[Q] Updating Firmware with a different version possible - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry if this question has already been answered but I have been looking in the forums and couldn't find exactly what i want.
From what I have found, there is an international version and a carrier version of the note 2.
I got my phone from EE (uk mobile carrier) and have removed the simlock by getting the code from them and now using the phone on Three mobile (another uk mobile carrier). But the problem is that its settings are still there like their website bookmark cannot be deleted and I have their recommended apps in the google play store.
I am guessing that the firmware version is also tied to when ever EE releases it. So i was thinking if its possible to make my mobile switch to the international firmware release. Which seems to be the first to get the latest of Samsung updates.
Is such a thing possible, if so is it worth it? and can any one tell me how to do it.
thank you in advance.

Just flash a Stock ROM via Odin PC.
Here is a useful guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696

Am i allowed to choose any firmware i want without bricking the phone or sth? They say it changes the csc but i dont know what is that and how bad it is to change it.
Csc is the reference to your country. You can use any csc but you might lack some features that the firmware of your country provides like language. If the latest firmware for your country was released in 2013 then I recommend you to flash it. Otherwise flash any firmware that you like which is released in 2013.

Get N7105 back to stock...

I'm trying to help a friend with his N7105 and I am lost.
He has been rooted running custom roms for a long time so that he could get group messaging. Now that the Hangouts app is available for download I'm trying to get him back to stock unrooted and he can do his own thing from here out. In doing so I realized that 4.3 was released for his model. I have looked for FW files on http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ for the right file, but don't see anything for the US or AT&T. But, there are sites all over saying it was released in a roll-out back in December like Android Police.
I've read from the forums on sammobile that you can flash another countries firmware package, but then you'll only get OTAs from that country. Also, if the package you use is carrier specific you'll have to unlock to phone again. Is there no AT&T US package available? If not, what are my best options?
Any help?
Don't know if this helps or not

Will that work on a N7105? Looks promising, just not sure.

The US ATT version of the Note II is the SGH-I317, does your friend have an ATT branded phone or an imported N7105?. Sawdoctor's link will work if it is an I317. Flashing a rom from a different country won't SIM lock the phone, but will install the default apps from whatever phone company's build is used. I have an N7105, live in Belgium but use the German TMobile build on my phone, I had no issues going from CM11 back to 4.3 (I actually did this on Tuesday).

That's the hard part. The phone is branded as AT&T and the sticker under the battery says SGH-I317 but if you boot it into bootloader it says it's a N7105. He bought the phone used from a local classifieds site to use with AT&T, he broke his screen after a few months and sent it into Samsung to repair it. I'm not sure if he was returned the same phone he sent if or if they just sent out a phone a different phone. Not sure if it's a N7105 that was imported (or in this case, refurbed and sent to him).

They just uploaded newest version today and for Turkey!
How lucky i am . Anyways changelist is the same
I wonder if Restoring via Kies as mentioned here would work for the GT-S7560M too?
When submitting my Serial Number, Kies gives me the following
"Initialized Version: PDA:MF4 / PHONE:MF4 / CSC:MF1 (CHO)"
How can I verify that that's the same as what I have right now?
How can I make sure I have my phone back to the original state in case I have to give it back to the carrier with guarantee issues?
I read that "any firmware" would do for this phone, but mine is not listed on sam-mobile (Tigo Bolivia).
The baseband is available as coming from various countries (including Guatemala as "Daver18qc's Deodexed/Rooted Guatemala" as mentioned in the FAQ just that that has a different baseband.) - Does that matter?
Thanks
EDIT: Works with Kies for Mac on a soft bricked S7560m
stock firmware

Have you tried searching sammobile.com for the latest firmware in your area?
Or you could try custom roms from the development area. ^.^

Flash indian firmware. They are the first to get updates.
And when updating from 4.1.2 to 4.3 or 4.4.2 you should make a factory reset in recovery because they change storage location.
For best result after a flash i recommend you make a backup of your internal memory and flash the Indian firmware then make a factory reset.

1) I still remember I saw some post stating that after flashing a stock rom, factory reset will change the CSC?
2 Is Chinese language available on India firmware?

[Q] SM-P600 WIFI (USA) What OS is the most current? Need Link.

Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition WIFI . USA.
Quick Question:
Where is a working "Trustworthy" Link to download the latest Firmware (I believe 4.4.3 tar/md5 file) for the USA version of the SM-P600 WIFI using Odin. Many links are dead or take you on a wild goose chase to get it.
I checked here:
[Cannot Post the Link because XDA prevented me.] . which seems to have every country around the world except for the USA. Is it listed? If so which one.
Extended Info:
Mine is on it's last leg, but I still want it to use for a MP3 player (ie very basic APPs). Large Programs can crash so I did a factory wipe using TWRP but it did not help. I then tried to wipe everything which included the OS but could only find a 4.4.2 OS version (P600UEUCND2_P600XARCND2_XAR.zip). Feels/looks different.
Question: what is the best update/link?
Thanks,
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
The reason why you cannot find firmware for USA is because it is listed as Cellular south for some reason. The latest build is CNK2 based off 4.4.2 kitkat, you can find a mirror here:
