Seems we are only able to place 25 apps in a folder. I'm looking for a way to remove that restriction and/or a way to put folders in folders.

Will try that in the future. Right now I'm still learning my way around android, having been an Apple guy for the last 4 years. Was hoping to find some sort of simple tweak that would break the 25 app limit.
How are you able to even make folders ?
My previous ICS running HTC Vivid unmodded/rooted would just let you have one if you help down on the any screen and it was an option.

Never mind... I googled it. A simple hold on any app and drag it onto another.
Beautiful.

I looked. There aren't any. There are apps like folder organizer that will break the limit but I don't really care for that program. Instead, I use nova launcher.

Who is keeping their galaxy nexus and who is buying the s3 please share. And would galaxy nexus get some of the features that is on s3 ? I wonder if any devs will do it ?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
In my opinion the Galaxy Nexus Has better android experience, and at the moment I don't think we need quad-core. you can find some apk of the features of the GS3 , also with the touchwiz (that I don't like)in the forum.
Nah, I love my Nexus.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I love it also but lately I had been having problems with charging it. It doesn't charge sometimes and sometimes it does but it charges if you have the phone off so weird

I haven't decided yet.
pre-ordered the S3. I feel that i'll cycle between both devices and find out which one is better for me nowadays. I find that the camera on the GNex isn't as good I thought it was :/ but then again its still a phone camera sensor. That being said, I'll have both phones for use and cherish each one
If I had the spare money, I'd get the SGS3 too. That way, I'd be able to switch back and forth between the two. Alas, I don't. I'm quite content with my Galaxy Nexus, though.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
the prize difference is just to damn high, apart from the S3 being a step back in terms of android 4.0 (hardware keys, no multitasking key, menu key).
i know that they want to keep it consistent with the old galaxy people but HTC managed to do the change at least half way through.
also, the new nexus phone(s) are coming up pretty soon, so why would you give up nexus advantages for a non nexus phone
I won't exchange and give extra to get the s3. I'd get it if I had some extra cash so that I can keep both.
Keep my Nexus. Samsung is starting to fail.

Keeping nexus. S3 is nice but not good enough to replace nexus

The S3 is just another Samsung phone but the nexus is a true Google phone.
no chance I will ever buy another non-true Google Phone....

Just wondering if anyone knows away to make this happen. Have been searching for the past week so figured I would start a thread. Love this feature on my Optimus G and is the main reason I am not using my Note 2 right now. Use it a lot and direct mirroring isn't cutting it for me
Guessing this isn't possible. Would be awesome to have. Really surprised the Note 10.1 doesn't have this either
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
Can't believe I am the only one that cares about this lol. Oh well maybe with the Note 3
Not really sure what you are talking about. What exactly is dual play?
What are you refering to? Multiwindow two games at once?

Oh its like dual screens on a pc. What do you put on your big screen and then use your phone for?
Sent from GN2 using XDA app
Its an awesome feature I think. Once connected to the tv. You can direct mirror like on the Note but say you get a text. You can go and answer it while the movie still plays.
I actually use this on trips. My phone is like my dvd player. But right now on the Notes 2 and 10.1. Once movie is playing you cant leave it without having the movie stop and it direct mirror your phone

I got an upgrade with my carrier right now and I am torn as to which phone I wanna go with and just came across the LG Optimus Pro G, seems like a great phone but I'd like some opinions from people who actually own it if you like it better than the Samsung galaxy S4 or the note 2. Any feedback is greatly appreciate, thanks.

