[Q] SM-P600 WIFI (USA) What OS is the most current? Need Link. - Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition WIFI . USA.
Quick Question:
Where is a working "Trustworthy" Link to download the latest Firmware (I believe 4.4.3 tar/md5 file) for the USA version of the SM-P600 WIFI using Odin. Many links are dead or take you on a wild goose chase to get it.
I checked here:
[Cannot Post the Link because XDA prevented me.] . which seems to have every country around the world except for the USA. Is it listed? If so which one.
Extended Info:
Mine is on it's last leg, but I still want it to use for a MP3 player (ie very basic APPs). Large Programs can crash so I did a factory wipe using TWRP but it did not help. I then tried to wipe everything which included the OS but could only find a 4.4.2 OS version (P600UEUCND2_P600XARCND2_XAR.zip). Feels/looks different.
Question: what is the best update/link?
Thanks,
Chuck

Hi Chuck,
The reason why you cannot find firmware for USA is because it is listed as Cellular south for some reason. The latest build is CNK2 based off 4.4.2 kitkat, you can find a mirror here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719750&page=32
Or the original link is here

[Q] ROM for Note 8 bought in China without GAPPS?

China is a very tricky place to buy gadgets if you live there. I had the same problem with my first galaxy tab, and thats when i got aquatinted with XDA since then. No problems with S3's and Note 2's as you can find them rooted with proper ROM's even at the stores here.
I got my hands on the Note 8 as soon as it came, and there is not much happening in the development area so far. I have achieved Root, but failed to flash anything, as there is only 1 German ROM available. Anybody who can contribute in giving ROM and CSC solutions for expats living and working in China would be appreciated and properly thanked
take a look at the sammobile site, and be aware that the device is classed as a phone there.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/
There are a ton of stock ROMs for a lot of markets for the N5110. I don't know if there are as many for the device you have, which I think is a 5100?

Thank you for your suggestion. Yes i got the N5100 and sammobile is great. However it is blocked in China, and can be accessed only through VPN. Same like sites like hot file.com etc...
Therefor this website is a perfect haven for us who reside in China. If we would have more links here would be very helpful..
Unfortunately, the files are are huge (the stock firmware is a 1.1 gig file) so uploading and hosting is a chore.
If you had a copy of the play store would it work?
There are copies of the play store all over the place. I'd think you could extract the APK that's used with CM10 and install that, as long as you had root.

Here is the link for gapps that worked for me.

First I achieved root with framaroot and then after I downloaded gapps I flashed the zip from CWM. Gave my gf's Note 8 international character. Waiting for a black 32Gb to come up for my self

Holy cow, you flashed the whole of the CM10 gapps?
I was thinking you'd pull the play store APK out and install it after rooting your device - but great to know the whole thing can be installed.

[Q] Updating Firmware with a different version possible

Sorry if this question has already been answered but I have been looking in the forums and couldn't find exactly what i want.
From what I have found, there is an international version and a carrier version of the note 2.
I got my phone from EE (uk mobile carrier) and have removed the simlock by getting the code from them and now using the phone on Three mobile (another uk mobile carrier). But the problem is that its settings are still there like their website bookmark cannot be deleted and I have their recommended apps in the google play store.
I am guessing that the firmware version is also tied to when ever EE releases it. So i was thinking if its possible to make my mobile switch to the international firmware release. Which seems to be the first to get the latest of Samsung updates.
Is such a thing possible, if so is it worth it? and can any one tell me how to do it.
thank you in advance.
Just flash a Stock ROM via Odin PC.
Here is a useful guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1896696

Sorry, but I'm old to Android stuff but new to ODIN and Samsung. I expect to be hard to downgrade as you also need to downgrade EVERY aspect of your SGT3, including ones you're using to flash. However, it's theoretically possible.
But as of Flash Player, use Dolphin browser. That should work with Flash.

You can goto samfirmware.com and get a the 4.1.x and install it using odin. The goto settings and make sure you don't have it auto update. Is freaky simple as I've done it myself with no issues. So do I get a Christmas present?

HAH GA................... Oh wait, we shouldn't.
Well yes, you should try using Dolphin browser. Locate it on GPlay or get it as an apk somewhere.
wont work in dolphin on 4.2.2 but puffin browser works for flash.
puffin works but performance is ****ty. someone has to have the original shipped firmware somewhere? would like to downgrade
thanks to anyone that can help
OK next browser works perfect! I think better than dolphin for flash
Thanks for posting, still waiting to find a good tutorial or something.

I have the same problem, but nothing works since the last crappy update. ALL apps close abruptly and there is no flash player. The dolphin browser also was no help.
I gladly trade my tab 3 for the tab 2.

Get N7105 back to stock...

I'm trying to help a friend with his N7105 and I am lost.
He has been rooted running custom roms for a long time so that he could get group messaging. Now that the Hangouts app is available for download I'm trying to get him back to stock unrooted and he can do his own thing from here out. In doing so I realized that 4.3 was released for his model. I have looked for FW files on http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ for the right file, but don't see anything for the US or AT&T. But, there are sites all over saying it was released in a roll-out back in December like Android Police.
I've read from the forums on sammobile that you can flash another countries firmware package, but then you'll only get OTAs from that country. Also, if the package you use is carrier specific you'll have to unlock to phone again. Is there no AT&T US package available? If not, what are my best options?
Any help?
Don't know if this helps or not

Will that work on a N7105? Looks promising, just not sure.

The US ATT version of the Note II is the SGH-I317, does your friend have an ATT branded phone or an imported N7105?. Sawdoctor's link will work if it is an I317. Flashing a rom from a different country won't SIM lock the phone, but will install the default apps from whatever phone company's build is used. I have an N7105, live in Belgium but use the German TMobile build on my phone, I had no issues going from CM11 back to 4.3 (I actually did this on Tuesday).

That's the hard part. The phone is branded as AT&T and the sticker under the battery says SGH-I317 but if you boot it into bootloader it says it's a N7105. He bought the phone used from a local classifieds site to use with AT&T, he broke his screen after a few months and sent it into Samsung to repair it. I'm not sure if he was returned the same phone he sent if or if they just sent out a phone a different phone. Not sure if it's a N7105 that was imported (or in this case, refurbed and sent to him).

Official Lollipop 5.1.1] Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) SM-P607T Firmware Update

We just picked up a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note SM-P607T (T-Mobile) 32GB 10.1" Tablet, that has never been opened
in a new box.
So we tried to download the Lollipop v5.1.1 firmware update via the XDA links only to find that its not available or we get directed to a (pay to download "join") org
in order to get it...
So where can we get the FW update, download it and install?
Also since many of you have all the tips on this update any advice is appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance!:good:

SamMobile free download after registration returns a 404 code... Bummer!
Any one else?

Why not just do an OTA, unless you are looking for a different region ROM?
