I wouldn't be too worried since it does actually say, passed all functions. It's a guessing game until you get it in the box and take a look for yourself. Good luck, you'll be alright!
Original Problem:
INSTALLATION - CALL QUALITY (RX/TX) - POOR SIGNAL
Problem found:
IF/CHARGING PORT - DAMAGE FWT - NO PCS SERVICE - NO PCS SERVICE
Solution:
REPLACED COMPONENT - REPLACED LCD - REPLACED TOUCHPANEL - REPLACED PBA
Here's why I sent it back to Sammy: I couldn't get a signal bar from a sprint tower ANYWHERE. No Data at all. No 3g, 4g, and the signal bar had a zero with a line through it. Funny thing? Roam got me a signal bar off a sprint tower...Dropped the phone on the charging cable and I think it messed up the usb charging/data port because I moved the cable a little and it would connect or disconnect, but it worked using another cable, no problems. Data Transfer/Charge etc. LCD screen and touchpad were EXCELLENT...So what's with all this stuff they did? I mean I am grateful, didn't cost me a dime (under warranty) but what's it all mean? BTW Sammy is the BEST! Even paid shipping there and back!
Original Problem:
INSTALLATION - CALL QUALITY (RX/TX) - POOR SIGNAL
********This is what you told them.
Problem found:
IF/CHARGING PORT - DAMAGE FWT - NO PCS SERVICE - NO PCS SERVICE
********after testing they concluded you cannot get signal just like you said. Also your charging port was malfunctioning.
Solution:
REPLACED COMPONENT - REPLACED LCD - REPLACED TOUCHPANEL - REPLACED PBA
*********some component was changed. Unknow without specs. Lcd and digitizer was replaced. The bottom buttons portion was replaced. Also your mainboard was replaced.
Next time you dont know I encourage you to search. You can use google. I find it much more reliable than the xda search function.

Patrao_n,Thank you so much! Trust me, I did Google the hell out of it and even got some basketball game called PBA...lol But NOTHING as definitive as you just gave me here. I still don't know why the LCD and Digitizer and touchpanel was replaced? Hmmm. I can see the charging point, but all that other stuff? WOW... Those guys are thorough...My gratitude to you..
No problem

Also they could have broken a ribbon cable or something on the screen and touchpanel while servicing. Which would explain why it was replaced.

What does this mean?
IF/CHARGING PORT - FWT
i got my new RK3188 based head unit 3 weeks ago (android 5.1), with CANBUS module to display varies car info in the unit and get the steering wheel controls working, last week my car displayed "Error: Transmission" (Skoda Octavia 2014), and my transmission box started to act weird (skipping gears).
First thing i did - was to remove the head unit, but the problem was still there, as my car is still under manufacturer warranty - i took it to repair shop (after installing the original head unit back), and got it back after four days - they said that the transmission computer has malfunctioned and they replaced it.
The nature of the problem (computer malfunction) and timing of it (two weeks after installing a head unit with CANBUS connectivity) got me worried - that maybe something with the head unit caused this problem.
has anyone every encountered this? can it even happen (is there any protection for such issues in the CANBUS protocol?)?
The problem with your transmission computer is completely unrelated.
Thanks!
Hi,
I want to make a small project and I thought of using N7 2013 LCD because this display have full-hd resolution 16:10. I know how to hook up a previous N7 lcd (2012 aka gen1) to DVI-LVDS adapter, but I wanted higher resolution
FYI: Designing and building pcb circuit is not difficult thing to do for me so this is not issue.
I tried to get in my hands a datasheet for LCD panel but no luck. The number printed on LCD is almost different for each display photo that I found - so this is not a panel symbol.
So the point is: I would like to ask someone that have ME571K repair guide, if he/she could share with me a part (screenshot) where is a LCD connector on motherboard described (signal names, pinout, connector manufacturer & part number).
I would be really happy, I sb actually shared a more information: a whole way from CPU to the LCD panel - this would be terrific - but this a little too much to ask

Hi, I don't have the pinouts nor repair guide, but here are manufacturer & part numbers...
Just search online for lcd monitor driver board ...you will find some good results
@k23m - thanks, but actually I need a other side connector of the LCD FPC P/N the one you connect to main board:
@deadgiveaway - you mean DVI/HDMI to LVDS adapter board? I know them (and I plan to use one but this is not issue), but I'm looking at least for a pinout of LCD FPC connector or the mainboard connector to lcd FPC (on the attached photo). Without this information the "adapter board" (DVI/HDMI to LVDS) is useless. I've done some reverse engineering on the FPC connecting mainboard with LCD and I've got in result some questions, e.g.: I'm certain there is a 6 differential signal pairs, but LVDS commonly use: 4 or 8, but I found in some datasheet there might be 6 too (rare case). Also the CPU Snapdragon have multiple video interfaces: HDMI, LVDS and (the worst case for me) MIPI-DSI.
Just got an some idea, there might be some information about display interface in /sys (linux/android file system path ) on Nexus 7.
Hi,
Thanks for attempts to help me. Unfortunatly I found out looking at /sys/calss/graphics/fb0/msm_fb_type ...
Code:
[email protected]:/sys/class/graphics/fb0 $ ls
bits_per_pixel
blank
console
cursor
dev
mode
modes
msm_fb_fps_level
msm_fb_type
name
pan
power
rotate
state
stride
subsystem
uevent
virtual_size
vsync_event
[email protected]:/sys/class/graphics/fb0 $ cat msm_fb_type
mipi dsi cmd panel
MIPI-DSI interface is no good for any use for me (there is no doc publicly available...). So I'm going to use lcd from N7 2012
Ps. For interested, is possible to use LCD from nexus 7 2012. A user aBUGSworstnightmare @ Raspberrypi forum, managed to hook up LCD from N7 2012 to DVI-LVDS converter/adapter: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1052828#p1052828

Im trying to find the pinout moto x play or any other mobile displays. But I wasn't get any success
Can you tell me how did you get these pinout information
I'm doing a project on HDMI input to the display I found a module on hackaday project
Look fo service manual schematic for you phone. But almost always in displays that have resolution over 640*480 you find only mipi dsi interface. To get datasheet from manufacturer ( and MIPI DSI interface spec too ) is almost impossible [emoji3525] - unless you work for company and sign NDA with them for docs ...

Hi all.
My HTC 10 battery was so poor that I decided to go to a technical to change. After he changed my the battery, the main microphone was death. I can speak to the phone only with handsfree function. I taked back the phone by the shop, they opened again but all the cables are connected correctly and mic still won't work. Why?
Thanks.
- because they damaged the mic
- because they damaged a resistor
- because they damaged a transistor
- because they dropped your phone
- because they made a short circuit
- because they damaged the electrical circuits
We weren't there, we can't tell what's wrong.
