Is there some kind of DHD super-light, no-crapware, performance-first ROM like the Oxy-Lite one... but updated to 4.2 android?

I don´t think so... but you can go to the rom list and look for it
Use Titanium Backup to clean the stuff you don't want? CodeFireX is pretty light, a decent ROM. But let's not turn this into a ROM bashing thread

No disrespect, but benchmarks don't mean anything... e.g. I've managed to get 2831 on quadrant with a viper ROM + T2 kernel back a few months, but it was laggy as hell, therefore useless. That being said Jellytime is pretty good, and so is Mustas unofficial CM10.1 (which I'm running for a few months back), but this one ROM says that it is good for games, which is what you asked for.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339506 (It's not the real Oxy, it's just called that, but by another dev) It's basically a cleaned up version of jellytime. It seems to be one of the lightest JB ROMs

JellyBean - JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R4 Available
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202
I really like JellyTime but there are some little things missing for the moment.
This morning I tried the codefireX and for a new rom there is already some cool features. So i kept this one.
I tested Jellybean for a while and I really loved it, but in every update they made some bug was fixed and a new one was created. Finally stayed at ICS with Sense 4.
Right now IMO the best ROM is codefireX nightlies by synergye and Team Codefire.
As of now all of the JellyBean ROMs available for DHD/I4G are more or less at the same level of development. Because they all use the same kernel and other sources (slightly modified for JellyTime by randomblame I guess). So they all have the same bugs. The real question comes down to what kind of ROM you want. Randomblame releases JellyTime in both CM10 & AOKP versions. The unofficial nightlies are also available in CM10 & AOKP versions. The aim of codefireX is to have a CM10 ROM with a bunch of popular AOKP and other custom codefireX features added in. Kind of like the best of both worlds.
Another thing to consider is whether you want to have the latest development and flash a new nightly (almost) everyday, or you'd rather flash a ROM with one or two updates a week. If you want fast development, flash nightlies, otherwise flash JellyTime which gets updated less frequently but gets updated and fixes the same bugs nonetheless.

There isn't one; the dev isn't active on XDA. The cfX thread has some updates from synergye in the IRC channel. I should warn you that the bug list in randomblame's JT and in synerge's nightlies are very similar. If JT's bugs bother you, the nightlies probably will too.
All JB ROM's have the same bugs...it's like same drink in different cups...so you will have to do your own research and figure out what you like..
I hope the work with jellybean will arrive at the same point of ICS, there's a lot of roms that works fine with it. Jellybean is more fast, a jellybean rom, why not with the sense, could be a perfect rom for the DHD. Meanwhile Jellytime is enought!

Hi,
I used to MIUI.us 2.8.31.
It was wey fast but was some bugs for me:
• Usually I’ve got a black screen after unlock,
• The soft keys (home, menu, back, search) doesn’t light,
• I use a HTC headset. The headsets bottoms don’t function. I can’t pick up the phone.
I went back to ICS

I'd have to agree with what everyone seems to be saying here. My two favorites are Jellytime and CodefireX. CodefireX is releasing updates more often and I am using that at the moment. The main bugs occurring right now for me is the issue of blackscreen at the first sound played after unlock and also randomly when locking the phone the backlight will still be on even though the screen is black. I experience this behavior with both ROMs. Word is, a fix is right around the corner, though.
The issue is all kernel related. So all the JB roms have the same bugs...hope we get some kernel updates soon.
Now I'm using Jellytime r5.1 and I must Say that jellybean is faster a lot then ics! There are still a lot of bugs but with a few of updates we will have a lot of speedy roms!

I'll wait for unbugged rom . I saw a movie in slow motion showing speed ICS vs JB and JB is great

I agree...JB is a bit snappier than ICS.
It’s too early to use and relay to any of these Roms as daily driver, but Jellytime I think will be ready soon.
Any JB rom with working headset buttons?
Is the headset button issue even ROM related? I thought it all depends on the source it's compiled from.
I'm glad I don't need that, it's the only big issue left in Jelly Bean Roms
Does CodefireX have the same HW Overlay issue that jellytime has?

