Hi TiagoRigueto,
This is a tough call. All JB work is "ALPHA" at the moment.
That means it's amazing that the JB roms are stable enough for daily use.
It also means that the kernels (and roms) are changing from week-to-week.
The best you can do is look for the patches by "besttt" (hehe).
He's very active in all the JB forums. His patches make the roms stable for daily use.
But don't forget the developers that get us the roms in the 1st place. In fact besttt works with them to know what's happening and to come up with fixes for us.
So (until we get official releases) we come back to what works well for you for now.
You just have to read a lot - backup your current stuff, and then take a chance...
Once you find a combination that works don't forget to back it up.
Then you can always do a restore if you tried something new, and didn't like it...
Good luck.
i get youtube reboots on all of those kernel
cm10 fxp140
Definitely is Stock Kernel. Stable and Smooth

arc s
Hi guys!
First of all i hope i posted in the right section. A friend asked me to upgrade his Arc S to android 4.1+ because he wants a much smoother ROM than his 4.0.4 stock. I told him android 4.1+ has project butter, and this could help him really much, but i have some questions before flashing him the (probably Cyanogenmod 10) ROM:
Which are the known bugs of this ROM?
Is project butter fully working? (Also vSync? - This mean you have a fully working kernel 3.0)
Locking back bootloader, gives you back the warranty too?
I didn't find the answers to the first 2 questions, btw for the third one i'm a bit confused.. Thanks in advice!
EDIT: I also need the codename of the ArcS and would know if "FXP206" is the build number.. Thanks!
HDMI is not working on CM10
some restarts and memory leaks (may be fixed already, I'm not using CM10 since video recording in 720p is disabled)
camera is worse than stock one
AFAIK project butter is working, but we are still on 2.6.X kernel
Codename for Arc/Arc S is Anzu

Thank you! Is kernel 3.0 in development? Do you think the ROM isn't still good for daily use?
Inviato dal mio Galaxy S Plus i9001 JB
There's kernel 3.4 in development, but don't expect it very soon.
I can't really say is it good for daily use now, as last version I used was FXP151 (14/12/12).
I switched back to ICS-based ROM because FXP decided to remove 720p recording to improve smoothness andalso I was tired of random reboots and crashing games.

Mhmm okay! Thanks again! I will wait for someone who tried the latest version or a newer one. I don't want to void the warranty if I'm nor sure the result is good!

Im on the latest CM10 nightly build, the overall experience is great apart from HDMI(which will never work till sony release sources for it) most things works flawlessly. And dont worry its as stable as stock now thanks to the great devs.
For me, going back to stock ICS feels like a serious downgrade.
If you dont care much about 720p video recording and slightly less image quality from the camera then i recommend you to make the switch

ICS roms for p350 are still in beta condition due to our device's hardware restrictions,, but our hard-working devs are trying their best to make a fully stable rom. Try to report bugs on respective threads so that devs can rectify it.
Btw, you can try low memory roms like Minicm10, Oxygen ICS etc. ^_^
Don't say thanks, just press it...!!!

But about the kernal panic is it due to the processor or the rom ?
Probably a driver issue... Not sure, it panics even when you download anything past 1.3 MB in size...

I think the most stable ICS rom is this, but the battery life isn't very good.

Hello to everyone. I'm on XZX2, but i think that it is very slow, not laggy, but slow. I tried both of cm 9 and cm10, but never cm 10.1
My questions are:
1) What bugs are in CM10 and what bugs are in CM10.1? (Like HDMI, 1080p video recording, FM Radio..)
2) I can use nova kernel 1.6 with cm10, but Can I use its with CM 10.1?
3) I love cm10.1's camera app, what rom (FXP, Cyano, Opensemc...) do you suggest to me?
Thank you all.

ps: i know that in the end of March/April will roll out Jelly bean, but i want to try 4.2.2 also..

1)FXP's CM10 have no bug in it's latest stable ROM ,OpenSEMC's CM10.1 have some problem with FM Radio.(but it doesn't matter
2)You can't use nova kernel on CM10.1
3)All 4.2 ROM's camera are the same(Slim, CM10.1 ,PAC).
If you want a ROM that very stable, try FXP's CM10
If you want a ROM that high customation, try PAC (19 based on CM10(4.1.x) ,20 or 21 based on CM10.1(4.2.x)
If you want a ROM that daily use, try Slim Rom or OpenSEMC's CM10.1
sorry for my poor english :<

In general, the main bugs are related to network, sometimes it disconnects itself and have to disable and reenable data traffic. Moreover, 1080p and FM Radio is not working in most of cases, but in general, CM10-10.1 ROMs are very stable.

Finally some one who uses the Q&A.yes it should support AOKP/CM themes.
I'm thinking test your ROM, but whats is the kernel included in the zip file?
Lupus v11? 3.X Kernel?
The main post said dont work JB Camera (4.2.2). There is other camera app included in ROM (CM camera 4.1.2 perhaps) or we must install other third party camera app.
setup wizard pac-man
Hey I flashed the inkludet kernel and did a full wipe and installed the ROM. The Rom boots but then the Setup Wizard does not respond and I cant set upp my phone. A tested this tvice and then re downloadet the rom but got the same results. Is it only me or are others having the same problem Im comming from a nother JB 4.2.2. rom if that helps. Others seem to be having no problems. Perhaps its something to do with gapps. I'm assuming you used full gapps. Try the mini or light version of gapps. So long as u done your full wipes I can't see any other reason. Maybe try flash ROM let it boot then go back to recovery and flash gapps.
Edit - OK so apparently light gapps just causes FC'ing I'll link to other gapps when I'm home.
i flashed this ROM with full Gapps in Xperia Arc S, and it's working really fine, until now had twice random reboots, but that's not really a problem to me.
other than that the ROM is awesome. :good:

See I'm pretty sure its the kernel giving random reboots. But with LuPuS or Fusion kernel, WiFi and Bluetooth will not work on 4.2.

Hi,
May I also post on the Pro version here? There is no seperate thread for it.
It's my first attempt on a custom rom after using stock ICS. Unfortunately, I found it to be very unstable
My first attempt was Lupus/v21, now I'm on Fusion/v22. Both seem to be highly unstable. Just using apps is normally fine, but a few things seem to provoke lockups including unlocking the screen, listening to music and using the camera.
I did a full wipe before installing (system, cache, dalvik cache, data), I even tried the permissions fix.
Otherwise it seems a great rom, perfect feature set and very fast, but the unstability makes it unusable for me

Yes u can post here also. Comparing any 4.2 ROM to STOCK ICS, stock ICS would be the winner in terms of stability. 4.1 is the best if you want JB IMO. But 4.2 and especially PAC 4.2 has a lot more features, customization amongst other things. It doesn't matter on the kernel its going to be the same. This is why FXP stopped developing after CM10 for the XPERIA 2011 line-up. It will never be 100% stable as will any 4.2 ROM for Xperia 2011.
I don't know what calls you stabillity, but 4.1 is very stable, almost as 4.0. 4.2 isn't stable specially with 3.x kernels, but 4.1 is perfect. And FXP stop the development for 2011 line becase they have to develop for a lot of devices, i think.

I said 4.1 is stable. And no they stopped because without a stable 3.x kernel it would be impossible for a stable 4.2 J. There was no 3.x kernel for 2011 device back then, but even still they knew if there was a 3.x kernel it would need a lot of work to get stable, if it even can.
