I want to try out Swapper because I heard that its good for HD Games but I'm not sure if Xperia NXT Gaming ROM has it enabled already.. I have DoomKernel v14 and I did the partition on CWM and chose 4096mb for SD-Ext2 and 256mb for Swap Size.. But when I ran adb shell it says 98mb only.. so I dont know what to do because I want my swap size to be 256mb.. I want to know if Xperia NXT Gaming ROM is Swap Enabled already or Should I download Swapper2 from Google Play?
Swap is not enabled. You need app like swapper 1 or swapper 2 from the googleplay store. Honestly having swap enabled doesnt make any difference playing hd gaming. It either lags the game or stayed the same.
But how come when I type "free' on adb shells it says 98mb swap?
*nvm i think i get it now.. thanks! D
Yes you have swap.

Xperia Play r800i
Root: superoneclick
ROM: stock
Kernel: DoomKernel v14 with WiFi modules
[UPDATE]
I've got them working again! :highfive:
Here is what I did:
Installed Minecraft 0.3.0, and when I started a new world the touch screen controls were on by default (never happened before).
So I went to the options menu and turned the "Use touch screen" off, and so touchpads worked in Minecraft.
And than some how the touchpads also worked agean in other games like The Dark Knight Rising and GTA :good:
In short:
1. Install Minecraft 0.3.0
2. In Minecraft go to options and turn off "Use touch screen"
3. Done! touchpads working agean in other games!
Let me know if this works for you to!

Overclock + RAM Manager + Supercharger v6

About that v6 supercharger. I am unable to install busybox. Any fix?

Heres what you will do TC
1- download lightning launcher and dont add any widgets or fancy stuff
its uglier than most launchers , but its also the least consuming launcher out there. it barely uses 10mb of ram when active and like 6-4 when idle
2- install v6 supercharger
dont worry about it , its almost fool proof
as for busybox , you need the supercharger starter kit .
"Using SuperCharger Starter Kit (Prepares your ROM with the fixed su binary, zipalign binary, sqlite3 binary and busybox v1.19.4... and does NOT include the V6 SuperCharger scipt):
- Extract the zip to the root of the sdcard and it will all be in /sdcard/SuperCharger_Starter_Kit
- With Script Manager, just run StartMeUp.sh to install everything at once.
- Or, in terminal do: su, enter, sh /sdcard/Super*/Start*"
download the starter kit (ctrl+f starter) from here , and also the latest version of supercharger
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18703418&postcount=5021
3- as for options i personally use HARD TO KILL launcher and custom preset i got from another app
try using them yourself if you want , just search for the option that says "v6 custOOMizer"
and add this values
10.16.32.74.86.92
4- v6 supercharger is almost foolproof but you should always have a nandroid backup , just in case. I have never heard about anyone messing up the process though , its that safe.
5- dont use any other ram tools or boosters!
ALTERNATE OPTION!
search the playstore for GameBooster and buy it . For some users , in some games , it CAN improve performance. I think my method is better though
Ok thanks for the tips. I had to reroot, install busybox and now i am getting:
Warning: incompatibility error.
A memory app of questionable integrity found!
What does this mean and which "cr-app" do I have to uninstall?
Ram manager pro or auto killer, most likely... Game booster too.
Anything that deals with ram

I recommend
I recommend you use busybox 1.8.4 for me it was the only busybox able to make v6 SC run well also use busybox installer is in play store it lets you choose the best version of busybox.
hi
i have lt18i with adv. stock kernel and ultimate hd rom.
i want to enable swap.
what should i do (beside creating swap partition on sd card)?
Use the search to find more information about how swap works.
I have Xperia Arc S (Lt18i)..
Installed Atomic GB 7, and I noticed that the TOTAL RAM (free+used) is only 250MB..
Is it normal depending the apps I used?
Previously, using the same apps combination, using Xperia Ultimate HD 3, the TOTAL is 350MB..
Emm something wrong?
Emm, btw, I modded this ROM :
- the framework and systemUI, decompiled it and recompiling again..
- I deleted many, really many system apps.. This is what I remember :
* GoogleCalendarSync
* CoreNotificationPublisher
* NotificationsProvider
* ContactsImport
* Gmail
* Talk2
* Textinput
* Widgets
* AudioEffectService
* etc
Does this 2 factors affecting the TOTAL RAM?
Screenshots in the attachment..
Please help guys..
Did you installed the Atomic GB's Arc S patch? http://d-h.st/DVY
I think you did a mistake while flashing rom or missed something. I use atomic v7 with stock kernel on my arc, total ram is about 320-330mb and there is no lag. Flash stock ftf and root & cwm then try re flashing rom with reading installation.
The arc S patch is already there.. Emm, btw, I modded this ROM :

Then you should have stated that in your OP, so the fact that others aren't having the same problems, the issue is YOU, and without listing every change you have made, it's kind of hard to help you figure out your experimentation.
First you need Root Explorer app. Go to C:\System\apps folder. Press the "Mount R/W" button on the upper right side of the screen. Delete apps you don't need. For example Gmail or Exchange service.
Warning: Don't delete apps you don't know what they are. The most critical apps are there and if you delete them you're device may misbehave.
Why don't you want to switch to JB? There you have still ~300 Mbyte RAM, and your phone is much smoother (just my opinion).

System apps folder contains application that use ROM..not RAM..
What you were explaining is to increase the size of ROM but not the RAM.. CMIIW..

Yes, I mean the RAM.. not internal memory.. I stated in the OP, I deleted many system apps already.
Is JB worth to try? Is it smoother than stock GB? I hardly can believe that JB is smoother, because naturally JB needs dual core and 1GB ram..

i tried JB once before and never wanted to try it anymore. Maybe because i chose wrong/still underdevelopment ROM. :laugh:
I can't say which one is smoother though as it really depends on what apps you have.
Personally i use the UHD ROM by jader13254 and it's working really good and smooth.
Android uses some of the RAM, you just don't see it.
I recommend controlling your app's autoruns, can be modified in Autorun Manager or Autostarts in Playstore. there's no problem in removing system apps. I uninstalled also Market Updater, Search Applications Provider(20MB Ram-used for ads, recommendations to you by play store), AccessoryKeyDispatcher, i don't remember others
Apps I also removed but not really advisable: Customization Settings, DownloadAgent, UserAgentProvider, Customized App Installer
or If you want higher ram, adjust vm.dirty_ratio=70, vm.dirty_background_ratio=50, vm.vfs_cache_pressure=10. (higher ram but laggy, i recommend dirty_ratio to be 95 and dirty_background_ratio=60)
I have LT15i and my phone can play Dungeon Hunter 4, Bladeslinger, MC4 with no lag and no oc.
hi
i use swapper 2 to extend my ram and memory , everything works fine and swap file created and on , but when i check my Ram and free space phone memory in setting / apps
Nothing change !!
i still have 340 RAM and 400 MB Phone Memory !!
i Try to use ROEHSOFT RAM-EXPANDER too and the result is the same !!
why this happend ?!?
i use [Kernel][Arc/Arc S] Stock ICS Kernel 4.1.B.0.431/587 with CWM 5.5.0.4
and [ROM] Xperia Ultimate HD 3.0.2
