Thank you!
I have found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31801046&postcount=1
Am i allowed to choose any firmware i want without bricking the phone or sth? They say it changes the csc but i dont know what is that and how bad it is to change it.
Csc is the reference to your country. You can use any csc but you might lack some features that the firmware of your country provides like language. If the latest firmware for your country was released in 2013 then I recommend you to flash it. Otherwise flash any firmware that you like which is released in 2013.

I bought Galaxy Note 2 recently. The product code on the box reads GT-N7100RWDAFG. I bought it from Kuwait, but I live now in Egypt.
I searched sammobile for the stock rom for such product but no luck.
Can anyone help directing me to the stock rom of such product?
And is it possible to flash other stock roms in my device like say Egypt stock roms? I mean will this void my warranty, cause any harm to the device or even change the original product code?
Finally I read somewhere that if you i bought note 2 form a country and live in a nother I would not get firmware update via official ways (Kies), is it true?
Thank you very much for reading and responding!
Much appreciated

You can flash any stock firmware you want without harming it. You will still get updates if you set the right csc for that rom properly. Did you change your rom? I suggest sticking to stock if you want to get ota updates.
Thanks Alot for your answer. I did flash the stock rom using mobile odin and then rooted the device using the amazing cf autoroot tool. Don't need the ota, doesn't work anways.
Thanks again.

Sorry if this question has already been answered but I have been looking in the forums and couldn't find exactly what i want.
From what I have found, there is an international version and a carrier version of the note 2.
I got my phone from EE (uk mobile carrier) and have removed the simlock by getting the code from them and now using the phone on Three mobile (another uk mobile carrier). But the problem is that its settings are still there like their website bookmark cannot be deleted and I have their recommended apps in the google play store.
I am guessing that the firmware version is also tied to when ever EE releases it. So i was thinking if its possible to make my mobile switch to the international firmware release. Which seems to be the first to get the latest of Samsung updates.
Is such a thing possible, if so is it worth it? and can any one tell me how to do it.
thank you in advance.
Just flash a Stock ROM via Odin PC.

Guy please I'm a noob.
This is what I want answered.
1) can I flash latest 4.1.2 dmc3 to my phone and just use and updated modem rom?
2) please explain how I can reset my current hone to complete factory. Meaning removing TWRP and complete unroot. Basically as I had it when I turned the phone on from the first time.
3) I really need someone I can skype with and explain certain things to me.
I have read alot of forums on flashing and rooting.
Ultimately I want my phone updated with root and custom recovery for backup but need normal and no modified count so I can use the Samsung apps and others.
Anyway thanks in advance guys I know it's a bother to help me and would really appreciate the help.

Why are you so badly NEED to update? Why are you craving for those useless updates? The SUPERPHONE Note 2 runs very smooth, no bugs at all, so I cannot understand for such excessive passion for useless updates.

how to
can you tell me how to root?
Hi guys,
The latest firmware 4.3 was released early today in my region.Malaysia.
Was wondering if there was anyone still doing the pre-rooted stuff as i know Dr.Ketan is busy with his Note3 device and A.S.id is nowhere to be found.
It would be great if some other persons could create the knox free pre-rooted firmware.
If i only knew how to do this i would not be creating this thread.

Either you are dumb or just plain stupid to answer in such a manner to a very simple question.
Did you read the heading of this thread?
All I wanted to know was that if there was going to be someone else apart from the 2 persons mentioned above who might be preparing a pre-rooted/deknoxed of the said firmware.
Now do you see anywhere in the text any refferal whatsoever degrading samsung or or any nationality.
And this sort of remark coming from you is uncalled for.

You said that it would be great if someone could create a pre-rooted firmware of the latest release..
All he was trying to say is that there is no noticeable difference between all these mk9/mkd/ml3 so you may flash mk9 or mkd pre rooted/deodexed which has been posted by someone in android dev section

Then he should have just stopped there.
No need for the later remark.

Have you tried searching sammobile.com for the latest firmware in your area?
Or you could try custom roms from the development area. ^.^

Flash indian firmware. They are the first to get updates.
And when updating from 4.1.2 to 4.3 or 4.4.2 you should make a factory reset in recovery because they change storage location.
For best result after a flash i recommend you make a backup of your internal memory and flash the Indian firmware then make a factory reset.

Hi,
I have some doubts:
1) I still remember I saw some post stating that after flashing a stock rom, factory reset will change the CSC?
2 Is Chinese language available on India firmware?
Many thanks!
