Hi there,
I rooted my Desire and installed CM7 on my phone with some Apps:
AlarmDroid
AnTek Explorer
Facebook
Google Playe Store
Google-Search
Maps
Opera Mini
ROM Manager
Superuser
SwiftKey 3
Viber
Whatsapp
Now i get the warning, that i do not have enough space to install new apps. It shows me, that the internal free space is 14MB and 138MB are in use at the moment.
Do you have any hints for me to get more internal space? If I go to the installed apps i cannot move them to the SD card. I guess that they are already on the SD card because I am only able to click on "Move to phone".

Thanks for your help!!
I really suggest you to try CM7 xperia themed by nlooooo in developer section. It comes out with INT2SD implemented. A lot of space and no slowdown with a 4-6-10 class sdcard with cm 7.2.0.1 stable and fast xperia launcher
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Okay, so the only problem is that I do not have the INT2SD at my current ROM?
Can I also use App2SD instead of INT2SD?
Because here I found a nice howto to install App2sd for CM7:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917377
Just use, s2e and first 2 options check and install apps
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
for all with the same problem:
there are a few more apps with the same functionality..
Link2SD
App2SD
s2e
but for me the s2e is probably the best app!
or change your hboot to cm7r2 to get alot more memory for your apps on internal!
I have Xperia Arc S (Lt18i)..
Installed Atomic GB 7, and I noticed that the TOTAL RAM (free+used) is only 250MB..
Is it normal depending the apps I used?
Previously, using the same apps combination, using Xperia Ultimate HD 3, the TOTAL is 350MB..
Emm something wrong?
Emm, btw, I modded this ROM :
- the framework and systemUI, decompiled it and recompiling again..
- I deleted many, really many system apps.. This is what I remember :
* GoogleCalendarSync
* CoreNotificationPublisher
* NotificationsProvider
* ContactsImport
* Gmail
* Talk2
* Textinput
* Widgets
* AudioEffectService
* etc
Does this 2 factors affecting the TOTAL RAM?
Screenshots in the attachment..
Please help guys..
Did you installed the Atomic GB's Arc S patch? http://d-h.st/DVY
I think you did a mistake while flashing rom or missed something. I use atomic v7 with stock kernel on my arc, total ram is about 320-330mb and there is no lag. Flash stock ftf and root & cwm then try re flashing rom with reading installation.
The arc S patch is already there.. Emm, btw, I modded this ROM :

Then you should have stated that in your OP, so the fact that others aren't having the same problems, the issue is YOU, and without listing every change you have made, it's kind of hard to help you figure out your experimentation.
First you need Root Explorer app. Go to C:\System\apps folder. Press the "Mount R/W" button on the upper right side of the screen. Delete apps you don't need. For example Gmail or Exchange service.
Warning: Don't delete apps you don't know what they are. The most critical apps are there and if you delete them you're device may misbehave.
Why don't you want to switch to JB? There you have still ~300 Mbyte RAM, and your phone is much smoother (just my opinion).

System apps folder contains application that use ROM..not RAM..
What you were explaining is to increase the size of ROM but not the RAM.. CMIIW..

Yes, I mean the RAM.. not internal memory.. I stated in the OP, I deleted many system apps already.
Is JB worth to try? Is it smoother than stock GB? I hardly can believe that JB is smoother, because naturally JB needs dual core and 1GB ram..

i tried JB once before and never wanted to try it anymore. Maybe because i chose wrong/still underdevelopment ROM. :laugh:
I can't say which one is smoother though as it really depends on what apps you have.
Personally i use the UHD ROM by jader13254 and it's working really good and smooth.
Android uses some of the RAM, you just don't see it.
I recommend controlling your app's autoruns, can be modified in Autorun Manager or Autostarts in Playstore. there's no problem in removing system apps. I uninstalled also Market Updater, Search Applications Provider(20MB Ram-used for ads, recommendations to you by play store), AccessoryKeyDispatcher, i don't remember others
Apps I also removed but not really advisable: Customization Settings, DownloadAgent, UserAgentProvider, Customized App Installer
or If you want higher ram, adjust vm.dirty_ratio=70, vm.dirty_background_ratio=50, vm.vfs_cache_pressure=10. (higher ram but laggy, i recommend dirty_ratio to be 95 and dirty_background_ratio=60)
I have LT15i and my phone can play Dungeon Hunter 4, Bladeslinger, MC4 with no lag and no oc.
I want to try out Swapper because I heard that its good for HD Games but I'm not sure if Xperia NXT Gaming ROM has it enabled already.. I have DoomKernel v14 and I did the partition on CWM and chose 4096mb for SD-Ext2 and 256mb for Swap Size.. But when I ran adb shell it says 98mb only.. so I dont know what to do because I want my swap size to be 256mb.. I want to know if Xperia NXT Gaming ROM is Swap Enabled already or Should I download Swapper2 from Google Play?
Swap is not enabled. You need app like swapper 1 or swapper 2 from the googleplay store. Honestly having swap enabled doesnt make any difference playing hd gaming. It either lags the game or stayed the same.
But how come when I type "free' on adb shells it says 98mb swap?
*nvm i think i get it now.. thanks! D
Yes you have swap.
GIO Storrage problems en solutions:
There is sow litle storrage on the GIO. Its very anoying. I got like 12 apps only on it my self. I gues most people have Facebook, Whatsapp, MX player, a file browser and a cleaning app. Often i can't get Facebook ore whatsapp updated. Than i got to do a factory reset ore flash a new roms and install all apps again. This sucks. Sow it worth to go and look for a way to be able to run more apps on the GIO. I haven't found a good working solution jet. I havent tested all options jet. Sow i made this thread.
Some programs will move you're apps to you're sdcard. When you remove the sdcard this can give problem i found out my self
I did have to restart my phone. Not a perfect solution for me.
I personally will use 1 of the poplair cm10.x roms from Olddroid, erikcas ore what seems nice. After i install a rom i will use a small version of gapps (google apps) This will save some space. Than i install my apps. (*.apk) from sdcard and play store. Do this before using the internet browser! Often i use a app to remove some unneeded system programs to.
These are nearly all threads i found in the Gio forum about fixing the internal memory problem. Old and newer. I dont read threads that only go like "help" learn to help you're self.
Sow you're not getting the solution from me. Decide what solution works best for you. Every person is defferant, every type of phone is and every type of rom is. And sow on. Now go find you're solution.

Perfectly normal. Use a pit file (if I'm not wrong), edit it, and odin it.