JellyTime is the best )
Hi folks,
I've posted this request in another forum and was suggested MildWild 5.0 and then I went and installed Sandvold beta 18. It seemed fine and after a few hours of tweaking, had it set up exactly how I wanted it. Sent a text to someone, put the phone down and about 15 minutes later pick it up again and see it appeared to have formatted itself and was back on the very start screen when I first booted it to the phone with the "Tips" and everything! Also, the home button now doesn't do anything at all.
It looks cool and everything and has nice features, but I simply can't have a phone with such unpredictable behavior. Also installed it at the same time to my friends desire and he's having issues with it too.
I went to have a look at Mildwild 5.0 and the thread seems to have posters complaining of other problems too.
Is there any 4.0 ROM that is absolutely stable and simply just "works" with everything, gps, radio, no restarts or any unpredictable behavior.
I need the phone for business use so I'm not too pushed about having the absolute latest build, ICS is fine for example, I don't want JB if it's unstable. I just need a rom that works!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
buy new phone with ics
on desire nikez rom is good, evriting except camera
Thanks for the reply I'd prefer no to buy a new phone, most of them are the larger screens nowadays and a desire is about as big as I want to have for work reasons (I do furniture removals so anything bigger would get in the way).
So it's really going to be about finding a proper ROM. Thanks for the suggestion of nikez, but I'd prefer to go with something where everything just works, no camera issues even, if possible.
Is CM9 available for the desire?

Damn, that's a pity. So it's looking like there's virtually no stable roms out there at all? I still have to try Mildwild but from reading the forum it appears to have problems too

I just installed MildWild, it says it's Android version 2.3.7 in the "about phone". Is that gingerbread or froyo or honeycomb or ICS?
Mildwild 4.3, bugless and with the feature to decide where to put each app (internal or ext). If you want more space and no problem about app dimension I really suggest CM 7.2.0.1 stable themes xperia

Thank you! So you'd suggest Mildwild 4.3 over 5.0? What about CM7.2.0.1? Which do you think of the 3 would be best? Maybe I'll try Mildwild 5.0 and see if it works
Now I am on CM7.2.0.1 from nloooo. It is a rom out of the box, ready to install many apps and with a fast launcher. It also has cyanogenmod theme support.
So I suggest you to try this.
Try Elk's CM10 release. It's working pretty good for me. Data doesn't always turn on when I check the box, but I haven't flashed the latest version yet either.

Sorry that would be too much of a bug for me with data, which I rely heavily on for synching everything for business. Thanks for the suggestion. CM10, I guess that's Jellybean or ICS? Probably too unstable for desire?

2.x is Gingerbread
3.x is Honeycomb
4.0 is ICS
4.1 is Jelly Bean
I suggest to stick with 1 of the GB ROM's.
Is there any stability advantages of the nloooo version over the regular 7.2, or is it just it has the experia theme? Hard to understand all the different options. And what about the spazedog, that's ICS, right?
I think I should probably stick with the gingerbread, which MildWild is running, so I think I'll give MildWild a chance as I heard good things about it and hope it doesn't cause me pain!
ICS and stable/reliable don't mix together.
So I'd politely ask for drool party to stop. Op stated his requirements and 4.0 doesn't fit in if you walked on your eyebrows.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2
Thanks for the bluntness erklat, I guess I can forget about 4.0 and just concentrate on gingerbread. Hopefully I don't run into any bugs with mildwild, fingers crossed!
At the risk of getting flamed, how come the most popular ROM (MildWild) is based on GB? I myself have a ICS/JB and the performance and stability is far above that of GB when it came to my SGS2 custom ROM experience. I'm going to guess that it's simply the best ROM?
For me it was simple, jb looks great, and performed quickly on my phone, but not everything worked. Using a 3rd party app for video recording was a simple solution for one problem that I had, but BBC iPlayer didn't work for me, add a few other niggles and it just wasn't worth it for me, though I still have a nandroid backup if I feel like a quick look again

I think the most common problem is the lack of internal memory and ram that keeps Desire Users from updating to ICS/JB since most of the bigger apps need much storage and run instable.
Tried ICS too and went back to my CM7.
If you're looking for a ICS/JB ROM, go for VJ's CM10.1 port. Pretty decent
Yes the VJ ROM is very nice and fast but I love gaming and the ROM doesn't run hard games ... So for now I'm using Alex 1.8 ROM modded , nice and stable but not that fast as VJ Rom but I can bare with that for now .. when in VJ's ROM hard games will run , I will go back on it

Nikez is daily driver for me, no reboots and pretty decent battery usage! the only bugs are well known: camcorder (which has workarounds like instaling another app from play store) and low notification sound after a while, which isnt that big of a deal if you keep the phone vibrating, like i do..

Hi.
I am overwhelmed by the amount of ROMs available. But one thing I don't like is theming.
That leads me to an unusual question:
Can you tell me if there are "modded stock ROMs" for the GNex?
No AOKP, no CM, etc.
Clearly a stock ROM which has been modded.
