Hi and help! I haven't a clue what happened but all of a sudden I'm getting Android.Com.Phone Stopped working message over and over again. The only way to stop it is to turn off network data, clear all app preferences, boot into recovery then wipe delvik and wipe cache. After that I can turn network data back on. But it starts doing at again after an hour or so. It happens on all roms (cm, carbon, slim bean to name a few) except stock based roms.
Could it be because the above listed roms are 4.3 and stock based roms are 4.1.2? How do I fix this?

I'm getting this too and pasted a logcat in CM 10.2 thread. Hopefully the powers that be can fix soon. You might have to go back to a previous AOSP nightly/build.
I think that it's something wit the Data.
if you turn data off it should stop.
Yeah turning off data does stop it but when I'm on the road I want data. With out data I might as well go get an old flip phone lol.
Hoping to find a permanent fix.

Hi everyone. What's up? That sounds fun. The WiFi on my Gnex, Toro, isn't working. I've flashed CM10 night lies, kang night lies, and AOSP, and it didn't work. The WiFi doesn't turn on, it stays stuck st "WiFi is turning on" or goes back to off. I'm convinced its a hardware issue, and I will be requesting a warranty replacement tomorrow, but I'd prefer a software solution, as I wouldn't have to get another device. I like my baby.

Ensure you have a clean flash of the custom rom instead of dirty flash. Clean flash steps are below:
1) Wipe Data
2) Wipe Cache
3) Wipe Dalvik cache (In advance mode)
4) Install custom rom
5) Install Gapps
6) Reboot.
As for WIFI signal, it is related to baseband version. To know more which one is suitable to you, then read the link below:

I had flashed every AOSP Rom available in hopes of finding one with everything I need fully functional. Unfortunately, I had no luck. After returning to TW based Roms I cant seem to get GPS to lock on. I've flashed Slim Rom & Darth Stalker both multiple times with no luck? I've cleared cache, dalvik, and fixed permissions numerous times. I've force stopped Maps, cleared app data & cache from the application manager. I've done complete wipes of the system, internal storage, factory resets, and formatted data but still GPS continues searching for location. Any help would be appreciated. I'm thinking my last resort may be to odin back to stock, but I'm trying to avoid the hassle if possible.
I've read this before and people are stating that odin is the main option.

Hello,
I'm sorry if this is a repost of any sort . I am currently running a 4.1.2 rom and as it turns out any 4.1.2 rom that I run will have a functioning camera for my phone. However whenever I try to flash any 4.2 .2 rom on my phone the camera ceases to run correctly. I'm flashing the rom with clockworkmod touch and I have also tried flashing a camera fix I found on xda. I have even tried using third party camera apps, but those don't work either. Can anyone try to point me in the right direction or even try to help me troubleshoot this thing??
Thanks in advance

i'll begin with the question of what did you wipe before you flashed 4.2.2 and what ROM/release have you tried flashing?
Flash to factory stock and if ur camera still doesn't work it must logically be a hardware issue. Please guys correct me if I'm wrong

I had just updated cwm to the latest touch version about a month ago. After that I was still on stock TW 4.1.1. Then, I tried flashing a 4.2.2 jellybam v7.6 and the camera stopped working so I flashed back to stock and the camera worked fine. I then tried flashing to the latest realease of CM 10.1 nightly
about 3 weeks ago but the camera didnt work so I flashed to 4.1.2 CSROM v1.4 then 1.5 and the camera worked fine. So I then tried CM10.0 4.1.2 and the camera still worked so last night I flashed to the latest CM nightly and the camera stopped working. Any thoughts?

I did and it still works. So it can't be a hardware issue. It has to do with how my phone flashes the software because I haven't seen anyone else having the same issues with the ROMS that I have been flashing.

if the camera stopped working simply from updating your current ROM to the latest release than a wipe and reflash could possibly have ironed out this issue. this is assuming you dirty flashed the update. we all do that, but in the event things dont funtion properly afterwards, a wipe is required.

Well before I flashed any rom I always wiped all user data, I wiped the cache and dalvik cache and in some cases I even formatted the system in advanced settings. In every case the camera never worked.

i would back everything up. you have a working nandroid to fall back on?
then i would fully wipe the device and start over. you seem to be having problems with 4.2.2, not specifically aosp. it appears aosp and touchwiz 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 are working for you. correct? when transitioning android versions, its basically required to wipe everything in order to avoid issues. make sure you have the latest gapps for 4.2.2. that may be your problem right there.
in the event you choose to wipe and reflash a 4.2.2 rom,
- backup your files
- have a nandroid, the rom you want and gapps on a micro sd card.
- boot into recovery
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvik
- format /system
- format /data + media
- flash rom from external sd card
- flash gapps from external sd card
- reboot and let your phone sit a few minutes then reboot again. check it out.
you wont get any ROM support from devs on your issues until you come from a complete wipe. a hassle to set everything up again but it will likely be your fix. if not, we can go a different direction.
Alright I'll try this now. I will keep you updated

Alright I followed all of the above steps and my phone camera still isnt working. For clarification, gallery app works but when I actually try to use the camera I get a "Camera Error - Cannot connect to camera " popup window with an okay button below it.

ROM: cm-10.1-20130521-NIGHTLY-d2att
Gapps: gapps-jb-20130301-signed
EDIT: The problem described in the post#11 has always been the case
i would do 1 of 2 things: flash this 4.2 camera zip in recovery and see if that camera and gallery work or flash a different 4.2.2 ROM like tasks. this will help determine if its just cm10.1 thats giving you grief.
if you download and flash the 4.2 camera, just wipe cache, dalvik and flash the zip. in the event you get a freeze up when taking a picture with auto-focus, you have to set the scene to "Action" mode.

Alright so I ended moving the gallery, then flashing the new camera app in CWM then wiped the cache and dalvik. No luck, so I tried restarting my phone, fixing permissions, and nothing worked. I then full wiped my phone and flashed Vanilla Rootbox, tested camera and it didnt work. It still said "Camera Error- Can't connect to camera" . . I flashed the camera zip provided followed by a cache and dalvik wipe but I got the same message. Following the above steps I did the exact same thing with AOKP and the exact same thing happened.
Is it possible that my phone just can't support 4.2.2?

Did you wipe data. ..and factory reset the device prior to boot ??
For now. ..
Wipe dalvik cache from recovery. ..and fix permissions for the device as well. .
CM and it's MIUI variant almost always require full cache and data wipes. ..accompanied by permission repairs prior to initial boot...at least for me. ..
I just flashed CM a few hours ago...and had issues until performance of the above steps. ..
Good luck. ..g

galaxy note 2 running android 4.4.2 stock rom, wifi bluetooth and hotspot not working properly. When i turn wifi or bluetooth on , it tries to turn on but does not turn on and gets back to off. While trying to turn on hotspot it says error. But sometimes when i try pulling out the battery directly and then turning on the phone, some times not always, they start working normally for sometime, but in a while they turn off automatically and same problem occurs. Please Help!
Thats wierd,on stock rom it should be all working, did you ever flashed something else than stock rom?
Also, not to loose all data make yourself backup with kies, and perform cache clean up from the stock recovery,if that does not help ,than do factory reset and see if that helps.
