Just wondering if anyone knows away to make this happen. Have been searching for the past week so figured I would start a thread. Love this feature on my Optimus G and is the main reason I am not using my Note 2 right now. Use it a lot and direct mirroring isn't cutting it for me
Guessing this isn't possible. Would be awesome to have. Really surprised the Note 10.1 doesn't have this either

Can't believe I am the only one that cares about this lol. Oh well maybe with the Note 3
Not really sure what you are talking about. What exactly is dual play?
What are you refering to? Multiwindow two games at once?

Oh its like dual screens on a pc. What do you put on your big screen and then use your phone for?
Sent from GN2 using XDA app
Its an awesome feature I think. Once connected to the tv. You can direct mirror like on the Note but say you get a text. You can go and answer it while the movie still plays.
I actually use this on trips. My phone is like my dvd player. But right now on the Notes 2 and 10.1. Once movie is playing you cant leave it without having the movie stop and it direct mirror your phone

Who is keeping their galaxy nexus and who is buying the s3 please share. And would galaxy nexus get some of the features that is on s3 ? I wonder if any devs will do it ?

In my opinion the Galaxy Nexus Has better android experience, and at the moment I don't think we need quad-core. you can find some apk of the features of the GS3 , also with the touchwiz (that I don't like)in the forum.
Nah, I love my Nexus.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I love it also but lately I had been having problems with charging it. It doesn't charge sometimes and sometimes it does but it charges if you have the phone off so weird

I haven't decided yet.
pre-ordered the S3. I feel that i'll cycle between both devices and find out which one is better for me nowadays. I find that the camera on the GNex isn't as good I thought it was :/ but then again its still a phone camera sensor. That being said, I'll have both phones for use and cherish each one
If I had the spare money, I'd get the SGS3 too. That way, I'd be able to switch back and forth between the two. Alas, I don't. I'm quite content with my Galaxy Nexus, though.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
the prize difference is just to damn high, apart from the S3 being a step back in terms of android 4.0 (hardware keys, no multitasking key, menu key).
i know that they want to keep it consistent with the old galaxy people but HTC managed to do the change at least half way through.
also, the new nexus phone(s) are coming up pretty soon, so why would you give up nexus advantages for a non nexus phone
I won't exchange and give extra to get the s3. I'd get it if I had some extra cash so that I can keep both.
Keep my Nexus. Samsung is starting to fail.

Keeping nexus. S3 is nice but not good enough to replace nexus

The S3 is just another Samsung phone but the nexus is a true Google phone.
no chance I will ever buy another non-true Google Phone....

I'm looking for the best document scanning app for our Galaxy Nexus phones
I'm currently using CamScanner, but I'd like to see some other options that are focused on documents. OCR, clearer document creation, etc

I've also been looking for a good scanner app but havent really found or tried any that really satisfied me here is a search from play store, unfortunately doesn't seem to be a large offering of scanner apps
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=scanner+pdf&c=apps
I haven't really tried it, but give it a try

The original poster said he is already using that....
I've tried Handy Scanner and CamScanner and I think they are both decent apps but CamScanner is a little better in my opinion.
Only one I found that still has all the good features, no watermarks and is free is ScanToPDF Free. Definitely worth checking out.
Can Scanner here. Not the best app but does what I need.
Camscanner.
good day.

Am I just missing something? Today is the 23rd and I can't seem to find any solid info about why I can't find it on the Play Store. I'm assuming it would be available for the Nexus 4 right? Also don't see it on Nexus 7...WTH? Been looking for it all day...

So when they say release date on October 23rd they don't mean during normal business hours or even earlier in the day but some random time in the evening. Grrr. Guess I'll have to wait longer.. Charging my Nexus 7.. LOL.

Tegra graphics for dead trigger 2
I'm sure most of you know of the ultra high graphics mod for the first game but I just found a Ultra High Graphics Mod for Dead Trigger 2, more info & downloads here, I haven't tested it yet
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46765216
Does the game always require an internet connection to be played?
Its out now... Playing
I have only "High" and "low" graphics settings :/
How i can unlock ultra high?
It lags on ultrahigh graphics. But it is comprehensible I think.
---------- Post added at 05:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:30 PM ----------
Just tested with a SGS3 and there is no almost lag.......

So, after playing the game for a couple days I have to admit I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be. It's allot like the first one. Same basic two or three missions collect, defend, attack. The graphics are better but it's the same basic premise. Similar guns, similar enemies with a couple variations. The overall game play is still much the same, very boxy, very enclosed. Nothing open world like Left For Dead. I like some of the options but when it comes to all the weapon making and upgrading it just kinda complicates things to get to the same end result from the first game. I dunno. The verdict is still out. :screwy:

yeah... bit rubbish on that part. due to the fact that it will consume more power and memory. offline mode would be nice.

its very smooth on my n4. and its even very smooth when im only running two cores at 1026mhz! what rom/kernel are you running???
Im wondering first, is it worth it overall to buy the 2013 over the 2012. I know the specs are better, but the cost differential is rather large for such small feature changes. Is the display really all that great compared to the old one? Would it just be better to get a high capacity nexus 2012?
Also, what is this FLO i see on all the dev threads? When i was using my nexus 7 2012 we were doing the whole F2FS file system, is that something thats going to happen on the nexus 7 2013? or is it something that isnt even needed?
Yes, having owned both, it's worth the upgrade. FLO is the lay from the progressive commercials

The screen alone makes it worth it! It is a lot faster overall and it just generally feels nicer! I also have owned both and the screen is a lot better, A LOT

I just can't see a thread dedicated to using a Samsung Galaxy tablet as a everyday phone?
I have seen on other sites people using their Tab 3 10.1 or Note 8 as primary cell phones but I really need to ask you experts.
Can you tell me what tablets will accept an ATT card and work as a phone?
Thanks a bunch...
Tom
no tablet on the tab 3 line has phone/text radio. however if you have enough data you could use mo+ or talkatone for phone service

Thanks, I just purchased a Tab 4 10.1 and rooted it.
I did read in an article that was putting down using tablets as phones that one of the guys was using a Samsung Tablet as a phone but is said that he put his sim card in it and I have not seen a Samsung Tablet that lets you open the back (not counting my Note 3)...
Thanks for the info and now I need to work on ERick to make an Alliance ROM for this..., LOL
Tom
No the international version of these tabs all work as phones. At least the 7" & the 8".
I have been using the T211 on T-Mo as an everyday phone. It should work with AT&T as well.
