Did you wipe data. ..and factory reset the device prior to boot ??
For now. ..
Wipe dalvik cache from recovery. ..and fix permissions for the device as well. .
CM and it's MIUI variant almost always require full cache and data wipes. ..accompanied by permission repairs prior to initial boot...at least for me. ..
I just flashed CM a few hours ago...and had issues until performance of the above steps. ..
Good luck. ..g

Bootloop after Jedi Mind Trick 3 Install
Performed a full system wipe - Factory Reset/Data Wipe, format /system, Wipe Dalvik Cache - using CWM. Flashed ROM, Fixed Permissions, then rebooted. Waited 10 minutes (actually more like 20 minutes) but was stuck in a bootloop. The loading bar almost completely fills in each time (only a small fraction - i.e. about 0.5mm - remains unfilled) before the reboot occurs automatically. I read else where on the SGH-T989 forum of similar problems with 2.0. Someone said that wiping the data caches before AND after flashing the ROM always works for them. I assume they mean format /data cache and Wipe Dalvik Cache after flashing ROM but I'm not sure. Anyone have any experience here?

Don't hijack ariana's thread.
If you used anything but jamisons wipes that's your problem.

Thanks. I found the darkside wipe files and downloaded them. Then I read elsewhere that if you have the up-to-date CWM version (6 or later), it will do the same thing accomplished by the darkside wipes. Do you know if this is a fact? Thanks again.

It may work as long as you choose to not wipe the preload. I wouldn't chance it tho...just use jamisons wipes.

Yesterday I flashed CyanogenMod 10.1.2 into my HTC One X endeavoru. Everything was working just fine but today I noticed that my internet connection (the mobile data one) is not working even if my phone does connect to the carrier's network. I have ClockWorkMod recovery 5.8.4.0
I have tried some things like resetting the phone, wiping the Dalvik cache, checking that Mobile Data is turned on everywhere and so. I have not flashed Cyanogen again or made a factory reset yet.
What can I do?
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

did you fastboot erase cache after flashing the boot image? if so try flashing the boot.img again and fastboot erasing cache after, or flash a different kernel see if that makes a difference

Just tried it, I lost the connection. Had to create another APN and restart the device. I believe it also depends on some other factors like the carrier, device, CM version and so on.
Oops I am sorry it doesn't work for you. I always do it after flashing new ROM, and it always works

Hi and help! I haven't a clue what happened but all of a sudden I'm getting Android.Com.Phone Stopped working message over and over again. The only way to stop it is to turn off network data, clear all app preferences, boot into recovery then wipe delvik and wipe cache. After that I can turn network data back on. But it starts doing at again after an hour or so. It happens on all roms (cm, carbon, slim bean to name a few) except stock based roms.
Could it be because the above listed roms are 4.3 and stock based roms are 4.1.2? How do I fix this?

I'm getting this too and pasted a logcat in CM 10.2 thread. Hopefully the powers that be can fix soon. You might have to go back to a previous AOSP nightly/build.
I think that it's something wit the Data.
if you turn data off it should stop.
Yeah turning off data does stop it but when I'm on the road I want data. With out data I might as well go get an old flip phone lol.
Hoping to find a permanent fix.

Hi guys, I got a Telus S3 i747m, Running Slimkat stable 6.0 with the latest Twrp recovery, with the MK5 modem and bootloader. I flashed the latest kt747 kernel for aosp , and i cant get ktweaker app to work. It always says it has stopped. Even if i reboot the phone and dont open ktweaker, it says it has stopped. The kernel does show in the about phone section.
I have tried clean installing everything over again multiple times(wiping internal/cache/dalvik/system/data), to no success. Any ideas?
Greatly appreciate the help!
Cheers!
I also have this issue. Just clear data from the settings and you should be good.
You should make a profile so you don't have to load the same setting everytime you clear.

Delete the folder manually.
If that doesn't work, manually give it root (or force root).

I also have the same issue for the first time. I tried to FC, clean, and reset to default, as well as, deleting the folder. None of that worked. I use the latest AOKP KitKat 4.4.4 6-28-2014 release with latest 7-3-2014 KT747 Kernel.
I wonder if it occured because I couldn't clean/wipe ART. TWRP only allowed me to wipe/clean Dalvik, but no ART, which I assumed are in 2 different locations, requiring specific type of wiping.
How do I give it root? Can it be done with SManager?

ART is experimental and shouldn't be ran other than for testing purpose.
As for giving it root, you should be able to do so in SuperSU.
Hello.
I installed Cyanogen 10 MMB on my Samsung Gio and everythink works fine except one thing :

That should be all right.
This is a touchy subject because some agree, while others disagree, but before installing a new ROM I will wipe everything including system folder before installing ROM and then I will factory reset before reboot.
I run MMB CM7.2 and I've found if I don't factory reset after installation I hit little annoying bugs. It could be because you should always do it or my phone (I don't know).
I do know that developers used to say to factory reset before and after installation but now they say only before.
This is the only help I can offer on this subject as I don't run CM10.

Thank you, it was very helpful
I will try to factory reset, again, and wipe dalvik cache before reinstall this ROM. Maybe you can tell me wich one you are using ? Can I install every ROM with this CWM ? I did not use a "ext4 file formater" before installing, do I have to ?
Can I install this : cm10.1_gio.maclaw.20130908
over this : cm-10.0.5-MMB_JB-gio
using this : CWM_6.0.5.3_Gio
?
Do I have to run a ext4 program before installing ? wich one ?
