The tick sound should be in /system/media/audio/ui folder, you can try editing the .ogg file to make it louder.

TP2 destroys custom sounds

I want to use a custom sound for incomin mail. No Problem, copying the file in the windows directory and selecting it in the advanced settings.
This is working for a few times, but then the sound file is corrupted an even soundfiles never played are corrupted.
Can I try any other folder or does anybody know another solution?
does nobody have the same problem?
Solved
Hi. I had also these problems but then I solved my case by noticing that I had to rename my sound files. You can only use small letters with sound file names copied in Windows folder (example: sms.wav => NO SMS.wav). After this I got my custom sounds work fine. I hope this helps you, too.
i have a similar problem. I am using a .wav file in the \windows\rings folder as ringtone. From time to time the ringtone gets reverted to the windows mobile standart one, and i have no clue what causes this. The .wav file itself in my case remains intact. i just have to select it again in settings ->phone.
Try placing your sound files in this folder:
My Device\Application Data\Sounds\

[Q] Where can I find HTC Quietly Brilliant boot sound

Hi there.
Where can I find such boot sound for my DHD? Wanted to try them into those custom ROMs available. I try finding at Youtube but no luck.
Thanks.
The sound is included in the stock bootanimation.zip. You can find it in the Android Revolution HD thread in the second post. As far as I know, that is.
The bootanimation.zip is just the graphics. It is not the sound. The sound is android_audio.mp3
Thanks for the sound. xD

Click to collapse
Hi, I know you have to place android_audio.mp3 in /data/local but I've tried that and have had no success in hearing the sound on boot up. Any ideas?
You should copy it to /system/customize/resource

DSP Manager & Other Sound Enhancer

Guy'z on Creedsrom V2.1 this is the way we can install any other sound enhancer or dsp manager (best choice of mind ) this is from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477873.. or simply this is the steps do we need..
The problem is xloud engine because of it any audio enhancer wont work in creeds v2.1.But u can remove xloud engine.
Before doing this do a backup of your files I'm not responsible if any thing goes wrong.
1.Use any root explorer and mount system as writable.
2.Go to system/app delete audioeffectservice.apk.
3.Go to system/lib/soundfx delete libxloudwrapper.so
4.Go to system/lib and replace libaudioeffect_ini.so file with one i attached(first unzip it them replace with libaudioeffect_ini.so)
5.Go to system and open build.prop with text editor and delete the lines under Xloud engine(4 lines till bravia engine) then save it and do a full reboot.
now Xloud engine should be removed and all audio enhancers should work.
TESTED ON MY LITTLE SGY.. ^_^

[Q] Volume Adjust Sound

Does anyone know if there is a file you can remove to get rid of the volume adjust sound if the option is not included in a ROM to disable it?
i tried doing a google search and didn't come up with much. on some roms there is a file or two named volume?.ogg that you might be able to delete or rename in the system/media/ui folder, but some roms don't have those files, or any .ogg files related to volume adjust sounds in the media folder. no one knows where i could find them? the rom in question is Elemental 4.2.2, but i've seen other roms that did not have a way to get rid of it.
i dont recall the "volume adjusting".ogg file in system\media but if the related .ogg file isnt there and your rom doesnt have that option either; it would seem that theres no alternative... from my knowledge anyway.
i'm just wondering because there has to be a file somewhere that controls that sound. i mean, how do devs turn it off when they give you the option in the rom to disable it? unless you have to decompile the rom first instead of finding it with a file explorer, but somehow i think that isn't the case.

Change user interface sounds

This is a simple procedure to change default notification sounds like email pop up, touch interface sound, boot , shutdown, lock, camera shutter, keyboard sounds etc for GALAXY GRAND DUOS
Phone needs to be rooted...
Download root explorer or root browser. Go to system>>media>>audio>>ui
You will find all ogg audio files there..Each one for different task...
For example KeypressSpacebar.ogg is the sound file for pressing spacebar in keyboard. You can replace the default one to any sound file or music file of your choice in the folder but make sure to rename the replaced file to same KeypressSpacebar.ogg . Same method applies to boot sound, shutdown etc. The audio file should only be in ogg format. . There are lots of online ogg converters to do this. Before doing all this pls take a backup of the ui folder just incase u mess it up..
i know this is very simple but i guess it would be useful esp to change that annoying touch sound on jb..
Just incase if anybody wants default click ics sound for touch..Here it is ...
Rename the file as TW_Touch.ogg and replace the default TW_Touch.ogg in the ui folder.. Reboot the phone..
Press Thanks if it helped
