Yesterday I flashed CyanogenMod 10.1.2 into my HTC One X endeavoru. Everything was working just fine but today I noticed that my internet connection (the mobile data one) is not working even if my phone does connect to the carrier's network. I have ClockWorkMod recovery 5.8.4.0
I have tried some things like resetting the phone, wiping the Dalvik cache, checking that Mobile Data is turned on everywhere and so. I have not flashed Cyanogen again or made a factory reset yet.
What can I do?
Hope someone can help me. Thanks.

did you fastboot erase cache after flashing the boot image? if so try flashing the boot.img again and fastboot erasing cache after, or flash a different kernel see if that makes a difference

This worked, thanks a lot. I googled my carrier's APN settings.
APNs --> press menu --> reset to default works for me

Just tried it, I lost the connection. Had to create another APN and restart the device. I believe it also depends on some other factors like the carrier, device, CM version and so on.
Oops I am sorry it doesn't work for you. I always do it after flashing new ROM, and it always works

Installed work apps needed, etc
Restart and Shutdown all worked fine at this point
Followed instructions to put CWM recovery on, installed 3.0.3.2 SU and rooted
Still on Stock Telus ROM and Kernal
Now when I try to Shutdown or Reboot it simply hangs
Have tried going from CWM 5.0.0.7 to latest 5.0.2.7 (TMobile from CWM website) and did not work
Tried using TWRP as others having the same issue said this fixed it and did not work
Hesitating factory reset
Has anyone else had this issue and is there a known fix?
Do cache wipe and fix permission with darkx wipe
You can find it in the development forum

Thanks for the response. Do you mean the script provided here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477955
It reads as a full wipe. From what you mentioned it may be a cache and permission one only?
Thanks

This started happening a while ago (app crashing) on a different rom, and since then I've tried the following with no success;
New rom
New kernel
Full wipe
New gapps (not required on my current rom)
relocked and unlocked bootloader, upgraded from 0.95 to 1.28
Nothing seems to be working on any rom, and now I have just got out of a battery bootloader bootloop the past couple days my phone seems also unable to handle connections; I supposedly have signal however I receive no texts, data connection isn't working as my gmail account has not been synced (so I have no contacts etc) and wifi crashes when I turn it on.
I'm starting to worry this may be a hardware fault! However considering I have unlocked my bootloader I won't be able to return it under warranty! Can you suggest anything else to try? I haven't fully wiped my whole storage (sd card and all) is that an option to try?
Thanks for any help I can get
bump, really stuck here
If you you are using an AOSP Rom a special kernel is required for the new HBoot. Or has this happened on the old HBoot too? If so a hard reset might solve the problem.

Yeah I am using an AOSP rom but it happened on HBOOT 0.95 and still on 1.28. Is that a factory reset from the bootloader? Also which kernel is it? I just used the boot.img included in the zip
You can do it from the bootloader. Essentially its just wiping everything including the sd storage. I dont have much time to look for it right now because im working. But if you use the search function you should find it have you tried to redownload the rom?

This is the rom I'm using atm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1784185 (CM is based on AOSP right?)
and is this the kernel you're talking about? http://htcfanboys.com/download/seadersn/?action=view&file=14552 ? However don't I also
need the zip to flash in CWM?
Yes it is an AOSP Rom, but you dont need the the modified kernel because tripnraver solved the problem in his kernels and Rom. Since you have the problem on other ROMs too i would suggest to perform a hard reset and see if the problem still exists. Just backup everything and reflash Rom.

I might try this AOKP rom that I used before, according to the OP there is a specific boot.img you must use for HBOOT 1.28, so I've downloaded that to and when I get home I'll give it a try. It says a full wipe is required, does that just mean cache/dalvik/wipe in CWM or do I need to run the SuperWipe.zip?

Sorry I just saw this reply, I'll try a factory reset before I try the other rom, cheers
I cant factory reset, everytime I do it just goes into CWM?
I just formatted each partition separately in CWM, re installed etc and pretty much everything seems to be back up and running However I am still having the SMS crash issue :S even though my whole SD card is wiped
At least the rest is working still weird though. Does that happen with any sms app?

What i Have To Do
How is it not working? You can't acces wifi settings? Scanning doesn't result anything? You can connect but internet still doesn't work? Which kernel are you using?
Try re flashing this way....
Assuming you did a backup before... (and was on pac18)
Wipe data factory reset
Wipe cache
Wipe dvalik
Format system
Flash rom
Fix permissions
Reboot up to start screen (as if it is first loaded screen)
Hold volume up and power to reboot into recovery.
Advanced restore the data only from your backup.
Wipe cache and dvalik again
Reboot
(will probably work from just backing up what you have now)

That's very strange. Ask the devs on the actual pax thread itself. Any times I've seen wifi problems its that wifi itself won't turn on at all. But you're saying it does turn on fine. But just won't find anything

I'd say do a nandroid backup from recovery so you'll have it booting up again. If you have a backup that is.
Then either flash or copy the files don't think you have to do both. And its usually safer to flash as you'll gett the right permission on the files.

Then just do one, like flash my zip and reboot rather than do it all at once

Did you wipe data. ..and factory reset the device prior to boot ??
For now. ..
Wipe dalvik cache from recovery. ..and fix permissions for the device as well. .
CM and it's MIUI variant almost always require full cache and data wipes. ..accompanied by permission repairs prior to initial boot...at least for me. ..
I just flashed CM a few hours ago...and had issues until performance of the above steps. ..
Good luck. ..g

That should be all right.
This is a touchy subject because some agree, while others disagree, but before installing a new ROM I will wipe everything including system folder before installing ROM and then I will factory reset before reboot.
I run MMB CM7.2 and I've found if I don't factory reset after installation I hit little annoying bugs. It could be because you should always do it or my phone (I don't know).
I do know that developers used to say to factory reset before and after installation but now they say only before.
This is the only help I can offer on this subject as I don't run CM10.

Thank you, it was very helpful
I will try to factory reset, again, and wipe dalvik cache before reinstall this ROM. Maybe you can tell me wich one you are using ? Can I install every ROM with this CWM ? I did not use a "ext4 file formater" before installing, do I have to ?
Can I install this : cm10.1_gio.maclaw.20130908
over this : cm-10.0.5-MMB_JB-gio
using this : CWM_6.0.5.3_Gio
?
Do I have to run a ext4 program before installing ? wich one ?
