Download better battery stats from the market.
Thanks will try, was under the impression that this could be accessed somewhere in system settings.

When ya get almost even 200mhz and deep sleep state. IE 200mhz 44% deep S 44%..numbers will vary of course. That is the ideal. Dam near only way to get low 200mhz is in airplane mode.lol..
Thanks guys will give CPU spy a try, been that its free but I see a different Rom in my future. A phone should not be so complicated just to run ICS. I was trying to talk her into staying with gb for a while but she felt left out because her coworkers made it sound like her phone was in the dark ages with gb. After her ff18 ota and initial crappy batt life and her nagging I figured I'd try some akop, aaargghhh, not good. Back to gb until ICS gets fixed. I'll just give her some ICS theme.

that's good news to me I guess i am using ondemand governor so i am not sure if that has something to do with it but battery drains fast... not as much as on official ics stock rom but being on on WiFi at work for 8 hours should not drain my battery half way with very minimal usage.
Download CPU spy and sure enough the phone is not deep sleeping enough. Well that's all I needed to know. Gingerbread land here I come.

you know you can fix that quite easily by searching for and reading information available on this forum... I can go 24hrs+ without having to charge with 3-4 hours screen time on ICS...

I do a lot of reading and searching in this forum, and only this forum have tried other forums and xda is always the best and most informative.
I had sampled some of the early ics leaks on my phone and had some decent batt stats but could not deal with the quirks and bugs the early builds had, that's why I just stuck with gb. I figured by the time ff18 ota got here that the bugs would be gone, will 99% of the bugs are gone, but the battery bug has got to be the worst. Anyways I have switched her phone back to gb with some ics themeing and all is well for now.
Agat'a ics Rom looks promising, maybe in another month or so ics will get that final polish.
Until then, gingersnaps with my coffee.

Can you elaborate on how you accomplished this. I have non rooted stock ICS and i get about 12-13 Hours with Mild use. My battery Stat always shows Android OS between 70-80% utilization as the culprit on the battery drain. I have read literally hundreds of threads over the last month and every post i read that claims to "fix" the battery issue has had zero impact with my phone. I also have a new Battery and the one that came with the phone which is about 6 months old.

That Android OS is annoying but it also has to do with how much stuff do you have running in the background, do you have a lot of widgets going at the same time. Everyones phone is different and I stay away from stock because on stock you can not fully control everything running.
Do you have an ad blocker, did you stop BS apps from loading up on start up, are all your google apps running? So many things effect battery life its not funny.
Now I know some of you say you have did a lot of searching and you may or may not of come across this app... Its for allowing your phone to sleep. I found it since I Know have a GSM Galaxy 2 now but this is for any dual or quad core phone. As always read up and see if this is for you
I just run the script and it works lovely: Script {APP} CPU Sleeper, The Battery Saver Mod! 07/12/2012 Release 2.1

damn, not the answer im looking for.
I've been helping with minor problems in the Q&A section for some time, but now I face my own problem.
After softbricking my phone 3 days ago(probably from too many tweaks crashing in the init.d folder) I re-pristined my phone, and I'll list what is its specs below after recovery.
ROM: CM9RC2
Kernel: I tried all available from HADI and CastagnalT(except CFS)
Mod: Disable CPU Render, Seeder V5, KSM, 16 bit Transparency, Force GPU render, Disabled surface dither.
Probably the standard package in CM9RC2, but thing is it random reboots(mostly from wakes after locking). Once I was watching a movie, specifically the movie is in MKV format using MX player, it rebooted instantly too, after its back to launcher its fine until I finished the movie and locked phone, then when I wake it, it freeze reboot again.
Any ideas people?
possible problems/solutions:
1- maybe it is a problem with the battery, check if it gets fat when charging. if yes then go buy a new one
2- usually battery problems end up with force shutdown, so my secound thought is that it is a problem with the add-ons. try going pristine and sticking to the stock cm9 kernel with no add-ons and see if it still reboots
3- if the above didn't work then maybe it is a hardware problem
i hope i helped

I have a strong feeling its Seeder v5 behind this. The original Seeder gave me no issues.
The battery should be fine. I check it once in awhile anyway.
Nah, I don't seeders did it, May be a wrong flash or something, btw turn off force gpu rendering it gives more performance

My battery life is fine though. If its swollen a significant effect would be drastically bad battery life. I learnt this while studying about lithium-ion batteries and experience when I'm working in a camera shop

CastagnaIT 7.5 or 7.3?
It seems many are having some difficulties with 7.5...
-- Sent from a GT-I8150 running ICS perfectly well. F'U, Sams#!t --
some factors
1. battery
2. undervolting
3. governor
4. confilicting scripts
probably there are other factor i dont know
im running cm9 rc1 with castagnaIt kernel 7.5,,
and doesnt have that issue with random reboots,,,
and i also have tons of games,,, 229 user apps to be exact,, including games,,
i also installed link2sd,, partiton my 32gb mmc into Fat32// ext2,,, and no rebooting problems,.,,
what im experiencing is that,,
when i lock my phone,, or leave the phone,, when i try to unlock the phone,,, the screen wont show up but the back button as well as the menu button lights up,,, dont know if its because of my link2sd app or what,,,
by the way,, im running pristine before i started tweaking my phone,,, and took me almost a day re-installing all my apps,,, without the use of TB,,

I once used your 1.4 but it still happened. But only once, I was in a bad mood so before it even rebooted I flashed 7.5 back LOL.
Will try using 1.4 hadiconfig back and test.
Don't think its the kernels own problem though.

this happen once on my very first extreme UV mode and this problem is reduced when i raised the voltage one stage

Screenshot from Monday AM. Please ignore the mobile network signal bar, every version of Cyanogenmod 10 I've used has the same problem where it stops logging data after about 10 - 15 hours, but my phone does pretty much always have at least 2 bars of signal where I live and work (split about 60/40 between 2G & 3G/HSDPA)
If it helps, here are the cpu states for the last 55 hours useage:

The best battery saving rom is CM9 with the older 2.6.35 kernel. So for example Arcos CM9 RC2 or RC3, the older Slimbeam ROM or this mentioned SmoothieICS. (The other two ones are just modified and themed CM9 RC2 or RC3) For even better results you need an undervolting 2.6.35 Kernel.
My battery for example lasts 3-5 days with CM9 RC2 and Arcos stock kernel. With my personal uv kernel it lasts even more.

Sure. Just drop me your e-mail via PM and I will compile one with stock voltages you then can adjust with incredicontrol to your needs. It´s because my kernel is preset to extreme undervolting voltages and that might be to much undervolting for your cpu.
Btw Arcos kernel has also deep sleep implemented and all custom kernels are basing on arcos kernel, so not only SmoothieICS is going into deepsleep but all custom roms are doing it as well.

Unfortunately the two main culprits are K9 email and ebay, both of which are pretty important for me to have running and not in a hibernated state.
However, from the last charge on my phone I have got 2 days, 4 hours, 29 mins with 12% battery remaining - so could be worse I suppose
Thanks for the suggestion though :good:

Now I'm using EHNDROIDX 4.4.2 and I think it's good!
Hi all. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (I-747) running the latest d2lte nightly build of CM11. What brings me here today is very bad battery problems. These have burdend me since I got the phone (before I installed CM11.) I would like to know what could pottentally be causing the problem. I have tried many things to fix such as turning off all not needed features, greenify certain apps, enabling android runtime(ART), going to privacy advisior and turning off all keep awake settings for my apps, and turning off sync settings. Here is a 50 minute test showing you all the battery drain(to me) of my phone with little to moderate usage. All help is appciated thanks!
Try turning off wifi, sync, NFC, Bluetooth, data, and any other toggle when not in use. Also greenify any app you can. Finally turn your screen brightness to the lowest possible setting without hindering your view.
If none of that helps, I would try another battery with more mAh.

Thanks for the feedback but as stated in the original post, all of these have been turned off and greenify has also been used. Neither helped nor solved the problem. As for a bigger battery I prefer to keep my phone slim but will consider it.
You could always try another 2600 mAh battery and see if it helps. You might also want to try a data wipe reset or restore a previous Nandroid backup....just a suggestion.

