JellyBean - JELLYTIME for DHD/Inspire4g - R4 Available
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1778202
I really like JellyTime but there are some little things missing for the moment.
This morning I tried the codefireX and for a new rom there is already some cool features. So i kept this one.
I tested Jellybean for a while and I really loved it, but in every update they made some bug was fixed and a new one was created. Finally stayed at ICS with Sense 4.
Right now IMO the best ROM is codefireX nightlies by synergye and Team Codefire.
As of now all of the JellyBean ROMs available for DHD/I4G are more or less at the same level of development. Because they all use the same kernel and other sources (slightly modified for JellyTime by randomblame I guess). So they all have the same bugs. The real question comes down to what kind of ROM you want. Randomblame releases JellyTime in both CM10 & AOKP versions. The unofficial nightlies are also available in CM10 & AOKP versions. The aim of codefireX is to have a CM10 ROM with a bunch of popular AOKP and other custom codefireX features added in. Kind of like the best of both worlds.
Another thing to consider is whether you want to have the latest development and flash a new nightly (almost) everyday, or you'd rather flash a ROM with one or two updates a week. If you want fast development, flash nightlies, otherwise flash JellyTime which gets updated less frequently but gets updated and fixes the same bugs nonetheless.

There isn't one; the dev isn't active on XDA. The cfX thread has some updates from synergye in the IRC channel. I should warn you that the bug list in randomblame's JT and in synerge's nightlies are very similar. If JT's bugs bother you, the nightlies probably will too.
All JB ROM's have the same bugs...it's like same drink in different cups...so you will have to do your own research and figure out what you like..
I hope the work with jellybean will arrive at the same point of ICS, there's a lot of roms that works fine with it. Jellybean is more fast, a jellybean rom, why not with the sense, could be a perfect rom for the DHD. Meanwhile Jellytime is enought!

Hi,
I used to MIUI.us 2.8.31.
It was wey fast but was some bugs for me:
• Usually I’ve got a black screen after unlock,
• The soft keys (home, menu, back, search) doesn’t light,
• I use a HTC headset. The headsets bottoms don’t function. I can’t pick up the phone.
I went back to ICS

I'd have to agree with what everyone seems to be saying here. My two favorites are Jellytime and CodefireX. CodefireX is releasing updates more often and I am using that at the moment. The main bugs occurring right now for me is the issue of blackscreen at the first sound played after unlock and also randomly when locking the phone the backlight will still be on even though the screen is black. I experience this behavior with both ROMs. Word is, a fix is right around the corner, though.
The issue is all kernel related. So all the JB roms have the same bugs...hope we get some kernel updates soon.
Now I'm using Jellytime r5.1 and I must Say that jellybean is faster a lot then ics! There are still a lot of bugs but with a few of updates we will have a lot of speedy roms!

I'll wait for unbugged rom . I saw a movie in slow motion showing speed ICS vs JB and JB is great

I agree...JB is a bit snappier than ICS.
It’s too early to use and relay to any of these Roms as daily driver, but Jellytime I think will be ready soon.
Any JB rom with working headset buttons?
Is the headset button issue even ROM related? I thought it all depends on the source it's compiled from.
I'm glad I don't need that, it's the only big issue left in Jelly Bean Roms
Does CodefireX have the same HW Overlay issue that jellytime has?

I've been using CM10 A3 by TeamNVRU, and while I'm generally satisfied with it on a day to day usage -- without any showstopper issues, I'd like to know if there are something out there that I should be trying out as well. Don't have time to test all the others in this thread, so would really be interested to hear how you guys have fared with these ROMS. Which AOSP-based 4.1 ROM is best for battery life?
Thanks.
tgascoigne's ROM was my daily driver before I changed to the new Sense 4.0.4 build, was awesome with my usage levels (which isn't a lot tbh)
This isn't meant to be aggressive, but shouldn't this be in Q&A?
Anywho I normally wait until a rom I like is stable and see what kind of bugs & features are within the rom and if it's good for 24h usage or not ARHD and Venom seem to be quite popular ones, within hardly any complaints
using ARHD 9.1.0 and it's flawless

Haha yeah I kinda missed that bit, I would suggest C10 as it's the one that all the others are based on so the only difference is in how people tweak it
I installed cm10 but can't get my secure WiFi network to connect.
Football maximus V3, super rom try it and you won't regret.

None of JB roms are not stable enough...surely I'm talking 'bout WIFI connectivity.
I've experimented Cyanogen10 and others JB based and could not had good experience with none.

I too have been using tgascoigne's JB ROM since his release 30 (31 out today) and although the benchmarks aren't fantastic, I've had no reason to change. WiFi has been fine.

