[Q] HTC DHD stuck on htc sreen logo - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys
I hope you're all okay
My htc desire hd is stuck on htc logo screen and i read lots of your posts about this topic but I couldn't manage to find a solution.
I tried flashing rooting and other stuff bot none worked.
Please tell me what to do
PS: I cant acces to settings to tick the Usb Debugging and I dont have Clockworkmod installed
Regards

If you can access the phone via adb or hboot (press Vol-Down + Power) then try to flash Clockword Mod and work your way from there (wipe everything, flash new ROM and so on). These instruction are for the EVO but hboot should be almost identical on every phone I guess: How to manually flash a recovery image (via fastboot OR from SD card)

I tried it believe me I tried via SD card and via Commang prompt too but both of them FAILED

[Q] Need help!! Keep loading at oxygen page.....

Hi. i'm new to android phone. Now i have some problem with my htc desire while i install the oxygen RC 7 android OS (download from this forum), my phone will keep loading at oxygen page without end (about 20mins).
Here are the step i have taken for the installation:
1. Rooted my htc desire by using the unrevoked3 method. (No problem with this)
2. I have install ROM Manager from the market.
3. I have make a backup using the ROM Manager for my current version (froyo 2.2).
4. After i have make a backup, i install the oxygen RC7 using the ROM Manager using the option from the app "install from SDcard".
5. Then my phone keep loading at oxygen page.
Can you help with solve this problem or get back to my previous froyo 2.2??
Sorry if i left out any important information which you guy need.
If you need any information, feel free to ask me and i'll reply asap.
Any help will greatly appreciated. Thanks.
WARNING! On following this guide, you will loose all data!
Sound like you had a problem whilst flashing... Follow these instruction and I'll get you back on Froyo 2.2, latest build.
- Download this RRU.
- Put you phone into Fastboot by holding Vol-Down+Power when the phone is switched off. When the bootloader loads give it 10 seconds to load, press the power button and if you see Fastboot written in Red on the screen, your in Fastboot mode.
- Connect you phone to the computer when in Fastboot mode. If done correctly Fastboot (written in Red) should change to Fastboot USB Plug.
- Run the RRU you downloaded before and it should flash your device back to Froyo.
*This guide does NOT require a Goldcard, however you do need Fastboot drivers installed. Please install the latest version of HTC Sync if you do not have it installed. When running the RRU utility make sure HTC Sync and all of its processes are closed, as this can interrupt the flashing process.
Before doing all of that, have you tried wiping dalvik cache through recovery - clockworkmod I assume?

Yep, wipe cache first. That should sort you. RUU is far too drastic a measure at this early time

Does need a gold card if that wasn't the original ROM on it to start with
Deffo... no need to RRU! I had the same problem with Cyanogen mod.. looped at 1st boot. Can you get into Clockwork Recovery (reboot holding vol down)?
Thanks for all the reply which you guy have... One for all, i want to thanks for all the help..... Actually is my mistake, i did manage to get back to my froyo 2.2 rom by using the clockworkmod recovery or ROM Manager (quite confuse -_-!!) by pressing the 'centre button (circle button) of my phone' because it didn't work when i press the 'power button to select' and now i also manage to flash the oxygen rom to my htc desire. Thanks for all reply. ^_^

Regards
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
You have to flash recovery with fastboot, fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (put recovery.img in same folder as fastboot)
You could also try running the RUU while booted in fastboot (just connect USB, and run RUU). I believe I did this once... Not 100% sure if it was fastboot or bootloader, just check them both...

When you want to flash ruu, your phone has to be fastboot mode, otherwise it won't get recognized.

[SOLVED] [Q] Bricked Desire

Hi,
I have a problem with my Desire. I have tried things found in other threads, but I can't get it to work.
I have installed Sandvold ICS on it.
I can get to the boot screen, where it stays forever.
I can also get to Recovery, fastboot and Clockworkmod.
I have:
Clockwordmod Recovery v5.0.2.0
PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
I have tried running the RUU, but it says my battery is below 30%, even though it is fully charged.
I have tried using adb, but my device is not detected. Though it is detected in device manager as Android Bootloader Interface.
Unrevoked doesn't detect it either.
I'm really at a loss.
Any help will be appreciated.
boot into recovery do a full wipe and try re-install the rom or try a different rom also make sure u have the correct hboot and a ext3/4 partition for the rom if it needs 1. when i tested that rom before i had CM7r2 hboot and had a 1gb ext4 partition and it worked fine. check out the op of the rom for exact install instructions
Sent from my HTC Desire
I forgot to mention that it won't mount the sdcard.
It was running fine for a while on the Sandvold rom, but then after it ran out of power it wouldn't boot when I recharged it.
boot into fastboot (power off then hold back + power) plug in via usb and try fastboot commands
fastboot oem enableqxdm 0
fastboot oem eraseconfig
if that fails go to bortaks troubleshooting guide. (desire q&a) first post. i think he covers this problem
Thanks for that! I got it working again!
Turns out that the sdcard didn't work.
Strange that it went out from day to day.
Thank you again!
Edit the thread title to [SOLVED] as anyone with the same problem can find solution.
How?
on ur computer just edit the name/title [Q] Bricked Desire. to [solved] [Q] Bricked Desire

Found it. Had to go to advanced editing to change the title.

Htc one x booting issue

So here's how it all started. After installing cyanogenmod 10 on my htc one x, it would not boot up anymore. (Btw, I have the clockwork recovery mod) I'm not sure if I followed the steps correctly. I thought that doing a hard reset would erase the rom that was in the sd and that it would boot from the stock sense 4.0.3 rom but it didnt. Whenever I turn it on it always shows the "HTC quietly brilliant". It doesnt do anything after that. What do I do?? PLEASE HELP! IF YOU FIX THIS ISSUE I WILL AWARD YOU WITH $$ (Paypal) THX

with cm10 download you have you need to extract boot.img to where you have adb drivers (contains adb shell and fastboot) saved. if not need to download android sdk. Once done need to get phone into hboot/fastboot vol. down + power (will show hboot and option hboot highlighted in blue press power once to enter fastboot) and then connect usb.
Go to pc and then go to start>run and type cmd (command prompt will appear) change path to where adb is saved (In my case its in my documents so it would be cd my documents ENTER cd adb ENTER and path will show C:\Users\Administrator\My Documents\adb>) once your path is correct type fastboot flash boot boot.img ENTER and it will write to phone. Then type fastboot reboot ENTER phone will reboot and boot into cm10. Hope this helps!
PS: By me tying ENTER I am instructing you to press the Enter key. Sorry if it sounds pedantic by thought I'd mention it. Thanks!
The problem is that there is no cyanogenmod file on my device because I formatted my sd. Is there a way that I can transfer the whole cyanogenmod file to my one x while it is still in recovery/fastboot?

Boot into recovery, connect to your computer and select "mount USB storage" in recovery.
Remember, you MUST flash the boot.img through fastboot as well as flashing the rom

[Q] Briced one

Hello to everyone!
Afer changing flat cable on Desire HD, device wont boot, just get stuck at HTC screen. When I enter bootloader and select recovery device also get stuck at white screen with HTC logo. When select fastboot it comunicates with PC, so I tried to flash recovery (many times, many recovery versions) and it all goes well without any error and it says it is written OK to device, but device won't boot into recovery.
I made goldcard via another HTC phone (becouse I can't use adb bricked device), and tried to flash RUU WWE 3.12.405.1 with PD98IMG.zip on SD card method. And nothing is solved still... Also tried to flash recovery that way...
Don't know what more can I try to unbrick device???
