Screenshot from Monday AM. Please ignore the mobile network signal bar, every version of Cyanogenmod 10 I've used has the same problem where it stops logging data after about 10 - 15 hours, but my phone does pretty much always have at least 2 bars of signal where I live and work (split about 60/40 between 2G & 3G/HSDPA)
If it helps, here are the cpu states for the last 55 hours useage:

The best battery saving rom is CM9 with the older 2.6.35 kernel. So for example Arcos CM9 RC2 or RC3, the older Slimbeam ROM or this mentioned SmoothieICS. (The other two ones are just modified and themed CM9 RC2 or RC3) For even better results you need an undervolting 2.6.35 Kernel.
My battery for example lasts 3-5 days with CM9 RC2 and Arcos stock kernel. With my personal uv kernel it lasts even more.

Sure. Just drop me your e-mail via PM and I will compile one with stock voltages you then can adjust with incredicontrol to your needs. It´s because my kernel is preset to extreme undervolting voltages and that might be to much undervolting for your cpu.
Btw Arcos kernel has also deep sleep implemented and all custom kernels are basing on arcos kernel, so not only SmoothieICS is going into deepsleep but all custom roms are doing it as well.

your awake time to screen on ratio suggests to me that your battery life could be far better than it currently is! download WLD or wakelock detector and see what is keeping your phone awake so frequently =). Then u can get greenify to hibernate the app when u r not actually using it =D

Unfortunately the two main culprits are K9 email and ebay, both of which are pretty important for me to have running and not in a hibernated state.
However, from the last charge on my phone I have got 2 days, 4 hours, 29 mins with 12% battery remaining - so could be worse I suppose
Thanks for the suggestion though :good:

I am experiencing the same, was running doom v10 before and it would consume 1% per 2-3 hours. With v11 it is 1-2% per hour. Have checked cpuspy and it is running 98% in deepsleep and battery history only show the usual cell standby as power consuming.
Have only been running v11 since yesterday but will probably go back to v10 due to the battery drain.

lol 1400/200!?!? theres ur 1st problem. use voltage control instead of setcpu and stick with 1000/100 or 1100/100. i always found cfq and conservative to be nice for battery, but apparently noop/ondemand is best. maybe try both. also turn data off when not using it most importantly. also try using the auto-start manager in the ROM Toolbox app (free in market) to disable most of ur apps from staying open or updating widgets constantly in the background. freeze system apps you don't use. forget the v6 supercharger, and i'd say stick with the stock kernel. hope that helps..
Do you expect to get good gas mileage running your car at 100 MPH on side streets? Do not OC if you want good battery life.

Thanks for schooling me...lol....I'm implementing your suggestions now....What do you mean turn data off when I'm not using it? Will I still get emails, text, etc?
I'm A O K with AOKP
If you turn of 3g data, you can still send/get phone calls and texts but no email
Also, undervolt you frequencies with voltage control, I don't think you have to go to stock kernel, but do as you please I would imagine the dark blacks from voodoo control would save battery. But anyways, Marcusant had a great guide for setting up any kernel for your phone, ill try to find it..

somebody in another epic thread posted a link to another phone's thread where this guy did a REALLY thorough study about setting up kernels. he found the noop/ondemand was best on battery and that undervolting AT MOST saves about 2% battery, but typically does just about nothing. For that reason, i wouldn't bother doing it..but it's up to you. as for voodoo color you might be right about the blacker blacks..i just noticed on cm9 that the stock kernel saved more battery for me so figured it might apply on aokp too cuz its so similar

Ahem what battery life oh okay
I haven't figured out what is so different but I get much better battery life on AOKP than CM9. My imagination or is something really different on the roms? I don't use the power saver feature because I need my data all the time.
Im running Stock Build 31 on EL30 modem and no custom kernel nor am I oc/uv. I have very few apps and I have no widgets running and im getting horrible battery drain. I purchased the 1800 battery which is a few months old and I just dont know what to do. While my phone is sleeping, the battery drain hardly even moves, but when I start doing simple things like texting or checking emails I start getting drops of 2% percent or more every 5 mins of use.
Any Suggestion would be great.