May try that too, wanna confirm its the battery before I try though as its a waste of $ if its not. I looked at the hidden menu(dail *#*#4636#*#*) battery usage settings and it says my battery is in good health. Leading me to believe it maybe my phone has faulty hardware but gonna try peoples suggestions before I say that's the cause too.

Isn't ondemand the worst? (Besides performance) and won't a CPU tuner app conflict with CM's built in one? Just making sure.
EDIT: I seen its compatible, will revert to default CPU settings on CM and try this app.

should be o.k. i've done it many times. but then again , i would go with @audit13's suggestion first. no flashing worries ! again , just my two cents.
"all i can really do , is stay out of my own way and let the will of heaven be done"
I used ondemand on a Nexus4, Moto G, , HTC One XL, and Note 3. In sleep mode, the phones, on average, drop about 1% every 2 hours. Once you start using the phone to surf, talk, etc., the battery start to drop but it's a lot better than stock settings.
The kernel you use can also have an impact on battery performance.
There should be no problem with using another cpu app with a CM ROM. I have done this on my Motorola Atrix and Moto G running a CM-based ROM.
Thanks again guys! Will try, test and report back in a day or two.
Installed Quantum Kernel and now Android System is power hungry. It is also still draining ridiculously fast, same as before. (Didn't fully charge my phone so don't be alarmed about battery percentage.)

Look up Better Battery Stats. You can get it from the play store, but I think you can find a free version posted to xda forums if you look around. It keeps track of wakelocks and system states better than the built in battery monitor.
It will let you see if you have a rogue app or service keeping your phone from getting to deep sleep when not in use.

Used to get 6-7 hrs of SOT, now I am getting around 2. Cant think of any changes to my apps or usage history

Yes, have been using the EK kernel manager with just default settings.
It's due to OnePlus brain service. Search in the forum for it and you'll find a couple of ways to stop it.

thanks. Seems like that is very hard to do. I might just disable the custom kernel. Honestly the only reason I installed it was so that I could change the vibration intensity. If anyone knows of another way to do that outside of custom kernel manager I would be all for it!
I just flashed a magisk module

I also have extreme battery drain especially when using the phone. Idle it uses not much blatter, when using I get two hours Sot.
I also have ExKernelManager with default kernel because it fixed my WiFi issue and the phone sleeps as a baby at night.

sounds like the issue is probably the kernel then. Im going to just go back to stock I think
As I read in the forum it is related to oos version 1.0.0.3 and oos 1.0.0.7 and not kernel related.
I flashed the fix mentioned in the thread but no luck for me. Cluster 3 remains on 2999 MHZ and CPU tmp still on 50+.
Seems flashing to build 1.0.0.6 is the only way to fix this issue.
Edit: I just set the max CPU from cluster 3 to lowest settings and the CPU dropped right away and temp is now steady around 30/35 degrees. For me a temporary solution till next oos update.

I got the same issue. Getting not even 2h SOT. No custom kernel here, just basic OS with darkmode on & on WIFI connection.
(Currently 1:28h screen usage at 29% battery left)
Any fix in sight for this?

Obviously a widespread issue... I think next step is for us to take it to OnePlus forums and their tech support

Phone is almost unusable for me now with such crappy battery life
Just install arter97 kernel, worked for me and clusters are running nicely now and CPU temp is low.
Battery life is improved now because cluster 3 is not hanging on 2999mhz anymore.
Just download the kernel from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...development/arter97-kernel-oneplus-7-t3952578
Just flash in your favorite kernel manager the new kernel, magisk will be preserved. First boot takes some time after flashed the kernel.

Wow. You were Right. That kernel fixed everything.
Has that kernel been your daily driver? I think I'm sold on it now!

Glad it also worked for you to.
Well i was testing and reading on the forums about the drain because I only got two hours of Sot because of cluster issue. And started testing different kernels and this one fixed everything and is my daily kernel now. Battery is improved with 90% now I have almost 3 hours Sot and 70% battery left on the first run after installing this kernel.
Regards ysco..
Just a update with the used kernel I discribed earlier.
7 hour Sot and 10% left, never had such good battery on my former oneplus devices then I have on the 7t now. So no issues anymore with battery drain.

How did you do that? I don't know how without TWRP
