battery app that tests with external battery connected? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Got one of the gorilla gadget battery cases and wondering if there is an app you can set up give you a good idea on battery life with both running. like right now the phone says its been off the charger 0 seconds becasue its connected to the case charger but wondering an app that will be able to give you time with both together beyond using the phones internal clock telling me how long the phone has been on I did reboot the phone after I put it in to give me a more accurate time though if thats the only way so be it.

Maybe it's your battery. Do the battery test spin the battery on a flat surface if it spins it your battery. Also if you just installed the rom give a couple of days so it can settle. There's a app called better battery stats that tells you if you have any wake clocks or a certain app that's draining your battery.

If it does spin you need to get a new battery or it can damage your device.

If your battery is spinning, it's definitely time to replace. Your battery life will start sucking, and will start shutting off at 65%.
Your phone will lose 1% battery per minute also. You just do not want to have to deal with that while waiting for your new battery.
If you have TEP, take it to a repair center and see if they will give you a new one. If not buy on eBay.
Don't buy batteries from amazon for $10 or the guy on ebay for that much. I just bought 2 from some guy on ebay selling for 13 dollars and some change. I peeled off Samsung sticker on both old swollen battery and the new one and that guy had the real deal. Make sure you look at all negative feedback if you go that route of buying replacement.
Yeah sometimes you get lucky and get a 1900 mah battery instead of 1800 mah.

I used to think it was GB08, because when I first flashed my phone to GB08 from FL24 I started losing %50 of battery overnight compared to just 1-2% overnight I've had with FL24. But it turned out not to be GB08. Go to your google maps -> settings -> location settings and turn OFF Location Reporting, Locating Sharing, Locatin History etc. Now, charge your phone and leave it overnight and see how much battery juice you have left. My phone on GB08 loses 1-2% of battery for 8 hours of sleep with all the gmaps location crap turned off.

[Q] Battery seems to run hot at times

Hello...I have Battery Booster installed on my Note II, and I notice that during everyday use, I average about 80 degrees F for the battery, but when I use the GPS while driving (both charging and not charging), the battery runs approx 106 degrees F. Battery Booster has a ultility that monitors and displays battery temp. The phone does seem to get very warm during the use of a GPS function. This happens when display is 50-100% setting.
When I'm not using GPS, battery temp seems fine, even when spending long periods of time browsing internet or on conference calls, etc.
Is this something to be concerned about? I love having this as an alternate to my Garmin GPS, as it has more up to date maps and with easy to find destinations via voice, etc.
Thanks!
-Mike-

Sounds like a defective charger. Does it reach the same temperature if you use
A USB port to charge it?

No, it usually went up to 104 just by chagring, now I had a torrent running which can cause overheating lol I df know

Extreme overheat

So I was playing the Simpsons tapped out game tonight, a game that usually taxes my phone to the max when I'm playing it so I only play it before bed plugged into a charger. Recently I dropped ktoonsez kernel since it was way behind CM (no disrespect to KT intended), I had it set to throttle the CPU so it wouldn't get past 55C, which is warm to the touch but not ridiculous. CM has no such built in function.
Tonight my phone kept getting hotter and hotter as I played...and suddenly after about 15 or 20 minutes my phone crashed. I was able to immediately boot up with no issues...and I took a look at the CPU temp, after booting it was at 85C!
Is there something wrong here? I know old AMD PC CPUs can climb up to 100C OK but I've never had my phone this hot. It was almost enough to burn my hand through my otterbox case. I know I can probably find some throttling app, which I plan to do soon, but should I be worried about my phone being able to get this hot?

The battery drains SO FAST!!

Hello xda community. I have Sony Xperia ZL for about 2 years right now. Recently the phone battery became so weird, it shuts down at 90%. Even if the battery is full after like 15-30 it would shuts down and restarts than Fully shuts down and it needs a recharge to boot again. previous to this incident the phone was usually shuts down at about 34-28% but that was way better than this ridicules situation. Please Help.
sounds like you need a new battery, read some of the other top posts in the Q&A section here..