The gpro is a good phone. If ur cool staying stock rooted. If you want roms go for the s4 or note2.
This guy's testimonial here might make you consider going for the OG Pro. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294189
Ok heres my unbiased opinion, my girl friend has S4 and i have the OGP and guess what? We showed our phones to our friends and they prefer the OGP! Because the display is more natural and more brighter unlike the S4, and the UI looks cartoonist on S4. Plus the battery is better than S4. What amazed me is the lagfree of OGp, there is noooo lag i mean literally no lag. Plus ogp has cool features too that I really like, if you heard about the gosms app for android that has this cool pop up window everytime you get a message, the Ogp has this feature on its stock messanger too!
Btw my previous 2 phones was samsung infuse and galaxy s3, just to let you know

Thanks guys, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the LG, I've been looking at the S4 and the Optimus all day review after review plus coming back to here to see the posts and I'm sold, not to mention AT&T has it for $99 for the 32gb as opposed to the S4 for $250 for the 32gb. I do like the S4's camera features and the multitasking but I can also do without it. Thank for your help.

Fact is this phone is great. Beats the hell out of the S4 IMHO. But beware if speaker phone calls are important to you lol. Other than that truthfully this is overall the best on the market today and then when you factor in for price its just mind blowing.
Ogp all the way! Best phone out there. If you want a "me too" phone, get the sg4. If you want the best which not many have, get the ogp

I actually was just peeking around in the development section and saw the freegee post, what exactly is it? Since I'm definitely getting this phone I'd like to learn more about this. I'm use to the custom ROMs having an Asus Tablet and flashing them on there.

Freegee is just Loki and cwm all rolled into one. Its a boot loader bypass that will allow for flashing custom ROMs. however i am wondering if staying on an stock based ROM and then doing an update may play all kinds of hell with your phone if I'm looking at it right. I'm not 100% on that though. I'm more of a windows closet hacker so looking through this I could easily be misunderstanding.
On another note im dang sure your used to flashing with a tf300! You gotta flash the snot out ta that tab to get her running right. Good when you get it though.
If you're meaning a stock OTA update, then it's not even possible since you'd have to be rooted to use freegee and the OTA won't work if you're rooted. On the other hand of you mean a custom rom update then I wouldn't have a clue since we don't have any yet.
In order to return to stock you'd need to use lgpnst I think it is. This will put you at the bare OTA upgradable stock.

You can also just lg flashtool to the update that thecubed provided. Then root and freegee.

The S4 had the worst lag out of all the flagship this year ( maybe Xperia Z was worse) but now it is fixed.
I have a S4 and a G Pro at home!
G Pro won my heart! The Optimus's UI is so good and rich in features and customization.

Im wondering first, is it worth it overall to buy the 2013 over the 2012. I know the specs are better, but the cost differential is rather large for such small feature changes. Is the display really all that great compared to the old one? Would it just be better to get a high capacity nexus 2012?
Also, what is this FLO i see on all the dev threads? When i was using my nexus 7 2012 we were doing the whole F2FS file system, is that something thats going to happen on the nexus 7 2013? or is it something that isnt even needed?
Yes, having owned both, it's worth the upgrade. FLO is the lay from the progressive commercials

The screen alone makes it worth it! It is a lot faster overall and it just generally feels nicer! I also have owned both and the screen is a lot better, A LOT

I just can't see a thread dedicated to using a Samsung Galaxy tablet as a everyday phone?
I have seen on other sites people using their Tab 3 10.1 or Note 8 as primary cell phones but I really need to ask you experts.
Can you tell me what tablets will accept an ATT card and work as a phone?
Thanks a bunch...
Tom
no tablet on the tab 3 line has phone/text radio. however if you have enough data you could use mo+ or talkatone for phone service

Thanks, I just purchased a Tab 4 10.1 and rooted it.
I did read in an article that was putting down using tablets as phones that one of the guys was using a Samsung Tablet as a phone but is said that he put his sim card in it and I have not seen a Samsung Tablet that lets you open the back (not counting my Note 3)...
Thanks for the info and now I need to work on ERick to make an Alliance ROM for this..., LOL
Tom
No the international version of these tabs all work as phones. At least the 7" & the 8".
I have been using the T211 on T-Mo as an everyday phone. It should work with AT&T as well.