Battery Life Short - Screen Drainage

I just installed CM7.2 v1.6 because I heard its very stable and have good battery life. However, with light usage, I only get 6 hours of battery life (I used to get at least 15 hrs with the same type of usage with my old incredible 1 using OMGB rom). I checked the battery history. Apparently, my screen has been draining battery DESPITE being off. Do you guys have a solution for this? Is it my kernel?
It very well could be. You are running stock kernal?

My guess is it very well could be the kernel... but there is the possibility its the ROM.... I know with most ROMs I have tried I lose hours off my battery with them no matter what kernel I use.... try a different kernel but if it is still short I would suggest a different ROM.

I used that kernel & didn't get good battery life either. I would try aeros v9 & see if that helps. I would wipe cache & dalvic cache & then let your phone drain completely. Afterwards, I would charge it fully & you should get at least a day & half

Sweet. How many hours do you get with 3G on with minimal usage?
It's important to check, adjust & optimize your widget settings, and APPS running in the background, i.e. News & Weather, Mail & Gmail (push, updated every xx minutes,) timeout for screens (30 sec. vs. 2 minute) - along with Friendstream/Facebook & Twitter that are constant "on" - even GPS updates, as all these will "wake" up the phone, switch on 3G signal or WiFi radio, and discharge/drain the battery.
With very conservative and minimal data settings, wife's DI2 is running Skyraider's Zeus V1.3 custom Rom, #79 kernel & .312 radio, and getting as much as 5 days (100+ hours) of standby time with short voice calls, no web browsing or SMS/MMS usage.
Running Sense 2.1/3.0 custom roms, my results are worst, but typically 40 to 60, maybe 70 hours usage - with CM7 and CM9 unoffical roms, 30 to 50 hours are typical for me - the newer roms are power hungry - 20 to 40 hours running 4.x.x.x on my DI2, running modest OC (1.2 Ghz, SmartassV2 governor) with .312 radio and #21 kernel, or, Aero's 10.5 or 12 kernel.
Individual results will and do vary - generalization should be noted simply as such ...

[BATTERY DISCHARGE] share yours

How bad does your battery discharge in an hour? Overnight? Screen off?
My battery discharge is bad i think...
Around 3%-5% in an hour in screen off + without data...
For overnight, well maybe around 10%-20% without data...
Its very different when i was using galaxy ace, galaxy s plus and galaxy tab...all this device only consume about 3%-5% when i let the phone in idle for an hour with 3G data always ON...
And consume 1% for overnight without data (6-7 hours).
And i always get about 50% when use it for normal day use in 10-15 hours...
Why galaxy y sooo different? Small device with monstrous battery eater
I use my data when i need to use it now on galaxy y...its a pain when u are a fb fans or something like that
well i don`t use 2g neither 3g but when i use wifi for 1 to 2 hours i think 15 to 20% battery discharges.

I use stock rom for calling and sms, several times with wifi to read news. all Fresh stock rom even without root. I think stock rom LJ1 is good, fast performance, long time battery use.
I can watch 3 movies online ~ 4 hours continously and 100% goes down to 23%
But i have a bad news ... yesterday after i post in this topic, i root my fone to add adobe flash. And now it cant reach to 2 days on battery with call and sms ( No wifi, no 3G, no film, no game )
I dont know but i think ill unroot my phone or re-flash stock rom via odin and happy using this tiny phone without adobe flash

Check wakelocks and whether phone is deep sleeping properly. Over the first cycle on 4.2.2 Pacman ROM with NEAK, I managed to get 5.5 hrs of screen on time over a total of 2 days 5 hours. And I had not UV'ed until that point.
I also hav problems with aosp roms battery life , screen on time is good about 5:30 but standby time horrible I get about 5% drain an hour.
Wakelocks are audioout2 , l2hsic and secrilfdinterface.
