partitions on SD, one FAT32 and one ext3 (using Gparted)
2 Put the above zips in Fat32 partition
3 Boot phone to recovery
4 Full wipe/Factory default and cache
5 install Oxygen rom using "install zip from SD card" option
6 Start oxygen rom, and let it boot for first time, also let it settle for few minutes.
7 Reboot to Recovery
8 Install a2sd script using "install zip from SD card " option
9 Reboot phone.
Done
When it boots enter google account and download a Terminal Emulator . To check if all is ok you shoud run
Code:
su
Code:
a2sd diskspace
and you should see the partition recognized as internal with the space used and left.
Job Done. i run this install for 2 days now with no problems at all
Hope i helped,
Dimitris.
Just a few points:
- Did you switch hboot before you flashed the ROM? This would get you even more space. If you're still on stock hboot you're wasting a lot of space on /system partition.
If it's the latest version of Oxygen it should fit onto OxygenR2 hboot with 100MB /system.
- Good you used gparted , ext4 over ext3 would have been slightly faster, not that much of a big deal though.
- Can I ask where you got the A2SD script from and how does it work? Does it move apps and dalvik automatically? Does the internal memory read 'internal + sd-ext', or is it hidden like a lot of A2SD scripts but working as normal?
Just asking, I know you've put a disclaimer at the top, but it's useful just in case for anybody in the future using this. They should be informed exactly what they're flashing and at least in basic terms how and what it does.

this particular A2SD is probably a previous version of darktremmors. i found it on my backups, and uts the one i used when oxygen forums were live. it does move apps automaticaly i am not sure about davik ,and dunno how to check it ,internal reads only internal memory, but works like a charm.. you can make sure it works, by installing tons of apps and checking "a2sd diskspace"
PS sorry for all that info missing, its my first post about roms, i will probably get better while upping my post count

In other words you're s-off, but still on stock hboot. This is wasteful like I said, your /system size is 250MB, but you're using less that ~95MB, wasting over 150MB
If you switch to OxygenR2 hboot, the system size is 100MB, you'll waste only 5MB, and the rest gets converted to extra internal memory...total 332MB instead of 147MB...i.e. more space for apps
Nandroid backup, download hboot from here, recommend to flash using fastboot, nandroid restore.

ext4 is dependent on the A2SD script rather than the ROM. Most will say if they support it. I believe darktremor did support it when I used it on a different phone.

You can manage it using this
You can keep dalvik on internal for now, sometimes better for speed if you don't have a high class sd card.
However, on stock hboot, you only have 147MB for app data and dalvik in this case. It may work now, but if you start to install more apps, on stock hboot you can easily still run out of space quite quickly. 332MB /data partition (internal memory) on OxygenR2 hboot allows for much more space for apps.
A better way to check your memory I always recommend is an app called DiskUsage, you'll be able to browse all your partitions. Install it now, you'll see all the free (wasted) space on your /system partition I mentioned earlier.

That's fine, at least you're trying to help rather than many others who just post unnecessarily just to post in dev threads (unnecessarily). You don't have to up your post count to learn, you get that from reading
