I had previously posted Telus Stock JB but it turned out to be Koodo.
I just fixed the link for the Telus page and I was going to enclose both Koodo and Telus. However I thought it would create more confusion so I have created this thread to separate the two.
This should avoid any confusion.
This is Odin flashable Official Stock JB from Koodo for T989D.

Can someone make a zip for the ROM with root. And extract the modem.
I have been slowly working on a custom rom with koodo base. Currently it has all the basics, 4 way reboot, ripple lock, some build prop tweaks and some systemUI edits (signal bars and brightness slider is gone). If anyone wants me to upload it I will.

I want please. Do you have the modem as well, you can of course include both modem and rom in one flashable file. Separate files are fine too. Thanks!
After hearing that some t989 kernel had to be changed to work with the t989d I'm only comfortable in using stock ROMs for now, unless someone can tell me different. So no CM, AOKP, etc..for me....

For whatever reason, developers of rooted stock roms like to delete this but I actually like it. Is there anyone with the files who could share?
You can can find it under the at&t dev look for Kyanrom or use this link greenromproject.com/d/kyan/?page_id=73
Make a nandroid & just flash the zip via cwm

We can use the at&t the cm10 ROM.

Can we flash all of the AT&T ROMS on our T mobile Note2? If we flash AT&T Roms on our device do we need to do anything special, flash separate Kernel or modem? Will my build prop need to be changed back to t889 or anything like that? AT&T development has a lot more than we do. Would be awesome if we can use the ROMS from those forums it would be awesome.

You'd have to make sure that the ROM has no modem included (mostly an issue for Odin images) or separate it if so. (Extract system.img from tar, repack, ideally with Cygwin.)
Your build.prop, being on the /system partition would need some work to get it back to T889 values.

all of that just went over my head
Then you might not want to flash AT&T ROMs. Understanding is very important when dabbling in flashing, especially off carrier builds.
Learn more, read up, then flash with confidence that what you are doing is safe.

I'm using madmack's 12-13 build of CM10. It's working perfectly for me... everything works. It's very stable. His ROM is in the "original" development section of the AT&T Note 2 forums. Just flash it along with JB gapps. He has also started working on CM10.1, but not everything is working.
EDIT: I have not tried mounting to my PC yet.

No need to flash a modem. Clean install first, then just flash the rom and flash gapps. I'm currently running Jelly Beer. :good:
I have Jelly Thunder running fine on mine, I just stayed in recovery and flashed Persius kernel for our device after flashing the ROM, everything working here.

Yea, I just asked someone in the Jellybeer thread if I had to worry about that, or flash a modem, or kernel. To be on the safe side.... if so, Mmm..... back on AOSP, is going to feel so good. Lol

I too am running jellybeer and it is great it will do for now till whitehawkx and cmenard relese a nice shiny new AOKP rom for us (fingers crossed) it has some AOKP features in it. All I have to say is read read read and when you are done and think you got it read again. All the info is in the the first few posts of a rom thread. just make sure that there is no modem mostr devs do not include a modem but I have notices a few that are starting to put one in so just watch if they do they usually say so because like I said it is not standard pratice.
I do have a question I have not flashed any touchwiz att roms only the unofficial cm10 and jellybeer. So on the TW roms do you have to flash o tmo kernel? The reason I ask is because on the s2 the main difference was the rotation. It was always messed up so the way to fix it was to use a tmo kernel or vice versa . Until someone made a .zip that fixed that and the device name in the build.prop so is that the same situation here.. It doesnt sound like it.
And one m ore question while I am here I posted a question in the q&A thread if anyone knows the proper lcd density. I dont like the way jellybeer is it has small fonts on the phone but everything in the market is way too big and it is driving me nutts.

That i dont know, all the note II has the same hardware, correct me if im wrong. so i dont know if flashing a tmo note II kernel with a Att TW rom will work. but CleanRom is using Persus, and i think Tmo N2 has Persus kernel, so maybe it will work
Here it is guys, i took the risks with my heart pounding every second when it was installing and booting
Using CleanRom by scrosler, here is the link
I flashed the rom, in aroma, i choosed ATT as the carrier and persus kernel, then the rest is pretty self explanatory
then i flashed Tmo modem and Tmo Persus Kernel
it booted and it is running, i powered it off and took out the battery to test if it will power back on again, and indeed it did
Clean rom works perfectly without a flaw.. no need to install any kernel, modem or anything .

Normally I Would't Suggest Flashing another carrier ROM but For Some reason People have Figured it out on the Note 11 far the first time I'Ve Seen.So for my own curiosity and im sure others as well. Lets try to make a list of all the compatible non T-Mobile roms for the Note II.
AT&T - JELLYBEER
At&T - JELLYBAM
AT&T - CleanRom
N7105 - International LL1
AT&T - JellyThunder
If you are new to flashing, please dont be the first to try new Roms. And apparently no 7100 roms!!!
Ive read somewhere we can flash any US Variant Rom as long as no modem or radio is included. But I find that hard to believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
If I'm missing any Rom's, will happily add to list
I use the international LL1 for the N7105. Works like a dream.

I know for a fact (as I have tried myself) AT&T, T-Mobile (obviously), 7105, and Sprint. Sprint did require a kernel flash (boot.img). Otherwise a modem flash is required (unless the Rom does not flash the modem, then you need not flash a modem)
Basically here is how it works:
T-Mobile : ROM
AT&T: ROM, modem
7105: ROM, modem
Sprint: ROM, modem, kernel
I would guess, Verizon would work the same as Sprint.
Sent from my SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 2
EDIT: had to add AOSP kernels are not the same as stock Samsung kernels. Basically for AOSP kernel get the boot.img from your CM7/AOKP/PA whatever AOSP ROM for your phone (I took it from madmack's CM10 and applied it to the Sprint PA ROM)

There is a dev, Teshxx who is doing a fine job of porting international and roms from other carriers. He uses the rom for a base and adapts it to the T889. The N7105 roms are stock samsung, no carrier bloat.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
Hi there guys. I too can confirm this. The all us carrier deal anyway. There are easy ways and there are better or right ways. The easy way only really requires a few lines swapped and or deleted on the rom you want and the rom your specific device requires. I've tested twice. Sprint and att via testing the two ports done by a few verizon users . However from what we've experienced ( mind you this us s3 and not note 2) you don't have to flash or worry as far as I've noticed any radios or rpm as those are written to the partitions via your ota or flashing seperately ..And we also flashed different kernel. This is just more testimony and not saying I know any facts or that I personally port or figured this out on my own. A couple of very nice devs in our verizon forum shared this info. And now many are succeeding. Thanks and hope I'm not jacking your note 2 thread. Lol

Great thread as I was wondering which ROMs I could flash safely and which I couldn't on my T-Mobile T889.
What kernel is everyone using on their Tmobile Note II, when its needed? Perseus?
Also can someone shoot me a link to the modem they flashed on their Tmo Note II?
Thanks

Just flash one of the rooted stock ROMs, or better yet flash Liquid Nitro which is essentially a nicely debloated AT&T ICS ROM with performance features and tweaks added.
HO!NO! posted his debloated v20f, which is the latest (and probably final) official ICS update. I'm going to try it out next. You'll need to manually add your ATT APN if you use it though, because it is a Bell ROM... so make sure you copy down the APN settings before you flash!