Thanks for the replies.
It does seem to me like CM10 is still my best bet for now (well, I'm still using it after all!) None of the CM10 issues (Wifi, USB) affect me, so I guess I am lucky. Will check out tgascoigne's JB ROM.
Many suggested ViperX or ARHD but I am sticking with JB and AOSP for now, but if Sense gets 4.1 at some point in the future I may reconsider.
I just like pure stock with root sometimes i use leedroid tweaks...

surprised no one has mentioned Lord Clockans JB rom....that seems pretty stable
I have used tbalden's CM10, Trip's Cm10, Lord's AOKP & Trip's CM9
tbalden's & Lord's ROM are very stable and fast
Trip has been lately working on his 3.1.10 kernel and now lp0 is solved and he released alpha 001 version today...
Wifi works fine for me in tbalden's and Lord's ROMs and if u use 3.1.10 kernel for Trip's ROM then wifi works fine there too
In Sense ROM, i love Viper coz of its customizations...
also waiting for Sergio to release new Coredroid ROM with new suite tools
Anyone tried owain's CM10 build???

I would say "Use p10 Nikez rom, its far more stable than any gingerbread rom" but I don't feel like trolling today lol
Nick's Phone Compiled From Oxy/Roalex With Mods, cm7r2 hboot
Very fast and stable
CM based roms seem to be stable and fast for most users.
Try them if you think "oxygen" is good but a little "naked".
On topic: I'm using MildWild 5.0. Fast, stable, looks good.
Troll-topic: Shaky's Sense 4.0 rom. Most stable I've ever seen.

Nikez?
I have tried Sandvold's ROM (ICS) for a long time but switched to Nikez. Stable, clean and fast.
If you want to try: install i.e. 4EXT as recovery and stick to install-instructions and partitioning.
Also on Nikez site.

True, true, you're right: it's pre-alpha. And I was talking about Nikez JB P10.
As a 'normal user' of P10 I am very satisfied with this ROM and I do have some experience with other ROM's (not only Sandvold). Only a few things (thing?) does not work. Also, the forum-thread of Nikez JB P10 reads (almost) same opinions - if you filter the problems with installing 3d party scripts.
Even remarks as 'worht beta' can be read.
My suggestion is user-to-user (SeeZaar), from my point-of-view as a Desire-JB P10 user.
Cheers!

for stability and speed i would heartily recommend redux2-31.08-test which is a stripped gingerbread rom which i used exclusively for over a year. it has a wicked pull-down notification bar full of custom shortcuts. very stable despite the test title.
if you're looking for an ICS flavour i'd agree with earlier recommendations for spaze dog. i found it a bit more complicated to install successfully but once up & running it's been faultless.
hope that helps.
Coolexe's Cool Droid v3.
By reading those threads one could believe we have fully working & bug free ICS + JB. :silly:

Very stable both of them.

I am also finding rom for daily use.
I tried about 20 roms last weekend to find a really stable and all balanced one.
If a rom has many cool feature like newest sense4 but runs laggy. => I won't choose.
If a rom runs super fast and smooth but hotspot not working. => won't choose either.
Here's what I tasted in those 20 roms:
For Jelly Bean:
JellyTime, CodefireX, Unofficial-CM are quite similar. They are all based on CM10.
CodefireX has more tweak function in settings.
But all these rom I got sensor issue.
Accelerometer, magnetic field, orientation sensors are not working for me. (But for some others working great)
So JB rom is still far from stable for me.
For ICS with Sense:
If you want all function working, you can try Nik Project X v4.1. But I feel all sense 4 roms laggy.
If you like a smoother one, you can try Sabsa Bliss v2.0. It's sense 3.6 from Incredible S and suits for DHD, The only bad is wifi hotspot not working.
I think we can have a perfect ICS rom with sense 3.6 in the near future, just looking forward to it
For ICS without sense (AOSP)
IceColdSandwich v8.7 is the best. It's fast, light weight and many tweak settings from AOKP.
If you are not a pefectionism like me...You can choose it.
But I use camera very often. And the Camera in Sense always have better quality than in AOSP.
HTC must do image enhancement in its camera app.
......so...After a long trip to JB and ICS, I go back to GB with sense 3.5 finally......
I choose Runny Xtreme Surprise by XxXPachaXxX.
It's fast enough, many features beyond stock rom, only tiny bugs and good camera
The only bad maybe is it's a GB rom lol...
At last, I still wish HTC will release an official ICS RUU to DHD. Or, at least, an offical kernel source.
Also sabsa blish is very stable but I can't find tweaks for this from.

I actually use camera a LOT so if any 1 can suggest a stable (sense) ROM with "PERFECT" camera .. I wud appreciate that. Doesn't matter if its GB even

IMHO and my experience, every ROM is like that, even stock. Android is like Windows in that regard, more sw you install, slower it gets.... I didn't come to the conclusion if it's because of the widgets or just because of number of installed programs...
Now I need to figure out if I like sense or not I guess. thus far Jelly Bean has been my favorite on my play despite the fact that like half the stuff doesn't work >.< So we'll see...
Thx for all the places to start.

No disrespect, but benchmarks don't mean anything... e.g. I've managed to get 2831 on quadrant with a viper ROM + T2 kernel back a few months, but it was laggy as hell, therefore useless. That being said Jellytime is pretty good, and so is Mustas unofficial CM10.1 (which I'm running for a few months back), but this one ROM says that it is good for games, which is what you asked for.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339506 (It's not the real Oxy, it's just called that, but by another dev) It's basically a cleaned up version of jellytime. It seems to be one of the lightest JB ROMs
