Hi i'm having some problems with my galaxy note 2. After i install some apps they disappear from the phone by itself a sort of self uninstalling. I hope someone can help me to figure out why that things happend. After the uninstalling process if i go back to the market i have to download it once again with the same, self-uninstalling, results. Someone have experienced the same issue? Please help me..it's so frustrating
can you give some extra information :
is your device rooted ? if yes, are you still on stock on are you using a different rom ?
do you have an antivirus, if yes what ?
what are the apps you are having trouble with ?
I'm no android wizz, but any extra info can help

Ok upon reaching step 9 in this tut http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/TMobile_myTouch_3G_Slide:_Full_Update_Guide my device becomes unrecognizable when i go to push and when i look under my device manager it is no longer listed as android device but instead as a disk drive any ideas what would cause this yes debugging is on and prior to step 9 i can push with no problems i believe it is step 8 that is causing the issue any help is greatly appreciated also i am running 64 bit not sure if this could be causing a problem

I have rooted by Note 2 N7100 in the past using the ODIN tool and CWM. But I had issues with some apps that were being closed at random etc. So I got tired and unrooted. But now I wanted to root it again using the ODIN. But ODIN is not able to detect my phone at all.
Please someone help me. Now that my note 2 got the 4.3, it is bloated with all kinds of crap from Samsung. I need to root to remove all the crap.

Remove samsung usb drivers and reinstall them,that might work

Naa... this is a new laptop. So all new. still deleted the drivers and reinstalled. No luck.

i did google this issue and people have come up with various possibilities what could be wrong right from faulty usb cable to re installing drivers to factory resetting their device 3x for ODIN to be able to detect their device, i am a newbie too at these things so i am not really sure what could possibly be stopping from ODIN detecting your phone but i'll be on the look out and see if i can refer to you a solution if you haven't solved it already but if you do fix it somehow please post what exactly you did to make it work so it could help future users in case they run into the same issue.

It can't be the issue with the cable as I am able to use the cable for other things like backups and moving data from phone to PC etc. The issue with the Factory reset is that i dont have a spare phone at the moment. So if this device screws i am dead without a mobile to use.
Let me search some more and if I can find a solution i will post it here. Else I am going for the Cyanogenmod installer. I am tired of this.

Alright goodluck dude,hope you can fix it
Can someone please help me? I used C4tech method to root 7a, everything wasgoing great, saying successful at each step, then when I booted it up to check root the phone is stuck at welcome screen saying, " "Unfortunately, settings has stopped". Can someone please help me out? Please I need this phone. I really do appreciate any help.

Hay, I have the same problem. I my phone is a x9007. I have been at this for about a week now. I am in China and getting any help here....fuggid-about it. I thought that it was stopping at the "settings" because all the Google blocks. I managed to get an international version of ColorOs to load, I get to the settings via the wifi screen and navigate from there. I thought the freedom of Android was that you could access everything and change explore ways to custom set up your phone etc. So far I have hours of research and stress and haven't used it for anything else. I really hate that I spent money I worked hard for for this. I am a teacher not a developer. I got the phone to serve me and my students. So far I am serving the development of this phone and the sales and marketing game. Is there anyone who can help me get past this frustration.Just getting windows 7 to recognize this monster was a nightmare. It seems to be an arbitrary process. I have had to install super SU twice, I attempted to flash CM11s- says it will not on this device, but briefly flashed the color theme in the attempt. Like "Leyebound's comment and plea, can I please get some advice-help, I need this phone...to work.

i have tried everything to try rooting my note 2.
I got to the point that Su appears in my apps list but it stops responding and the little grey shield comes up to say unauthorised access was stopped. Also trying to update
i then tried Cwm and twrp and it has a green pass on doing but it does not give me a new download menu so that I can install multi tools from zip.
What else can I do to root and/or bypass know? I have hard reset my phone (btw su is still on) and busy downloading a stock 4.3 rom.
must I install stock rom and try again? Or what else can I try?

I really need some help, for some time i have been trying to solve the MTP driver fail issue on my PC with win 7, tried everything but no go, now i have found out that the MTP (app) got killed on my Phone (not running in the background) so please tell me how to activate that again, i really hope that somebody is able to help me since i´m total lost on this and i really need to get it working again, Many Thanks

Have you tried flashing stock firmware COC2 with Odin over your current installation with just a CACHE wipe before hand? Are your driver's working correctly on your windows 7? Try the Samsung driver's listed here on xda.
yes i´m very sure that my drivers are working correct, also i have not yet flashed my stock firmware, because i thought i could get the MPT app on my phone running again without flashing the firmware, Many Thanks
PS : I think it is ES Task manager that have killed the mtp app from running in the background on my phone
